I am a long time reader of anything written by Mychal Massie.  The man is a true conservative.

Mr. Massie has written a piece entitled:  "Blacks And Palestinians Are A Lot Alike."  It is "spot-on!"

Mychal S. Massie is an ordained minister who spent 13 years in full-time Christian Ministry. He was founder and president of the non-profit “In His Name Ministries.” He is the former National Chairman of the conservative black think tank, Project 21-The National Leadership Network of Black Conservatives and a former member of its parent think tank, the National Center for Public Policy Research. In his official capacity with this free-market, public-policy think tank, he has spoken at the U.S. Capitol, CPAC, participated in numerous press conferences on Capitol Hill, the National Press Club and testified concerning property rights pursuant to the “Endangered Species Act” before the Chairman of the House Committee on Resources. He has been a keynote speaker at colleges and universities nationwide, at Tea Party Rallies, as well as rallies supporting our troops, conservative presidents, and conservative causes across the country. He is an unapologetic supporter of our right to own and carry firearms.

Oh, Mr. Massie also happens to be a black American. 

In his article Mr. Massie says:

"The Jews are no more the enemies of the Palestinians than Americans are the suppressors of blacks. The question that begs an answer is where would these same blacks crying foul be if they weren’t in America? Mr. Massie continues:  "... it is not the Palestinians terrorizing Israel who are sitting in palatial splendor and opulence complete with gold toilets; it is not the blacks chanting the support of race-mongers who are the benefactors of the racial antipathy.

Blacks have not benefited from the visceral heterodoxy of Sharpton, Jackson, Obama, Holder, or for that matter Louis Farrakhan. The blacks crying foul and being led to see racism behind every bush are not benefiting from their untoward and often manufactured complaints. But the same cannot be said for the race-mongers who are quick to inflame their laments. American Leftists have continued their mantra of  "Let's have a national conversation about racism in America."  But it is impossible -- made so by the very political movement that cries crocodile tears as they plead for that racism conversation.

The moment the conversation nears the truth, they cry "foul," To make matters worse, and to completely stop any conversation about racism in America, they accuse those who truly DO want to talk, (out in the open) about racism in America, of being racists!

So we're not going there anymore.  It's a bit like Charlie Brown having the football plucked from in front of his foot each fall by Lucy.  We're tired of it.  We've had it.  Most of us now refuse to even discuss racism any longer. We are sure that it is a hopelessly compromised argument no longer answerable to reason and not worthy of our time or consideration. 

Let's be clear.  There IS racism in America.  But let's be clear about something else.  If America isn't the least racist country on the planet, then America is certainly amongst the least racist countries on the globe.

So, whose the loser here?  Funny thing is the losers don't see themselves as having lost.  As Mr. Massie said above, they are easily led.   Unfortunately, they have been led into a false sense of pride at being imaginary modern day slaves.   And to be sure, they ARE slaves, but it is voluntary servitude to masters from amongst them who preach to them and tell them that which they long to hear ...  excuses ...  excuses for their own inability to hoist themselves up after having been free for over 150 years in a nation that offers every opportunity for advancement possible to man.

There is no excuse for sloth.   Sloth is identified in the Holy Scriptures of the Judeo-Christian faith as the personification of a deadly sin.  And it is deadly -- to the soul.  It robs one of ambition and induces a feeling of well being even though one is in the direst of circumstances. 

Look.  Racism has always existed and always will.  To mistrust anyone not like us was, and remains, a part of the nature's defense mechanism wired into to every human being.   It is also within each of us to rise above misplaced distrust and determine to live and work together to make our coexistence as pleasant as possible.

And finally:  There is not a man, woman, or child walking the earth today who does not have slavery in his genealogy.  Somewhere in all our ancestry we are all descended from slaves.   So much for being a descendant of slaves as an excuse for one's station in modern life.

Slavery STILL exists, even today.  According to a recent article in the Washington Post  there are some 30 million slaves today -- in the year 2014.

My friend and fellow commentator, Alan Caruba, said in an article entitled: "I am Tired of Being Called a White Racist," which was published back in 2013:  "I don’t know when it occurred to me that I had gone from having shaken hands with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. to being called a white racist, but apparently I was not paying attention.

Neither were a lot of others of my generation who had welcomed and supported the Civil Rights movement only to discover we were not going to hear a word of thanks. Mr Caruba went on to say:  "Speaking solely for myself I am extremely disappointed by the failure of too many black Americans to simply admit that there is something terribly wrong in a community that has too many abortions, too many fatherless children, too much exploitation of welfare systems, too much drug use and trafficking, and too much blame on white racism for these and other ills.

Instead of seeing evidence that the black community in America is mounting an effort to address its problems what I and others see and hear are the same tired race hustlers, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and others, spewing the same “blame whitey” rhetoric.

Like Mr. Caruba, I, too, am tired of the white racist label.  I refuse to be yoked with a guilt I do not deserve.   It is past time for the white race to turn its collective back on the false cries of racism -- and just walk away.

More fraudulent science from EPA 

Finalized Tier 3 gasoline sulfur rules will bring bogus benefits at high health and welfare price

The Obama Environmental Protection Agency recently slashed the maximum allowable sulfur content in gasoline from 30 parts per million to 10 ppm. The agency claims its new “Tier 3” rule will bring $7 billion to $19 billion in annual health benefits by 2030. “These standards are a win for public health, a win for our environment and a win for our pocketbooks,” EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy insists. 

It’s all hokum. Like all too many rules emanating from EPA these days, the gasoline regulations are a case study in how America’s economy, jobs, living standards, health and welfare are being pummeled by secretive, deceptive, and indeed fraudulent and corrupt government practices. 

 Since the Clean Air Act was passed in 1970, America’s cars have eliminated some 99% of pollutants that once came out of tailpipes, notes air quality expert Joel Schwartz. Since 2004, under Tier 2 rules, refiners have reduced sulfur in gasoline from an average of 300 ppm to 30 ppm – a 90% drop, on top of pre-2004 reductions. In addition, because newer cars start out cleaner and stay cleaner throughout their lives, fleet turnover is reducing emissions by 8 to10 percent per year, steadily improving air quality. 

The net result, says a 2012 Environ International study, is that ground-level ozone concentrations will fall even more dramatically by 2022.  Volatile organic pollutants will plummet by 62%, carbon monoxide by 51% and nitrous oxides by 80% – beyond reductions already achieved between 1970 and 2004. 

EPA (which once promised to be ultra-transparent) claims its rules will add less than a penny per gallon to gasoline prices; but it won’t say how it arrived at that estimate. Industry sources say the Tier 3 rules will require $10 billion in upfront capital expenditures, an additional $2.4 billion in annual compliance expenses, significant increases in refinery energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, an extra 5-9 cents per gallon in manufacturing costs, which will certainly hit consumers at the pump.

But regardless of their ultimate cost, the rules will reduce monthly ozone levels by just 1.2 parts per billion during rush hour, says Environ. That’s equivalent to 12 cents out of $100 million or 1.2 seconds out of 32,000 years. These minuscule improvements could not even have been measured by equipment existing a couple decades ago. Their contribution to improved human health will be essentially zero. 

Not so, say the EPA, Sierra Club and American Lung Association (ALA). The rules will reduce asthma in “the children,” they insist. However, asthma incidences have been increasing, while air pollution has declined – demonstrating that the pollution-asthma connection is a red herring. The disease is caused by allergies, a failure to expose young children to sufficient allergens to cause their immune systems to build resistance to airborne allergens, and lack of sufficient exercise to keep lungs robust. Not surprisingly, a Southern California study found no association between asthma hospitalizations and air pollution levels.

Moreover, EPA paid the ALA $20 million between 2001 and 2010. No wonder it echoes agency claims about air quality and lung problems. The payments continue today, while EPA also funnels millions to various environmentalist pressure groups – and even to “independent” EPA scientific review panels – that likewise rubber stamp too many EPA pollution claims, studies and regulatory actions. 

As Ron Arnold recently reported in The Washington Examiner, 15 of EPA’s Clean Air Scientific Advisory Committee members have received $180.8 million in EPA grants since 2000. One CASAC panelist (Ed Avol of USC) received $51.7 million! The seven CASAC executive committee members pocketed $80.2 million. Imagine Big Oil paying that kind of cash to an advisory group, and calling it “independent.” The news media, government and environmentalists would have a field day with that one.

The Clean Air Act, Information Quality Act, Executive Order 12866 and other laws require that agencies assess both the costs and benefits of proposed regulations, and implement them only if the rules’ benefits clearly exceed and justify their costs. However, EPA and other agencies systematically and illegally violate these rules, routinely inflate the alleged benefits of their rules, and habitually minimize or ignore their adverse impacts on energy supplies and prices, jobs, the economy, and human health and welfare. 

Reporting on a hearing held by Rep. Lamar Smith (R-TX), chairman of the House Science, Space and Technology Committee, Arnold noted that CASAC members say they weren’t even aware that they are obligated to advise EPA on both benefits and costs. Former EPA Assistant Administrator for Air and Radiation Jeff Holmstead testified, “As far as I know, CASAC never fulfilled this requirement as it relates to the ozone standard or any other” rule. 

Former CASAC chairman Dr. Roger McClellan told Rep. Smith he did not think the panel “ever advised EPA to take account of the role of socioeconomic factors, unemployment or other risk factors” adversely affecting people’s health. Another former CASAC member testified that the advisory committee was not even “allowed to discuss any of the adverse consequences” associated with new rulemakings. 

EPA regulations impose countless billions of dollars in annual impacts on the US economy, according to studies by the Heritage Foundation, Competitive Enterprise Institute and Government Accountability Office. Estimates of total compliance costs for all federal regulations range to nearly $2 trillion per year. Some may bring benefits, but many or most also inflict significant harm on human health. 

They mean millions of layoffs, far fewer jobs created, and steadily declining quality of life for millions of Americans, who cannot heat and cool their homes properly, pay the rent and mortgage, or save for retirement. They mean increased commuting to multiple jobs, poor nutrition, sleep deprivation, higher incidences of depression and alcohol, drug, spousal and child abuse, and lower life expectancies. 

In another example, EPA justifies its onerous carbon dioxide regulations by asserting that Earth’s climate is highly sensitive to C02, hypothesizing every conceivable carbon cost, and imputing huge monetized damages from hydrocarbon use and CO2 emissions ($36/ton of CO2 emitted). This completely ignores the most obvious and enormous job, health and welfare benefits of using fossil fuels; the benefits of higher carbon dioxide levels for food crops, forests and grasslands; and even the harmful effects that these regulations are having on energy prices and reliability, and thus people’s jobs, health and welfare.

The EPA, ALA and CASAC likewise insist that new Mercury and Air Toxic Standards for coal-fired power plants will bring huge health benefits. However, the mercury risks were hugely overblown, the proclaimed dangers from fine particulates were contradicted by EPA’s own illegal experiments on human subjects – and the agency never assessed the health and welfare damage that the MATS rules will impose by causing the loss of 200,000 jobs and 23,000 megawatts of reliable, affordable electricity by 2015. 

Similarly, EPA and CASAC blithely failed to consider the human carnage that will result from their new 54.5 mpg vehicle mileage standards, as people are forced into smaller, lighter, less safe cars. Having based numerous regulations on Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change reports that have been roundly criticized as erroneous and even fraudulent, EPA now refuses to reconsider any of its rules, even though there has been no warming for 17 years and the IPCC itself is back-peddling on previous claims. 

Ignoring all these facts, the nation’s automakers nevertheless supported EPA’s Tier 3 sulfur rules. They prefer to have a single national standard, instead of one for California and one for the other 49 states. But to “Californiacate” America’s regulatory system is exactly the wrong direction to go. The once-Golden State has among the most perverse taxes and regulations – and thus some of the highest unemployment rates, especially for blacks, Hispanics and inland communities. Instead of emulating its strangulation by regulation proclivities, we should be forcing it to adopt more commonsense, scientifically sound rules. 

Congress, state legislatures, attorneys general, people and courts need to exert much greater control over now unaccountable government agencies. We need to terminate regulations based on the absurd view that there is no safe pollution threshold. The dose always makes the poison. 

We also need to end the million-dollar payoffs to advisory groups, make them represent multiple interests and viewpoints – and ensure that government agencies fully and honestly assess and account for the harmful effects of regulations on human health and welfare, as required by law.

Putin & Obama working together to split up the spoils after the war?

Ever since Obama's "open-mic moment" when he told then Russian President Dmitry Medvedev that "Vlad" needed to be patient with: "On all these issues, particularly on missile defense, this, this can be solved but it's important for him to give me space" which was followed by his continuing with "this is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility." Many still continue to state – even well-known talk show hosts – that Obama meant only missile defense. But that's not what he said. Instead, Obama stated "On ALL of these issues..." That means the deal between the two – Obama and Putin – involved a great deal more than Obama deleting the USA's missile defense. I believe we are now deeply entrenched in Obama's promised "flexibility"...to our great detriment.

There are ostensible conservatives in America who are singing the praises of Russia and Putin louder and louder each day, while deriding the USA and the EU. I must say that I agree with the disdain for the growing NAZI-like flavor of the EU and those who regularly read my column know my negative views about the US under Dictator-in-Chief Obama. However, via his recent and soon to be enacted takeover of all of Ukraine – and likely even more land grabs – Putin is not the "strong" leader purported by the suspect pro-Putin crowd. He is – instead – a despotic figure. Obama, Putin and the EU leadership are totalitarian and are becoming more and more violent as time passes.

Recently, Obama and Putin have had multiple phone conversations, ostensibly about Putin's illegal annexation of Crimea and his 100,000 troops poised on Ukraine's border, in order to complete the takeover of the rest of that country. Despite his recent Stalinist behaviors, Putin's American advocates continue to say that he is "merely a Russian nationalist" and "had the right to take back Crimea." After the infamous and aforementioned open-mic incident, I have been writing and saying that Obama and Putin had made a devil's deal with each other that, ultimately, will involve the final destruction of the USA. Since the "Ukraine crisis" reared its ugly head, it has been reported that each time Obama has spoken with Putin it has been for at least an hour. The first time they spoke the Obama media said that the conversation lasted for an hour and a half. An hour and a half to tell "Vlad" to cease and desist in Ukraine? I think not. In my opinion, despite what we see on television when Obama and members of his criminal organization call Putin a "bully" (A bully? Really? Is that the best they can do?) and place sanctions on individuals in the Russian Oligarchy, Obama is working with – not against – Putin. And it's long past time for the media – most of whom don't seem to realize that they will die with the rest of us – to begin telling the truth; if for no other reason than their own survival.

Let me ask a question. If Obama is so angry with Putin and is "sanctioning" members of his government, why is the US supplying military equipment to Russia? Doesn't make sense...does it? I suggest that we have – as prophesied – reentered the Days of Noah...when even the soil was corrupted.

“The Communist Party [CPUSA] enjoyed great success with “front groups,” organizations they controlled without that control being publicly recognized.  One of the major front groups, the League of American Writers, had been an outgrowth of the American Writer’s Congress, an affiliate of the International Union of Revolutionary Writers, headquartered in Moscow.  During the 1930s, at the height of its success, the League even managed to enlist Franklin Delano Roosevelt, the President of the United States.

The founders of the [Soviet Union] were fascinated with the cinema because they recognized that it allowed limitless alteration of reality, the very goal they that they were attempting to achieve in real life.  “Communists must always consider that of all the arts the motion picture is the most important,” said Lenin, who sent cinema trains into the Russian countryside during the 1920s. [Stalin explained in 1936 that] “The cinema is not only a vital agitprop device for the education and political indoctrination of the workers, but also a fluent channel through which to reach the minds and shape the desires of people everywhere.”

In 1926, Sergei Eisenstein, the USSR’s premier cineaste, made Battleship Potemkin, a film about a sailors’ mutiny.  The Soviets used the movie as part of their labor-organizing efforts.  Joseph Goebbels praised the picture and said it should be the model for Nazi cinema.  French actor Yves Montand, who was born to communist Italian parents who fled France from Mussolini’s Fascist regime, said it was the dramatic Potemkin, not the turgid Das Kapital, that stirred his loyalties to Marxism and the USSR.

In 1933, at the nadir of the Depression, impoverished New Yorkers paid $89,931 in four days to see King Kong, at the time a record draw for an indoor attraction. Party cultural officials, eager as Stalin to influence people “everywhere,” duly took notice of Hollywood’s clout . . . and even Stalin enjoyed American gangster movies. 

The implications of such influence were staggering to those who were seeking to extend this major movement of their time.  Stalin reportedly claimed that he could easily convert the world to communism if he controlled the American movie industry.

“One of the most pressing tasks confronting the Communist Party in the field of Propaganda,” wrote [Communist International] boss Willie Muenzenberg, “is the conquest of this supremely important propaganda unit, until now the monopoly of the ruling class.  We must wrest it from them and turn it against them.”

By the mid-1930s the tectonic shifts of history, and certainly the social and political conditions of the time, were all favorable to the Party, which was then moving from triumph to triumph.  Hollywood loomed as one of its easier targets.”

A History of the Disastrous Global Warming Hoax

“It is the greatest deception in history and the extent of the damage has yet to be exposed and measured,” says Dr. Tim Ball in his new book, “The Deliberate Corruption of Climate Science”.

Dr. Ball has been a climatologist for more than forty years and was one of the earliest critics of the global warming hoax that was initiated by the United Nations environmental program that was established in 1972 and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) established in 1988.

Several UN conferences set in motion the hoax that is based on the assertion that carbon dioxide (CO2) was causing a dramatic surge in heating the Earth. IPCC reports have continued to spread this lie through their summaries for policy makers that influenced policies that have caused nations worldwide to spend billions to reduce and restrict CO2 emissions. Manmade climate change—called anthropogenic global warming—continues to be the message though mankind plays no role whatever

There is no scientific support for the UN theory.

CO2, despite being a minor element of the Earth’s atmosphere, is essential for all life on Earth because it is the food that nourishes all vegetation. The Earth has passed through many periods of high levels of CO2 and many cycles of warming and cooling that are part of the life of the planet.

“Science works by creating theories based on assumptions,” Dr. Ball notes, “then other scientists—performing their skeptical role—test them. The structure and mandate of the IPCC was in direct contradiction of this scientific method. They set out to prove the theory rather than disprove it.”

“The atmosphere,” Dr. Ball notes, “is three-dimensional and dynamic, so building a computer model that even approximates reality requires far more data than exists and much greater understanding of an extremely turbulent and complex system.” No computer model put forth by the IPCC in support of global warming has been accurate, nor ever could be.

Most of the reports were created by a small group of men working within the Climate Research Unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia and all were members of the IPCC. The result was “a totally false picture supposedly based on science.”

The revelations of emails between the members of the CRU were made available in 2009 by an unknown source. Dr. Ball quotes Phil Jones, the Director of the CRU at the time of the leaks, and Tom Wigley, a former director addressing other CRU members admiting that “Many of the uncertainties surrounding the cause of climate change will never be resolved because the necessary data are lacking.”

The IPCC depended upon the public’s lack of knowledge regarding the science involved and the global warming hoax was greatly aided because the “mainstream media bought into and promoted the unproven theory. Scientists who challenged were denied funding and marginalized. National environmental policies were introduced based on the misleading information” of the IPCC summaries of their reports.

“By the time of the 2001 IPCC Third Assessment Report, the politics and hysteria about climate change had risen to a level that demanded clear evidence of a human signal,” notes Dr. Ball. “An entire industry had developed around massive funding from government. A large number of academic, political, and bureaucratic careers had evolved and depended on expansion of the evidence. Environmentalists were increasing pressure on the public and thereby politicians.”

The growing problem for the CRU and the entire global warming hoax was that no clear evidence existed to blame mankind for changes in the climate and still largely unknown to the public was the fact that the Earth has passed through many natural cycles of warmth and cooling. If humans were responsible, how could the CRU explain a succession of ice ages over millions of years?

The CRU emails revealed their growing concerns regarding a cooling cycle that had begun in the late 1990s and now, some seventeen years later, the Earth is in a widely recognized cooling cycle.

Moreover, the hoax was aimed at vast reductions in the use of coal, oil, and natural gas, as well as nuclear power to produce the electricity on which all modern life depends. There was advocacy of solar and wind power to replace them and nations undertook costly programs to bring about the reduction of the CO2 “fossil fuels” produced and spent billions on the “green” energy. That program is being abandoned.

At the heart of the hoax is a contempt for mankind and a belief that population worldwide should be reduced. The science advisor to President Obama, John Holdren, has advocated forced abortions, sterilization by introducing infertility drugs into the nation’s drinking water and food, and other totalitarian measures. “Overpopulation is still central to the use of climate change as a political vehicle,” warns Dr. Ball.

Given that the environmental movement has been around since the 1960s, it has taken decades for the public to grasp its intent and the torrents of lies that have been used to advance it. “More people,” notes Dr. Ball, “are starting to understand that what they’re told about climate change by academia, the mass media, and the government is wrong, especially the propaganda coming from the UN and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.”

“Ridiculous claims—like the science is settled or the debate is over—triggered a growing realization that something was wrong.”  When the global warming advocates began to tell people that cooling is caused by warming, the public has realized how absurd the entire UN climate change argument has been.

Worse, however, has been “the deliberate deceptions, misinformation, manipulation of records and misapplying scientific method and research” to pursue a political objective. Much of this is clearly unlawful, but it is unlikely that any of those who perpetrated the hoax will ever be punished and, in the case of Al Gore and the IPCC, they shared a Nobel Peace Prize!

We are all in debt to Dr. Ball and a score of his fellow scientists who exposed the lies and debunked the hoax; their numbers are growing with thousands of scientists signing petitions and participating in international conferences to expose this massive global deception.

You know, this would be funny if it were not so serious.

As a former card carrying member of the press, I have had my share of run-ins with those who threw every roadblock in my way when I was doing my job gathering and delivering the news.  

One -- less than sterling -- moment was a stand-up, in your face, yelling, verbal fight with a deputy sheriff on court house grounds.  He was threatening to arrest me for doing my job.  I was begging him to go ahead and put the cuffs on.  I did, however, remind him that he was opening himself -- and the county -- up to a millions of dollars lawsuit for violation of my civil rights and, even more importantly, my constitutional rights as a journalist granted under the First Amendment to the Constitution.  
I won.  (Oh, and yes, later in life I became a deputy sheriff myself.  So, I've had the advantage of seeing the issue from both sides.  I still come down on the side of the First Amendment.)

There is no secret that the Mainstream Media is subject to a death grip on their throats by the liberal/Progressive/Marxist elements in governments around the globe and especially here in America where freedom of the press is guaranteed by our constitution.  Do not be deceived, that constitutional guarantee does not mean the Left will not make every attempt in their power to control the press and -- if that fails -- then they will pull out all the stops to muzzle the press.

For decades, nay,  for centuries, the press in America has been warned over, and over, and over again, that the political left, which they unreservedly serve,  will come after them, first thing, should they (the Left) ever gain complete control of the US government. It is the nature of the Leftist beast.

To date, the US Mainstream Media has pooh-poohed all the warnings the political Right has issued, especially those warning that the free press will be the very first constitutional guarantee suddenly dissolved and done away with.

Should our current Leftist leaders follow suit of their forerunners in Europe, Asia, and other parts of the so-called civilized world, shutting down the presses will only be the beginning.  Members of the press could and, I feel certain will, find themselves locked away in some sort of internment camp, or holding facility, somewhere in the less populated areas of our vast country.

Plainly put -- they don't believe us.  Even with the wall the Obama administration has built between the administration and the public's eyes into the government, and the workings of the government, the slavish members of the leftist Mainstream Media in America STILL will not believe and , I daresay, when they are led away in handcuffs, and stashed, incommunicado, in one of those internment camps we mentioned above, they will STILL hang on to their mantra of freedom of the press and they will not be able to accept that they have been wrong all these decades and, even worse, the political Right has been correct all along.

Currently, the Mainstream Media is looking, somewhat askance, at an attempt at a national/federal shield law in some form of development within the democratically controlled US Senate.  It was proposed by Chuck Schumer, Democrat of New York.  It is titled:   the “Free Flow of Information Act.”

Some reports leaked out of the Senate say the law would shield only "approved" or, as the article above states, "covered journalists."

The article goes on to quote John Cornyn, Republican Senator of Texas, as saying:  "They want to pick and choose which journalists are covered,” the Texan Republican told Breitbart News. “In other words, if you’re a blogger they might not cover you, but if you work for the New York Times they might. Given the changes in the way we get information and the way we consume news, that really smacks to me in essence of government licensing who’s an official ‘journalist’ for the purposes of a shield law and who’s not. See the problem here? So who is an approved or covered journalist?   And an even more important question is ... by approving certain journalists -- is the government creating it's own government press corp with allegiance to the government and not to the people?  Will it result in a state controlled media?

Senator Schumer says he already has the 60 votes he needs for passage of the bill in the US Senate.  It was not clear if any of those votes were from Republican senators.

The plain truth is, dear reader, when the government begins to fool around with the constitution it is the people who lose freedom.  That includes the members of the press as both private citizens and as members of the press/media.

The First Amendment is what it is.  Freedom of the press.  Even an attempt by the government to pass a federal shield law is interference with our constitutional right and ought not be allowed -- not even considered.

Methinks it is time to gear-up the "vast right wing conspiracy."

The Clintons are BAAA-aaack! 

About the time we thought it was safe to get back into politics, WHAM O!  The sharks are in a fury churning the political waters so violently they are sucking mud up from the bottom feeder's domain.

I must tell you, I hate the very idea of having to suffer through another Clinton campaign and, saints preserve us, another 4-year Clinton Administration.   It is repugnant to me, I mean, the embarrassment from the various scandals that seem to follow those people, "The Clintons."

Somehow, many of us, this scribe included, felt dirty and tainted just by living in a country where "those people" could attain high office.

And now we are looking at the very real possibility that we're are going to have that Clinton yoke hung round our collective necks once again. 

Makes me wonder what the country did that has angered God so much?! (Yes, I know our national sins are mountainous!)

Gennifer Flowersgate - Bill Clinton denied a 12 year affair with Gennifer Flowers. She taped phone calls with him but he claimed they were false and branded her a liar. Now he has admitted to at least some of the affair. It turns out Clinton was the liar.

Filegate - This involves the discovery of over 900 Republican FBI files in the White House. The Clinton administration called it a mistake.

Vince Fostergate - Soon after Clinton lawyer Vince Foster committed suicide, his office was cleared out, which included Whitewater billing records and several key pieces of evidence.

Whitewater Billing Recordsgate - Years after they had disappeared from Vince fosters office, subpoenaed Whitewater billing records mysteriously appeared in the White House.

Paula Jonesgate -

Federal Building Campaign Phone Callsgate -Al Gore made over 75 illegal phone calls to solicit contributions to the DNC from federal property.

Lincoln Bedroomgate - DNC donors were allowed to spend the night in the Lincoln bedroom for a contribution of $150,000.

Donations from Convicted Drug and Weapons Dealersgate - The Clintons were photographed on numerous occasions meeting with drug ring leader Jorge Cabrera at fundraising events. Clinton donations also came from a convicted illegal arms dealer and Chinese government agents.

Buddhist Templegate - Al Gore attended a money funneling event/fundraiser at a Buddhist temple then claimed he never knew about it being a fundraiser.

Lippogate - A total of $452,000 in illegal donations was given to the DNC from the Indonesian Lippo group. John Huang, a Clinton cronie and former Commerce department official with top level FBI clearance pled guilty to funneling Lippo group and Chinese donations to the DNC.

Chinagate - Attempts were made by Communist China to funnel money to the Clinton campaign and influence elections in 1996. Charlie Trie, one of Clintons trusted DNC fundraisers, attempted to funnel this money. When faced with indictment he fled to China. Another money funneler for the communists and Clinton campaign, Johnny Chung, went to jail.

The Lewinsky Affair - Clinton's affair with an intern and the subsequent denial to the American People, which turned out to be a lie.

Perjury and Jobs for Lewinskygate - There was evidence that Lewinsky was instructed how to hide the affair by Clinton and offered a job by Vernon Jordan - as an "incentive" to remain quiet.

Willeygate - Kathleen Willey directly accused President Clinton of fondling her in the White House then attempting to hide it. Willey was a Democrat and enthusiastic Clinton supporter.

Web Hubbell Prison Phone Callgate - While in prison, Web Hubbell was taped making phone calls in which methods were discussed to achieve a pardon and evidence on other Clinton scandals was discussed.

Selling Military Technology to the Chinesegate - Clinton administration gave military technology to Communist China. This information included satellite guidance technology and enough information for communist China to modernize their nuclear arsenal.

Wag the Doggate - The repeated use of the United States military to draw attention away from the Presidential impeachment proceedings. One day before he was to be impeached, Clinton called an uncharacteristic suprise air attack on Iraq.

Jaunita Broaddrick Gate - Jaunita Broaddrick, a former Clinton campaigner in Arkansas, appeared on national television and accused Clinton of raping her in the late seventies.

Vandalgate - Before leaving the White House, members of the Clinton administration vandalized the Whitehouse as a "prank" on the incoming Republican administration.

Lootergate - Bill and Hillary Clinton left the Whitehouse with silverware, furniture, and many items that were donated to the Whire House. They claimed the items were given to them. Included was a multi thousand dollar furniture set belonging to the Interior Department, which the Clintons had tried to claim as a gift before being forced to return it under pressure.

Pardongate - On the night before and morning of his departure from office, Bill Clinton made several controversial "midnight" pardons. Aside from pardoning political allies and scandal co-conspirators such as Susan McDougal, Henry Cisneros, and his brother Roger, Bill pardoned fugitive criminal millionaire Marc Rich. Among Rich's crimes were oil deals with Iran during the hostage crisis and ties to arms smuggling. Hillary Clinton's brother Hugh Rodham was paid over $400,000 dollars for successfully fighting for pardons and commutations for criminals Carlos Vignali and Almon Glenn Braswell. Hillary and Bill denied any knowledge of Hugh's involvement and, under pressure, called on him to return the money.

Sometime ago we wrote of our “Hamlet on the Potomac.”  You know -- the one in the Oval Office.

If you listen closely you can hear Obama twisting himself into knots asking the wrenching question: “To lead… or NOT to lead?” (Our apologies to Bill Shakespeare!)

As America’s regal eagle, King Obama resembles Denmark’s overly sensitive prince, Hamlet, in so many ways. Obama never seems quite able to make up his mind. He pines away in the shadow of such great presidents a Ronald Reagan, Teddy Roosevelt, James Monroe, et al.

I am so thankful to all the lackeys  surrounding Obama for informing the nation that Obama is the smartest President the country has ever had, bar none!  Heck, had they not told me that, I'd never have known!  Dumb me!

The Democrats have a problem understanding that intelligence and education does not necessarily translate into the ability to lead.  In fact, some of our greatest leaders have been men and women of average intelligence. 

One can be a genius and yet unable to inspire others to follow. One can be a genius and still be frightened of one's own shadow.  One can be a genius and be frozen into indecision and inaction by any number of things -- such as -- fear of failure.

The Democrats need to understand that explaining Obama's inability to make a decision, to take action, to LEAD, is not due to his genius.  It is a weakness. Obama is a weak leader and the world knows it.  Worse, or enemies know it and they are taking advantage of it.  Consider  Russia's Putin in the Crimea and the Ukraine -- and -- let us not forget Syria.  (One must wonder if Obama is "flexible" enough yet for Mr. Putin?)   

Even with all those "smarts" Obama doesn’t seem to understand the consequences of all that soul searching he is attributed by his flunkies. Nor does he seem to understand that while he “takes his time” and “considers carefully,” bodies keep piling up and circumstances that claimed those bodies (and will claim more) continue to worsen.

I can’t shake the feeling that the escalating body count comes in a distant second, in priority, to Obama’s efforts to save the US Senate for the Democrats in November. 

Every President of the United States gets to define his own “doctrine.” My personal favorite was James Monroe’s, which came to be known, of course, as the Monroe Doctrine. It served the country well -- until we began to elect “internationalist” Presidents, like Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, and Barack Hussein Obama. All three of these Presidents relied heavily upon the so-called (or as a TV commentator said  -- “fabled”) International Community, to either solve problems around the globe or take the lead in seeking solutions to those problems.

It didn’t, and it doesn’t, work.

When Obama went to the United Nations – FIRST – to ask PERMISSION to intervene in Libya and DID NOT GO FIRST to the US Congress where lies the constitutional power to declare war, it was clear where his allegiance lay/lies.

Mr. Obama has said he considers himself a citizen of the world. (Could it be that Obama is the first citizen of the world, not a citizen of the US, to hold the office of US President?? We will learn the truth of this only after his days in office are ended.) If that is so, then he was acting within character when he ignored the US constitution and the US Congress. Seems to me these are grounds for impeachment.

Watching Obama make a decision, especially one that involves US foreign policy to any degree, IS like watching Hamlet wrestling through every line of the play. In short order, the reader, or observer of the play, wants to take the screwed-up prince and give him a swift kick in the butt to reset what passes for his mind.

I’ll let you in on a little secret of mine. I don’t think Obama is all that bright. Nosiree, I don’t. See, I learned in grammar school that a fellow with an average IQ and an expansive vocabulary with the ability to speak authoritatively -- and do so in public -- could con folks into believing he was smarter than the average Joe.

Well, it’s not really a con -- if YOU don’t PRESENT yourself as smarter that other folks.

It is the nature of the human animal to seek out a well-spoken leader (Ofttimes mistakenly perceived as an “Alpha” personality) to follow. Yes, humans DO act more like sheep than I am comfortable with.

Problem is – our reluctant leader, our Shakespearean prince in Washington, DID present himself as smarter than everyone else. (At least his cohort of socialist fellow travelers did.) The risk involved when one does that is simply that … at some point … your bluff is going to be called.

OBAMA'S BLUFF HAS BEEN CALLED and it turns out – between Obama and Hillary Clinton – Hillary’s testosterone levels are much higher!

Speaking of Presidential doctrines, I think Ronald Reagan’s was every bit as clear as that of Teddy Roosevelt. Put simply, Reagan’s doctrine was: You harm an American, anywhere in the world, and we will come after you. You cannot hide. It is short and sweet and to the point. The world knew that when Reagan said it … Reagan meant it!

George H. W. Bush’s doctrine was to follow the UN’s direction -- and he did. Of course, we had to turn around and go right back to Iraq, to finish the job, when his son took office.

The George W. Bush Doctrine was “hit ‘em first!” It was to fight them “over there” so we didn’t have to fight them “over here.” The thing I don’t like about it was our feeble attempt at nation building. We might have been able to carry it off in the 1940’s and 1950’s with Germany and Japan, but today -- we suck at it!

Bill Clinton’s Doctrine was to lob a few cruise missiles into a reputed aspirin factory, after dark, when no body was in the building, which, reports tell us, was an abandoned building, anyway. And Clinton insisted our warplanes over Serbia had to drop bombs from such a high altitude that the bomb runs were a useless waste of munitions.

Obama’s Doctrine is to first dither while the bodies pile up -- and then, when all else fails, persuade someone else to do it. Then, find a way to take credit for it – if it goes well, of course.

Understand: I did not want America involved in Libya, in Egypt, in Syria, or in any of the Middle Eastern countries now in flames. I am not unconvinced that the whole blow-up in the Islamic nations of the Middle East was designed as an old “draw play” worthy of my Native American ancestors, to draw a weakened America, with a decidedly weak President, into a unending, continually deepening, fray that would suck the life out of our economy and eventually collapse our government.

Talk about having the right man, in the right place, at the right time! For our Middle Eastern enemies Obama was a godsend -- the same for our domestic enemies, as well.

America, today, resembles a great ship caught in a storm, rudderless, and being blown onto the rocks of doom by the winds of change brought us by the Obama Regime.

Conservatives are desperately tossing sea anchors over the side hoping to slow the great ship’s eminent doom until a new captain can be elected, the rudder repaired, and a new course stirred taking the massive vessel away from the shoals of certain disaster.

To affect the rescue of America we need a candidate for President who actually has a chance at winning. NONE of those expected to announce as candidates stand a snowball’s chance in Hades, in August, against the great socialist machine already switching their massive efforts from Obama to Hillary Clinton.

In my opinion, people of faith would do well to petition the deity to whom they pray to mercifully cut short our chastisement and send America a leader who will lead us in the quest to restore America’s greatness and once again illuminate the “great city set on a hill” as a beacon to all mankind.

It is patently clear that the Obama administration and the Left have always intended to scuttle the military, and it is irritating to me that so many couch the intent as "social experimentation." Yes, the means of turning the greatest fighting force on the globe into a third-world look-alike is through feigned social equity, but the ultimate goal is to destroy the organization. That fact should not be soft-pedaled.

Women who are ill-equipped to be fighters because they lack the physical characteristics that provide for masculine strength; homosexuals, whose primary focus is sexual sodomy; and way too many people who join the military for government benefits do not make for a quality fighting force. A weak military is a useless military, and the Left is well-aware of this fact.

None of the rot that has infiltrated America's military ranks would be quite so abominable if it had been allowed to happen to a less stellar fighting force. I emphasize allowed to happen, because very few supposedly conservative groups have lifted a finger against the Administration's assaults – from tying soldiers' hands during combat to persecuting Christian members. When Obama and the Democrats (with the help of Republican Scott Brown and a few other Republican Senators) forced an acceptance of open homosexuality in the armed forces, few noted conservatives gave support to the Center for Military Readiness (CMR) and Elaine Donnelly, President, who was the voice of reason on behalf of the rank and file.

It was fully known by all involved that the majority of military personnel opposed the removal of the ban on open homosexuality in the military, because it jeopardizes their safety, health, and freedom of conscience. The CMR provided statistics to prove the danger of that twisted decision (http://cmrlink.org/), but so-called "conservative" forces scarcely made a peep.

There was nothing from the likes of Fox News (the so-called "conservative" news outlet), nor anything of substance from conservative groups or religious organizations, who knew full well that lifting the ban would sound the death knell of the United States military. Everybody was running scared from activist homosexuals and their leftist and Libertarian supporters, just as they turned tail and ran from rabid feminists back when that group insisted on the integration of women into male units.

After imploring my conservative contacts to fight the madness, because the troops needed our support, I was told by a conservative male friend that the military was so ordered that they would keep things in check. Yeah, sure. Homosexual assaults on males are up since the ban was removed, in the same way that rapes and pregnancies went up when feminists forced the integration of women into the all-male ranks.*

Women, by the way, have always served valiantly in the military, but back when sanity reigned, they were in their own units – remember the WAC, the WAF, and the WAVES? I do. Back then, America had a great military with little of the messiness that ensues when degeneracy and perversion are heartily embraced to appease the minority position.

When the Democrats, the Left, and a few elitist Republicans were lying through their teeth about there being no harm to lifting the ban against open homosexuality in the military – a ban that had held since Washington's Continental Army – I was irritatingly puzzled at the lack of male voices joining this lone woman, Donnelly, at the forefront of fighting for America's military.

We know that the rank and file cannot speak out against the politically appointed civilian leaders who direct the military. These unprincipled, power-seeking leaders have seldom been supportive of the fighting forces; their aim has always been to climb the ranks and pander to the political class that appoints them. And our current political class is one rotten bunch. But I certainly expected former and retired military men to speak up forcefully for those enlisted members, when it might have mattered.

Only now, after permanent harm has been done and Obama has turned his attention to getting rid of top generals, are voices being raised. F. Michael Maloof wrote a telling article for the March 2014 issue of Whistleblower magazine (WND.com), which features military leaders who have been removed for sundry (likely trumped-up) reasons. These men give their assessments of what is happening to what was once the greatest military on the globe.

In the article, Major General Paul Vallely (retired) states that "political correctness" has permeated the military and is negatively affecting everyone from top generals to the ranks of the enlisted. Some of the affected officers are taking legal action against the government, and I hope that more will follow suit. One Senior Master Sgt. Philip Monk was relieved of his position for refusing to agree with the homosexual agenda of his commanding officer, herself a homosexual. Major Vallely added that the planned agenda is to squash any dialogue in the ranks on any issue on which Obama's administration disagrees.

The destruction is reaching into the elite forces, as well. These forces have heretofore escaped female and homosexual influences, but that is changing. In an article posted at the WND.com Web site, March 17, 2014, Greg Corombos points out that the Obama administration endangered perhaps the best known unit of the elite Navy SEALs, SEAL Team Six. Team Six is the group that successfully targeted and killed Osama bin Laden in May 2011.

Corombos speculates that the public revealing of the SEALs' role in the mission may be the reason that many of them are now dead. Instead of shielding the identity of the men, Vice President Joe Biden publicly identified them just two days after the raid. (Read more at http://www.wnd.com/2014/03/674241/#EPBoby47m5Tgtf5Z.99.) The obvious ineptitude of Joe Biden may indicate that this action was simply the result of his limited intelligence. But I would not rule out a deliberate attempt to target these brave men for elimination. I put nothing past this lawless, gutless administration.

My personal disgust with these circumstances is not just that the military and so many other solid American institutions have been destroyed by Obama and the Democrat Left. What rankles me even more is the ease with which they have been allowed to do it. I am ashamed of the lack of will of so many Americans to fight for the members of the military when they cannot fight for themselves. And I simply do not comprehend the tepid response to an administration so obviously set on the complete destruction of this country.

Elaine Donnelly needs a heck of a lot more people with clout in her corner, in addition to everyday Americans. Conservatives need to grow spines when it comes to protecting the forces that have for so long protected us.

The recent Report of the Defense Department Office of Sexual Assault and Prevention (SAPRO) chronicles a record of abject failure that is getting worse. Instead of pausing to seriously re-evaluate flawed policies, the Obama Administration is ordering the armed forces to extend escalating misconduct problems into "tip of the spear" combat arms units such as Army and Marine infantry and Special Operations Forces.

Data and graphs published in both volumes of the annual SAPRO Report for 2013 reveal disastrous consequences of many years of social experiments with human sexuality in our military. For example:

• Contrary to claims of success following repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," SAPRO charts showing gender breakdowns of completed investigations indicate that 12% of unrestricted reports and more than 13% of restricted reports were filed by men. (Vol. I, Exh. 17, p. 81 and Exh. 27, p. 88, which includes an additional 8% segment marked "gender data not available.")
  
  
• In addition, Volume II of the SAPRO report, which presents "virtual" findings extrapolated from the Workplace and Gender Relations Survey of Active-Duty members (WGRA), suggest that more men are victims of abuse than women are. Of the nearly 26,000 active-duty survey respondents, 6.1% of women and 1.2% of men said they had experienced sexual assault in the past year. (Vol. II, Fig. 6, p. 13) In an article titled "Sexual Assaults in Military Raise Alarms in Washington" (Jennifer Steinhauer, May 7, 2013) the New York Times concluded that in 2012, 12,100 of the 203,000 women on active-duty and 13,900 of the 1.2 million men on active-duty had experienced some form of sexual assault.
