You should be aware that if you are an American and you are an opponent of amnesty for illegal aliens now living in the United States the President says you are a demagogue.

Don’t believe me? Well take a look at Obama’s answer to a reporter’s question concerning so-called “immigration reform” which, translated, means: “Amnesty” for illegal aliens hiding (in plain sight) in the US today. Here’s what the Prez said:

“Now, am I going to be able to snap my fingers and get this done? No,” said Obama. “This is going to be difficult; it's going to require bipartisan cooperation. There are going to be demagogues out there who try to suggest that any form of pathway for legalization for those who are already in the United States is unacceptable. And those are fights that I'd have to have if my poll numbers are at 70 or if my poll numbers are at 40. That's just the nature of the U.S. immigration debate. But ultimately, I think the American people want fairness, Obama continued. “And we can create a system in which you have strong border security, we have an orderly process for people to come in, but we're also giving an opportunity for those who are already in the United States to be able to achieve a pathway to citizenship so that they don't have to live in the shadows, and their children and their grandchildren can have a full participation in the United States. So I'm confident we can get it done.” That, dear reader, is the President of the US speaking.

Have you stopped to consider how many millions more will pile onto the dole US taxpayers will have to support if this amnesty bill passes? 12 million is a drop in the bucket to the REAL figure, which you are NOT going to hear bandied about by this administration, nor the democrat/socialists in the Congress.

Obama and the democrat/socialists must REALLY think the average American is an idiot! Why, they are so disconnected from the reality in America today that they have no idea the odor they get a whiff of every now and again is the tar and feathers being prepared in their honor! Well, a few of the congressmen and senators attending some of the town hall meetings have felt the heat. But not enough - not nearly enough, to put the fear of God into them!

I have asked before: How is it that Washington cannot feel the anger of the average US citizen toward any relaxing of the immigration laws, especially toward the Hispanics who are flooding our country and bringing our health services, and educational services, and welfare services, to the breaking pint? How can Congress and the President not know this? How?

Common sense dictates that they MUST know this. So, why are they continuing to refuse to secure our southern border and return those illegal Hispanics, already inside the US, back to Mexico… or their country of origin? Instead, they now want to make those who are already here illegally… legal? Are they nuts???

No, they are not nuts. They just don’t give a damn what you and I think, or want or NOT want, as the case may be. We don’t count. Our votes used to count - but no longer. You see, the democrat/socialists have managed to secure the votes of the less literate among us to override our dissenting votes, anyway. So, I have to conclude our vote truly doesn’t count.

Look, they have sent armies of “helpers” into the field to register “new” voters from among those whose livelihood depends on the government check they receive the first of each month. And it worked! Now, add to those legions the millions of illegal aliens who will be voting for the democrat/socialists as soon as the Obama Regime pronounces them “legal,” and you and I will be overruled at the ballot box in perpetuity.

If the Amnesty Bill is passed we will truly lose America… forever.

There’s a story titled: “White House appears ready to drop 'public option” over at MyWay.com. It is an AP story written by PHILIP ELLIOTT. In the story Mr. Elliott says the following: “President Barack Obama's administration signaled on Sunday it is ready to abandon the idea of giving Americans the option of government-run health insurance as part of his ambitious health care proposal.

Facing mounting opposition to the overhaul, administration officials left open the chance for a compromise with Republicans that would include health insurance cooperatives. Such a concession is likely to enrage his liberal supporters but could deliver Obama a much-needed win on a top domestic priority opposed by GOP lawmakers.”

I must tell you that we conservatives are not amused by this fantastic piece of political maneuvering by the socialists in the Obama Regime. See, we recognize this move for what it is - Incrementalism - pure and simple. Socialists have been using Incrementalism to get what they want for decades now and it really works, especially in an apathetic America. It is my opinion, Obama and his henchmen plan on getting everything they have originally proposed only they intend to get it one piece at a time rather than the whole thing at once. THAT is Incrementalism. And THAT, in my humble opinion, is exactly what this move by the Obama Regime is all about.

Obama’s ratings are dropping like a stone in water and along with it goes much of his political capital. To save as much of that political capital as possible he needs a win, or, at the very least something the left can point to, with the aid of their minions in the MSM, and claim as a victory over conservatives and the Republican Party.

Obama absolutely MUST save some political capital for his NEXT big move. That is Amnesty for the 12 million or so, illegal aliens now in the US. That is supposed to be the next big thing from the Obama machine. Oh, they don’t refer to it as AMNESTY; of course, they refer to it as Immigration Reform. But a pivotal part of that reform is AMNESTY.

Look, we conservatives cannot afford to back down one iota now. We have not won, and we have not lost, but we have slowed Obama’s momentum and we must not waver - not now, not ever!

I ran across another excellent article by Jim O’Neill over at The Canadian Free Press the other day titled: Treason, Eugenics, and Left-wing Lunacy. In the piece Mr. O’Neill says: “Obama-Care, as it was originally written, was nothing but a way to destroy America as a free republic, and replace it with a repressive collectivist regime—under the guise of compassionate concern for the disenfranchised. It’s the same old Communist/Fascist song and dance—no more, no less.” Read more HERE.

Also in Mr. O’ Neill’s piece he makes a valiant attempt to once again establish the fact of historical truth that Nazis were a left-wing party, and Hitler was a Far-Left revolutionary of the first order. Mr. O’Neill points out that the Left will take anything they decide is no longer desirable and plaster it all over the right wing, when they can. Mr. O’Neill says: “We really must insist that the left-wing take back their “gift” of swastikas and jackboots. It’s theirs, it has always been theirs, and we refuse to be hung with their albatross any longer.”

What those of us who are fighting ObamaCare so fiercely are trying to impress upon you and get others to understand is simply this: ObamaCare is nothing more than the same old communist and fascist boondoggle they have tried in so many countries the world over. The destruction of the Republic of America is the primary goal.

Friedrich Nietzsche, a darling of the Left (even though he eventually went insane) said this: “The essential characteristic of a good and healthy aristocracy [ruling elite] is… that it accepts with good conscience the sacrifice of an enormous amount of people, who, for its sake, must be pressed down and reduced to incomplete human beings, to slaves, to tools.”

This, dear reader, is exactly where the Democrat/Socialists in the Congress and our socialist President Obama are hell bent on taking the country of America… if we don’t stop them. This is why we cannot let up. We must do our utmost to block every move they make for as long as it takes. Our way of life as free Americans is at stake. We owe far too much to those who have gone before us and given everything, including their lives, in defense of this country and the constitution. Can we do any less? I think not.

Sitting here, in the Hurricane Alley of the Carolinas, as I am, with two or three storms churning to my east, as I write this, I have become something of a student of hurricanes… as all residents of the Carolina coast must. It is a self-defense measure.

All the “Chicken Littles” running around yelling that Hurricanes are becoming more powerful are just wrong. This year’s storms are well within the bounds of the Saffir-Simpson scale. (At least - so far!) The Saffir-Simpson scale categorizes hurricane intensity on a scale of one to five. (CAT-5 storms have winds above 155 mph.) Although Katrina’s winds reached, at one point, 175 mph, they didn’t remain there for long. She was a Cat-4 when she made landfall.

The increase in damage costs are escalating, for one reason, and one reason only… the rise in building along the southern coasts. The more property there is for a storm to destroy, the higher the cost of that storm. It’s just common sense.

Lives lost, as the result of a storm, is, altogether, another thing. In most cases, that can be laid at the feet of the individual(s) who died.

One out of every 4, or 5, hurricanes to develop in the Atlantic strikes the shore near where I live. Residents in this part of the US have deep respect for these monsters of nature and we do not take them lightly. We treat every one as a potential killer. Each storm is different. They may look alike, and they may have characteristics similar, but, always, they are different. They are near totally unpredictable. We like to think we can predict what they are going to do, and when, but we can only hazard educated guesses.

Look, when we are sitting, huddled in our homes, and the very house is vibrating from the power of the winds and horizontal rains, we recognize just how infinitesimal we are in the face of the power of Nature and Nature’s God. It is then we understand that no matter how strong we may become, no matter how self sufficient we become, just one act of God can bring us to our knees. This is brought home to those of us in the Southeastern states every year.

Science is a wonderful thing and I have all the respect in the world for it. But, science cannot create a hurricane. Science cannot disrupt a hurricane. It is all science can do to give us an approximate point of landfall. More often than not, they even get that wrong.

As the rebuilding of New Orleans continues, I would warn that we should not be surprised if, before this season is over, another storm pays a call on the “sunken city”.

One would have to be a fool to bet otherwise.

So, when ordinary Americans show up to protest this vile imposition of enslavement by the government, they are called “mobs” and “un-American” by the DEMOCRATS that want to impose this monstrosity on us.

This bill must be killed.

These Democrats must be replaced in the 2010 midterm elections.

This President must be resisted every day of those remaining in his term.

Months ago, this commentator warned that Obama, and the democrat/socialists would overreach. My prediction has come true. And HOW!

It wasn’t much of a prediction, anyway. In a way, I sort of feel sorry for the democrats. They cannot help themselves, poor things. They are all about power and when they get just at taste of it they go gluttonous and begin grasping and grabbing for all the power within their reach - and then they begin going after power that is outside their reach. That is where Obama and the democrats find themselves today. It has ALWAYS been the downfall of the democrats in power.

Power. It is all about power! We’ve got it. They want it… and they are trying to take it from us.

ObamaCare is all about power. It is the ultimate power grab by the US government. Let’s face it, folks. The politicians don’t like taking orders from us. I mean, who the hell do we think we are, anyway? We’re just supposed to vote and then sit down and shut up. I believe the President, himself, said something on that order just recently. I mean about “sitting down and shutting up!”

Our government is out of control and the American people have just now recognized that fact.

One of the agencies of our government out of control is, in my opinion, the Federal Communications Commission.

I toiled in the broadcasting industry for nearly 30 years of my life and believe me when I tell you that to broadcasters the FCC is GOD! Broadcasters are ALWAYS at the mercy of the FCC. And now, according to CNSNEWS.com the newly appointed Chief Diversity Officer of the Federal Communications Commission, has called for making private broadcasting companies pay licensing fees equal to their total operating costs to allow public broadcasting outlets to spend the same on their operations as the private companies do. What they are proposing, you see, is for broadcasters to finance their government-funded competition! It is preposterous! You can read the entire story HERE. This all goes back to the democrat/socialist power grasping and power grabbing mentioned above.

We have stated before that the majority of Americans are conservative. You don’t have to like it. It remains a fact, however. And, at this point in American history, conservatives are angry with their government and they are hell bent on bringing the government back under control.

This angry confrontation Congresspersons and Senators are having with constituents back home is just the tip of the iceberg.

Another of this scribe’s predictions is coming true as well. We warned, months ago, that if Obama were elected, militia units would spring up again all over the nation. We learned from news reports, over the past few days, that that, indeed, has happened. There is an article entitled: “Officials see rise in militia groups across U.S.” You’ll find it HERE. The American people do not trust this government.

I have said many times, I have no crystal ball. I am not clairvoyant. I’m just an old country boy who tends to use the common sense my creator gave me. Besides, an idiot could have made both those predictions. It was as obvious as the sun at noon.

As a Southerner, I am not enamored of Abraham Lincoln. I sometimes turn a five-dollar bill face down when handing it to a cashier rather than have Lincoln’s face leering at me. But, he did say something once, back in 1848 it was, that folks are remembering during these troubling times. Lincoln said the following: "Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up, and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable – a most sacred right – a right, which we hope and believe, is to liberate the world."

"Nor," said Lincoln, "is this right confined to cases in which the whole people of an existing government may choose to exercise it. Any portion of such people that can, may revolutionize, and make their own, of so much of the territory as they inhabit."

If the quote above does not sound like the Lincoln of which you were taught in Public School, you begin to grasp why we call them “government schools.”

Look, the American people have proven time and time again they will only be pushed so far - by anyone, including their own government. The government in Washington today would do well to reevaluate the course they are taking - and back off. They are tossing bills in the hopper with a depth of consideration one would equate with that of a prepubescent teenager! We, the American people, are no longer amused!

I want to get something off my chest.

Since I began this blog and it began to get the exposure it needed to begin to register on the Blogoshere, I have been getting vicious, bitter, hate filled comments from readers, and 99.9% of it is from the Political Left in America.

It is as though they can hardly contain their hate for everything and everybody who does not share their socialist views of the US and the world. There is absolutely no room for discord, unbelief, or descent among them. You must toe their party line, believe what they do or you are a fascist, a bigot, a racist, a homophobe, narrow-minded, close-minded, nazi, … and the list goes on of the bitter smears they heap upon anyone who does not march in lock step with them.

If I dare point this out (as I do from time to time) an avalanche of hate mail is unleashed upon this lowly blog! I’m sure it’s the same way at other conservative sites.

Now, I’m no shrink, but I believe a shrink would say this is a manifestation of the self-hate and impotency of the political left.

Now, to the Political Right: You’re not vocal enough. Plainly and simply, we do not raise our voices often enough in defense of our beliefs and our right to be a conservative. We are, indeed, the Silent Majority President Nixon mentioned. And it is hurting the efforts of the Right in this country.

When you read a blog posting you like, leave an encouraging comment. After all, the Right Wing bloggers are on the front lines of the battle with the Left. The left does not hesitate to excoriate the right wing bloggers; they could certainly use your defense!

There is a war, in progress, in cyberspace, especially in the blogosphere between the political left and the political right. This is a war, which will last well into the future. The Right wants to participate in the blogosphere, and the Left wants to control it.

The blogoshere is the new front lines. A new frontier, if you will and whoever is there first with the most will recognize the rewards it can offer.

More and more people, the world over, are turning to the blogoshere for their news and information.

The Political Right needs to gear up, organize, and go after its share of the blogoshere right now. You can believe this: with the Left in control of the US government they are most certainly going make an effort to gain control of the world wide web – the Internet. My guess is - they have already laid out a strategy and are fine-tuning it now.

It took the Right 40 years to get itself together in order to gain control of all three branches of the US government. Of course, that is when we conservatives learned the right had lost its ability to govern! Now the tables have been completely turned. The socialist left is in charge of the US government.
