Will Deep Throat be Prosecuted?

Will Deep Throat be prosecuted?

Your will not be surprised to learn that Richard Nixon was one of my favorite Presidents of the US. Having stated that, for the record, you will not be surprised to learn that I would like to see the Feds prosecute "Deep Throat" for passing confidential FBI files to the MSM, if, that is, in fact, what he did.

There is no question that Mr. Nixon got what was coming to him. That does not justify, in my mind, breaking the law to pass information along to reporters who were known to be unfriendly to the White House in the first place. As most of us have been taught from our mother’s knee: “Two wrongs don’t make a right”.

President Nixon paid the price for his misdeeds. Now, it is time for “Deep Throat” to pay for his.

There is no excuse for breaking the law. However, he is protected by the one-sided clock afforded the left for members of it’s own cause, whether republican or democrat.

"Deep Throat" is being applauded all over the MSM.(for new readers MSM is: Mainstream Media.) There is a veritable orgy of self-congratulations polluting the airwaves of the broadcast media. And, by the time the print media is delivered to our homes, another orgy will be played out all over the pages of newsprint. Then, of course, the weekly News Magazines will play the same song, third verse. It is nauseating.

The double standard of the MSM is on public display, for everyone to see, with the story of "Deep Throat". If you ever had ANY doubt, as to the bias of the MSM, your doubt should now be erased... forever.

Would that John Ashecroft was still US Attorney General. This case would be handled properly, according to the law. Our new US Attorney General, I believe, is keeping a low profile waiting for his nomination to fill the first vacancy on the Supreme Court. No high profile cases will be coming out of the US Justice Department for a while.

I know it is wishful thinking to expect the law, and the press, to act with evenhandedness in cases such as this. Still, respect for the law is, well, used to be, the hallmark of this republic. It appears that too, has gone by the wayside as the fight for power has taken prominence in the once hallowed halls of the US Government in Washington.

What a world we have created. A world of lies and counter lies, of facades of innocence to cover the "power-grabbing" going on behind that screen.

Is it any wonder the readership of the print media in this country is down…way down? Is it any wonder the liberal broadcast networks have lost, and are losing, viewers by the thousands? The American public is far more educated now that we have the unfiltered Internet.

The shameful display of the MSM wallowing in the putrid pools of self-congratulations is abhorrent to watch, to read and hear.

This once great nation continues to devour itself. Pity, pity.

Your Obedient Servant,

“Longstreet”

Fellow Republicans: Below is the list of Senate Republicans who sold the Republican Party out with their “agreement” with the Democrats on the filibuster of Conservative Judicial Nominees.

Republicans: Lincoln Chafee (Rhode Island) 08, Susan Collins (Maine) 08, Mike DeWine (Ohio) 06, Lindsey Graham (South Carolina) 08, John McCain (Arizona) 08, John Warner (Virginia) 08, Olympia Snowe (Maine) o6.

The next election is next year. You know how to vote. Your choice is “clear cut”.
