Dreaded ‘Global Cooling’ Is Finally Here ... Kevin Roeten

Dreaded ‘Global Cooling’ Is Finally Here

By Kevin Roeten:

Polar Vortex Cooling, Not Heating

The recent vicious cold temperatures slamming the U.S. has actually acquired a ‘media-attached’ name—the Polar Vortex.  They are convinced it must be associated with Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW). Media has determined it’s the best way to attach this to the AGW agenda. It’s getting colder in the Antarctic summer, but AGW believers are trying to convince others more severe winters just mean AGW is coming.

“Nature” also studiously avoided mentioning IPCC’s 2012 “Special Report on Extreme Weather,” finding no link between warmer weather and worse storms.

Despite record cold around the globe, increasing ice sheets at the poles and savage snow covering huge portions of North America, the United Nations (U.N.) has announced its next global warming international meeting for NYC: “Climate Summit 2014: Catalyzing Action.”.  What’s going on?

Remote Sensing Systems Satellite
It recently became known there has been no global warming at all for more than 15 years. The RSS satellite [MSU / AMSU | Remote Sensing Systems] of worldwide temperatures shows a zero trend for exactly 204 months. Even the London Daily Mail reported, the “world’s top climate scientists were told to ‘cover up’ the fact that the earth’s temperature hasn’t risen for the last 15 years.”

Last Fifteen-Year Climate Result
In Exploiting the dead to hype climate change – WorldNetDaily, Christopher Monckton (Brenchley), shows precisely how global temperatures have been flat-lining from 11/96-10-/13.

Graph of global temperatures for last 15 years:

As can be seen, atmospheric [CO2] continues to rise, but global temperature has been flat-lining for two decades. Most ‘news’ media won’t reveal that information. Rising [CO2] is supposedly the cause of all AGW. But for decades it has not been happening.
“Climategate” simply documented the falsification of scientific data attempting to ‘prove’ AGW theories.

This now-widely-known truth was confirmed last month in a leaked report, six years’ work by the U.N.Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), supposedly the ‘authority’ on climate change.

Amid ongoing warnings about perils of AGW and rising sea levels, comes the extent of sea ice surrounding Antarctica setting a new record in September — for the second year in a row. NASA reported this as the largest extent in the satellite record.

Skeptic Mark Morano
Marc Morano [ClimateDepot.com] in a televised debate during U.N.’s 2013 climate summit (Warsaw), was challenged by an interviewer in a heated exchange. Morano explicitly described scientific evidence no longer validates the assumption earth has been warming. The interviewer asked Morano what would convince him there’s a AGW threat. Morano replied: “You would have to see unprecedented climate and weather and we have neither.”  The interviewer never admitted the medieval warm period was warmer than current temperatures.

Morano’s website  showed a study issued by NOAA documenting that U.S. weather in 2013 was the least extreme ever, with the number of tornadoes the lowest in several decades, the fewest U.S. forest fires since 1984, and the number of days of 100-degree Fahrenheit heat turning out to be the lowest in the past 100 years of available records. All this was simply citing National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, NOAA, data.
WND recently reported that within the span of a week, Cairo saw its first snow in 100 years. Oregon, as well as many other states, reached its coldest temperature in 40 years. Chicago saw its coldest days ever, and–-with Antarctica in the ‘heyday’ of summer–reached the coldest temperature ever recorded anywhere on earth. Even NYC breaks 118-year-low.

Remember just a few years ago believers in AGW (politically called ‘climate change’) did not believe cold weather and snow would ever come back?

Well-known scientist Art Robinson has spearheaded The Petition Project, which to date has gathered 31,487 scientists’ signatures agreeing there is “no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gases is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth’s atmosphere and disruption of the Earth’s climate.”  Of scientists signing the petition, 9,029 hold a Ph.D..

Robinson (Chemistry Ph.D./CalTech), also thought it’s interesting to be living in a period when [CO2] is rising, yet temperatures are flat or falling. Robinson said weather changes over time, and the global system goes through cycles, some slightly warmer and some slightly cooler than others. “We just have to get used to fluctuations. Earth does go through cycles.”  Right now it’s cool. While it was snowing in Cairo for the first time in a century, Jerusalem received up to 20 inches.

Why this obsession with AGW with so little evidence, but still pushing massive new governmental policies? The answer is obvious, says Robinson: “Power and money,” obtained through laws initiated because of ‘supposed’ AGW, and limiting peoples’ actions with lives and property.

Signs To Obvious Cooling
Trends show growth of Antarctic sea ice at ~1.5 percent per decade. NASA actually disclosed: “Multiple factors — including the geography of Antarctica, the region’s winds, as well as air and ocean temperatures — all affect the ice.”  Shocking information from an organization previously promoting AGW.

The Polar Vortex typically occurs in midwinter, but only in the polar regions. Liberal mainstream media have decided the vernacular of ‘polar vortex’ can be somehow associated with AGW with those who refuse to believe in reality.

Curiously, all those sailors of all those icebreakers stuck in Antarctic summer ice (Chinese, Australian, U.S., Russian, etc…) no longer hold that view.
