Americans Are NEVER Alone

Americans Are NEVER Alone

Big Government Is Watching And Listening to EVERYTHING.

A Commentary by J. D. Longstreet

Americans are no longer free.  You are kidding yourself if you continue to think that you, as an American, are free.

The US government has shredded the US Constitution and done away with American’s privacy.  It simply doesn’t exist anymore.

We are watched and listened to every moment of every day.  From the moment our feet hit the floor in the morning until we go to bed at night.  Even while we sleep, the looming hand of government hangs over us like a Damocles Sword.  Every movement we make is tracked.

The government monitors every phone call we make.  The government monitors every email we send.  Leave your home and facial recognition cameras pick up your movement on the city streets and highways.

Even inside our homes, the government has the ability to see through the very walls and watch our movements.

Driving on our streets and highways government agents with Back Scatter x-rays can see into your automobile, truck, or van, and see clearly what and who, is inside.

Soon, the US government will be flying drones over America to keep tabs on its citizens just as the government already does to our enemies. In a matter of months,  local police department drones will join government drones in our skies – all WATCHING YOU (and ME)!

Send you kids to school with a lunch mommy prepared just for them, and some government bureaucrat snatches the bag and checks it to see if the child’s parents are feeding their kids the foods the GOVERNMENT wants their kids to have – not the foods mommy and daddy want their kids to eat and enjoy.

I saw an article, the other day,  that noted that some cities are considering forbidding citizens from smoking on their own property if they are OUTSIDE the house.

Americans dare not fill in a mud hole on their property for fear the federal government will arrest them for defiling a “wetland” of some sort.

The government has decided we are a nation of fat people.  Have you looked at the government Body Mass Index?  If I lived by that thing  -- I’d look like a stick!

On the Internet, your favorite search engine will soon know more about you than you very own family knows.

I have warned often in the past about RFID transmitters in the items you buy in your local big box store.  It is a radio transmitter which tracks the garment you purchased and will allow the person, or persons, or government, with a received tuned to that frequency to track wherever you go when you are wearing that garment.

I have just scratched the surface in this commentary.  It is much worse than we "formerly" free Americans can even guess.

Look.  I am so old I can remember WHEN AMERICA WAS ACTUALLY A FREE COUNTRY.  So, every time the government twists the screws another turn I feel it more than most … my whole generation does.

But we don’t matter anymore.

We had our shot at life and now, as we approach the grave, heck, we’re just old fuddy-duddies muttering gibberish about an America that was once the greatest nation on the face of the earth -- precisely because we were free!

The conduct of America’s government today rivals and even “mirrors” that of the old Soviet Union, and 1930’s Germany under the rule of der Furher!  It sure as heck does not mirror the US Constitution!  But, then again, Americans have been brainwashed in our public school system, over the past two generations, that the US Constitution is a “living, breathing,” document that can be changed or ignored at the whim of the government.  Can you believe it?   Can you believe there are fully grown, adult, America men and women who actually believe the constitution is no longer relevant?

Why, I even heard one of our Supreme Court Justices say recently that she would not recommend the US constitution as a model for new governments to consider when writing their own, and most likely, their FIRST constitution.

And you know the worst of it?  I don’t believe there is the chance of a snowball rolling clear across Hades, in the middle of August, that today’s Americans have the stones to confront the US government and demand that it (the government and all of American society) be ruled by the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights!

Like Pavlov’s dog, we have been taught to react when the government rings the bell. We’ve become a nation of lackeys for a government that is crushing freedom out of existence in America. It makes no difference if a velvet fist -- or a mailed fist is crushing America -- the end result is the same – crushing slavery.

Americans now belong to a single huge plantation stretching from the Atlantic to the Pacific and from the Gulf of Mexico to the Canadian border.  Our owners are in those two big white houses in Washington, DC.  But, hey, we are going to clothed, fed, and have our medical needs taken care of so – what’s to complain about?

Problem is – most Americans today do not know the answer to that fundamental question.  Ignorance of that answer has sentenced America to lifelong slavery for its citizens and a place in the dustbin of history alongside other grand experiments that also failed.

To learn who, exactly, is ultimately responsible for America’s failure – one has only to look in a mirror.

EPA morphs into the 'Blob'

EPA morphs into the 'Blob'
From TYSK News
*********************

Remember the old Sci-Fi flick The Blob? The Blob engulfed everything in its path.

“A mysterious creature from another planet, resembling a giant blob of jelly, lands on earth. The people of a nearby small town refuse to listen to some teenagers who have witnessed the blob's destructive power. “In the meantime, the blob just keeps on getting bigger.” [source]

Not content with declaring the air you exhale as a pollutant – a.k.a. carbon dioxide – the EPA is now considering the regulation of dust!!

Specifically, the dust generated by the evil practice of ... farming.

EPA to Crack Down on Farm Dust

OKLAHOMA CITY — The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is considering a crackdown on farm dust, so senators [21 Senators – link for letter] have signed a letter addressing their concerns on the possible regulations.

The letter dated July 23 to the EPA states, "If approved, would establish the most stringent and unparalleled regulation of dust in our nation's history." It further states, "We respect efforts for a clean and healthy environment, but not at the expense of common sense. These identified levels will be extremely burdensome for farmers and livestock producers to attain. Whether its livestock kicking up dust, soybeans being combined on a dry day in the fall, or driving a car down the gravel road, dust is a naturally occurring event."

Many in the Oklahoma farming industry are opposed to the EPA's consideration. One farmer said the possible regulations are ridiculous.

"It's plain common sense, we don't want to do anything detrimental," said farmer Curtis Roberts. "If the dust is detrimental to us, it's going to be to everybody. We're not going to do anything to hurt ourselves or our farm."

Roberts, a fourth generation farmer and rancher in Arcadia, said regulating dust in rural areas will hurt farmers' harvest, cultivation and livelihood.

Picking a Fight with Patriots ... Alan Caruba

Picking a Fight with Patriots
By Alan Caruba

*********************

The British, when they still ruled the American colonies, learned to their displeasure what a bad idea it is to pick a fight with patriots. By the time the Revolution began the colonies had been running their own affairs for a long time and, while many saw benefits in being allied with one of the great powers of their times and their world, they soon tired of “taxation without representation.”

The colonists had no say in Parliament and generally regarded it, not the king, as the source of their problems. The British, however, had spent themselves into huge debt by pursuing various wars. Parliament saw the colonies as a source of revenue with which to dig themselves out of that debt. One way was to monopolize what the colonies could import and another way was to tax those imports.

The problem for the British was the long established practice of Americans to ignore any legislation or taxes they did not like. Decades before the Revolution ignited, a British official named Edward Randolph wrote “There is no notice taken of the act of navigation, plantation, or any other laws made in England for the regulation of trade. All nations having free liberty to come into their ports and vend their commodities without any restraint…” Apparently, Randolph noted, Americans regarded themselves as “a free state and do act in all matters accordingly.”

We tend to see men like Sam Adams, John Hancock, and Paul Revere through the gauzy haze of a distant time, but we should remind ourselves that they were real men trying to cope with an increasingly difficult situation. Their grievances were real and they had grown up in a place where liberty, the freedom to worship as they wanted, to publish what they wanted, and engage in commerce as they wanted was not only well established, but valued above all else. They had a good understanding of the British constitution and the rights it granted. It was Britain, far across the Atlantic, that controlled their fortunes and, through a series of abuses, Britain lost their allegiance.

The importance of tea cannot be underestimated. By 1769, Americans were importing 900,000 pounds of English tea, but by 1773 that was no longer the case, in large part due to the Tea Act of 1773. It was a tax specific to the colonies. Americans began to boycott tea. Coffee would come to be seen as a more patriotic brew to drink. Adams, Hancock, Revere, and others had formed the Sons of Liberty, a group that on December 16, 1773 boarded three ships from England, the Dartmouth, the Eleanor, and the Beaver, and dumped 342 crates of tea into Boston Harbor.

The event would become known as the Boston Tea Party and from that event today’s Tea Party members take their name. The source of oppressive taxes, unimaginable waste, and unpopular legislation is now the federal government in Washington, D.C. Such events and groups do not occur in a vacuum. They are preceded by earlier abuses and in the case of the colonies there was a Stamp Act that was so strongly resisted Parliament repealed it. In Massachusetts, the royal governor and other officials appointed by the king were so unpopular that they were frequently under attack. Effigies were hung from an elm in North Boston that became known as the Liberty Tree.

There can be few more foolish acts by any government in power than to ignore Americans, to force upon them legislation the majority opposes, to bring shame to the nation in various ways. Patient to a fault, Americans have a long track record of opposing oppression that runs contrary to the U.S. Constitution.

By coincidence, I have been reading Joel J. Miller’s excellent biography, “The Revolutionary Paul Revere.” Made famous by a poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, “Paul Revere’s Ride”, Revere had made a long ride the night of the Tea Party to inform the New York Committee of Correspondence about the event. Another rode to Philadelphia for the same purpose. The ride immortalized by Longfellow was “On the eighteenth of April, in Seventy-five.”

Paul Revere, silversmith and patriot, lived to the age of 83, dying in May 1818; long enough a life to encompass the tempestuous birth of America in its earliest years. He would live through the Revolution, the original Articles of Confederation, and in 1787, the Constitution under which Americans live today, still enjoying the blessings of liberty.

In Boston, the church bells tolled his passing. One newspaper said, “Seldom has the tomb closed upon a life so honorable and useful.”

The spirit of Paul Revere and the Sons of Liberty still lives. America is home again to Tea Parties.

National I. D. Card = Police State

National I. D. Card = Police State!
A Commentary by J. D. Longstreet
**********************
The National I. D. Card will guarantee the federal government’s complete control over every man, woman and child in the US, period!

If you want the government to have total control over your life, then do nothing and very soon we will all be carrying that blasted National I. D. Card.

A National I. D. Card will grant the federal government the power to reach into the everyday lives of people living in this country on an unprecedented level.

If you are one of the few, (rare) Americans, these days, who actually believes in freedom -- actually believes you have a God-given right to privacy, actually believes the you are entitled to the freedoms and liberties outlined in the original Constitution of the United States -- then you had better rise up and fight for them because we are on the extreme edge of losing them and becoming slaves to the all powerful Central Government the “Progressives” such has Republican Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Democratic Senator Charles Shumer of New York apparently want for their fellow Americans.

At “crimefilenews.com” we read the following:

“Washington, DC—There may be benefits to this idea. What we really get is a greater Police State. This is about total control over every man woman and child. The power connected to those with access to the database is absolute. ... .” Read the entire story HERE.

I recently saw a reminder, on the internet, concerning the 2,000-year-old prophecy, in The Bible, that tells of a time when every living person must have a number, a mark, if you will, in order to buy and sell. The writer went on to say that up to the current time, this prophecy could not be accomplished. But now, with the advent of computers, it can be fulfilled and -- it appears -- our own government will be in the vanguard of the nations ordering its citizens to have such a mark, such a number. Could it be “The National I. D. Card?”

As a person who values his privacy I must ask: who will have access to my personal information?

A National I. D. Card could hold huge troves of information. It could include information such as: where you live, where you have lived in the past, information on your family, information on your religion and information on your ObamaCare "Public Option” Government-run Insurance policy, plus more information on your education, and even the registration of your guns!

Think about it. A National I. D. Card will, most likely, contain your fingerprints, a scan of your iris, or even your DNA profile on it.

Of a necessity there must be a National Database containing continually updated personal information. We already know that once that database is created by the government, it will grow larger and larger and more encompassing.

How are we going to know who would seek access to our information and how can we be sure that permission won’t be granted?

A few months back I wrote the following:

“I have to ask: what is wrong with Americans? Are we sheep to be herded by a National Shepherd? Where is the individualism that won this country from the British and then stretched it across the entire continent to the shores of the Pacific? Even the oceans could not hold back our burning desire for FREEDOM! Yet, today, we are begging the federal government to take our freedoms away! This is scandalous! This borders on cowardice of the highest magnitude!

Are we so quick to give back the liberties bought with the precious blood of our forefathers, our ancestors, and in many cases our immediate relatives? In cemeteries all over the globe lie the bodies of American men and women who put their lives on the line and shed their blood up to the "last full measure" to ensure you and I the freedoms we are now begging the Federal Government to take away!

Our national motto is: "In God We Trust." Apparently it’s a lie! If we truly placed our trust in God we would not be so hasty to misplace it in a government, which is already too big and intrusive.”

We are told the National I. D. Card will help in the fight against illegal immigration. How exactly? Illegal aliens will continue to slip across an unsecured border and they will continue to work for cash under the table -- as has been noted by others.

No, a National I. D. Card is just another way for the federal government to gain control over the masses. That’s you and me.

I don’t know. Maybe it’s just me. I am proud of my ancestors some of whom were bootleggers and smugglers. They left me more than fond memories. They left me with a strong distrust of government. I think that distrust is healthy. They left me something else as well. They made me understand that the government is not responsible for me. They taught me that a man is always responsible for himself. They taught me the more I depended on government the more dependence government would require until I had nothing left to give -- and then I would find that I was a slave to that government.

The National I. D. Card must be stopped. Contact your congressperson and your senators and let them know how you feel about the government having complete control over you. Remind them that the Mid-Term Election is coming up in November and you intend to vote.

In this Constitutional Republic we call America; it is up to us, the citizens, to keep our government on a short rein. Indeed, it is our duty, as citizens, to keep the tentacles of government out of our every day existence. They have no business there. We must be wary of "Knee-Jerk" responses to danger, real or imagined, such as I believe the National I.D. Card to be. If the government wants to "Card" somebody, why not make every one not a citizen of this country carry one (an I.D. card) while inside our borders?

As I look about me today, at modern day America, I have to conclude we have failed at the single most important task we have as adult Americans. That task is to preserve freedom in this country… to guarantee a future for our children in a free nation.

A National ID card is much the same as a tattooed number on your forearm. It is proof of ownership… by someone other than you.

If natural progression holds true, next will come the National RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) chip implanted at birth. It will broadcast a radio signal all the days of your life telling the government who you are, and where you are, at all times. National ID, of any kind, takes away one of your basic rights, the right to privacy.

It is time to get a grip, America! Our National Anthem says: “…The Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.” Well, don’t you think it is about time we began to act like it? A National ID card would say to the world just the opposite.
