“Choose ye, this day, whom ye will serve”!

“Choose ye, this day, whom ye will serve”!
**************************
I’ve been thinking.

I know, I know! It’s always a painful process for me and one, which stretches my mental abilities to the breaking point and sometimes, as regular readers of this site know … beyond.

With that said… who is going to protect the US if the Democrats win today??? We can’t count on the Dems. We know already they are incapable of protecting this country… and, anyway, they don’t want to.

You say that’s a little strong??? Well, which party was it, which was against the missile defense shield the President has made a priority? Huh? It was the Dems. Which party thinks the UN should handle all our military conflicts? Even though the UN has proven time and again, it could not fight its way out of a wet paper bag and will only deploy troops to areas that are safe? (Take a look at the “UNIFIL troops” in Lebanon, right now, if you have any doubts.)

That brings us to Iran. What will the Dems do about Iran? Answer: Nothing! They can’t. They are incapable of staring a sawed-off Islamofacist bully in the face and telling him to put up or shut up! They can’t do it! Why? Because they are frightened to death of him! Furthermore, he knows it… and intends to exploit their fear. We’re just weeks, or months, away from an entirely new, and different, Middle East War, completely separate from the conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq. This war will, in fact, be in addition to the two on-going conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq. How will the Dems handle the added pressure of fighting on three fronts? They’ll run. They have already told us as much.

Then, there is the threat from North Korea. Guess what the Dems are proposing to do with that tin pot dictator? They plan to institute “one on one” talks with that pervert, thereby raising him to the level of the US in the eyes of the world! What the hell do they think he has wanted all along? And… they’re going to give it to him! How utterly imbecilic!

So what will the Dems do about Iraq? I expect very shortly, after the first of the New Year, the Dems will introduce legislation, in the House, to reduce, and finally, cut off funds for the war in Iraq. This will force the President to pull resources from other theatres of war to funnel into Iraq. It will ultimately mean more US troops will be killed and wounded and it will lead, eventually, to a withdrawal from Iraq, by US forces, and will hand the Islamofacists a victory they could not otherwise have realized.

If the Dems do, in fact, win the House of Representatives in the election today, at the first domestic attack by Islamofacists, the President could find it necessary, under the auspices of the John Warner Defense Authorization Act (H.R. 5122), to immediately place the nation under Martial Law by declaring a National State of Emergency as he is legally empowered to do. That would allow the President to place US troops anywhere, in America, he chooses and, it would place the National Guards of all 50 states under HIS control rather than the control of the Governors of each state. Such an action, on the President’s part, would allow him to prepare the nation for the onslaught of terrorist attacks sure to follow a withdrawal from Iraq. It would also allow him to hold the country relatively safe until the American electorate has a chance to clean the House in 2008.

Declaring a National State of Emergency would allow the President to get around two laws which would hamstring a President in time of an emergency. In Ex parte Milligan 71 US 2 1866 , the Supreme Court of the United States held that martial law could not be instituted within the United States when its civilian courts are in operation. In 1878, Congress passed the Posse Comitatus Act, which forbids military involvement in domestic law enforcement without congressional approval. The “John Warner Defense Authorization Act” (H.R. 5122), which the President signed into law on October 17th, 2006, allows the President to by-pass those aggravations and provide the country the protection it will surely need when the Dems begin their naive meddling in world politics and “Conflict Resolution”. The President will be well within his constitutional powers to provide security for the nation. And, let’s face it… SOMEONE will have to do it, because the Dems have proven time, and time, again… they are incapable.

Now, I know all this seems far-fetched and extreme, but we live in far-fetched and extreme times... and nothing is off the table. I would not like the above scenario anymore than you, but it may come to that.

So, how will we project power around the world? We won’t. We will not be able to do that because there will be no money.

Large towns and cities may find it necessary to create their own Militia units to provide security within their city limits. This would, of course, take us back to the days prior to the founding of the United States.

Gun sales and ammunition sales will explode … if the Dems win. Militia Units will reappear. Nobody feels safe, with the Dems in charge, and Americans believe they have a God–given right to self defense and will exercise that right by arming themselves and doing everything in their power to insure the safety of their families.

This election is about whether the US will continue to exist as a proud, free, nation, or fall into Islamic slavery. When historians look back on this day, they will say it was the day, the point in history, which changed America. Will America remain free, or will America retreat and surrender to the forces of Islamic evil? The choice is yours, America.

When the great warrior leader of the ancient Israelites, Joshua, had control handed to him, upon Moses’ death, the tribes were bickering among themselves as they approached the very doorstep of the Promised Land. Finally, Joshua had had enough! He called them together and challenged them: “Choose you, this day, whom you will serve! As for me, and my house, we will serve the Lord!”

And, so it is, that today, Americans are called to choose whom they will serve. We will choose to commission certain, from among us, to have power over us. This is an awesome thing. It is voluntary submission. But, it is how a representative republic operates. We must be certain that those we elect are not shallow, empty suits, interested in power for power’s sake. That will defeat the purpose of our republic. It will also place this republic in immense danger.

Our enemies gather today… and watch. They pray for Americans to turn the power of this government over to those who will appease them. Their intention is to conquer the US and they will be happy if the electorate of the US makes it much easier for them to accomplish that mission by electing weak spined, naïve, people to fill the seats of power in our government.

If we choose today to turn this government over to those who cannot, for whatever reason, understand this nation is at war for it’s life, then there will be a heavy price to pay. Just as 9-11, and the two wars which followed, in my opinion, was the price we paid for electing the Clinton Administration, we can expect an even heavier price for returning that element to power in the government of the US.

As I cast my ballot today, I’ll be thinking of my family, of my wife, of my children and my grandchildren. I will be reminded that I have a responsibility to ensure, as far as it is within my power, that they have a guaranteed future as a free people. I cannot do that by voting for the Democrat Party. To vote for the freedom and security of my family I have no choice but to vote for the Republican candidates.

I believe it was the Apostle Paul who once said: “It is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of God!” He was, of course, correct. I am convinced this nation was created, by God, as a beacon for the people of this world. As such we are answerable to God for our actions as a nation. We are also told, by the scriptures, that God punishes those he loves. When we act as a God fearing nation, this nation does well. When we fail, we pay the price. When we make the right decisions we proper. When we make the wrong decisions we suffer.

We stand at the very precipice of a decision today. Two choices are presented for us from which to choose. As agents of free will we must make the decision. Paraphrasing the words of the ancient Israelite warrior/prophet Joshua, “America, choose you, this day, whom you will serve”!
