The discussion (and the disagreement) has been turned on its head as the Democratic Party whips up women's fervor with their latest con game, which is, in reality, an assault on female voters called "The War on Women." 

That the democrats would play a con like this is not surprising. What IS shocking, however, is just how easily much of the female electorate is falling for it.  Not only are they (women voters) being used -- a goodly number are actually assisting the democrats in their own assault. 

It is simultaneously stunning and incredible.  It is, in fact, the work of past masters at political propaganda in the Democratic Party and their legions of sycophants in the Mainstream Media who seek to curry favor with the Obama Administration by their obsequious flattery and willful blindness to the blatant socialist agenda unfolding at the very heart of America's government.       

It is, of course, complete bovine scatology contrived by the democrats for one reason only.  It is psychological warfare at its finest.  It is intended to get women so worked up, and so angry at men (especially republican men) that they will embrace Obama, as they did in 2008, and hand the republicans defeat this coming November.  And it is working.  It remains to be seen how WELL it will work in the end, but for now it IS working.

Laura Ingraham recently said: "Obama's boosters are misrepresenting what's going on and they're deceiving the American people just so he can retain power. This is cynical and dishonest."  You can read the entire article here: SOURCE).

  

In the very same article, Ms. Ingraham goes on to say:  "Of course the Democrats want to change the subject to a wholly contrived “War on Women” narrative. If there is a war on women, it's on women's pocketbooks and it's being waged by President Obama."

Speaking as a southern gentlemen, this whole contrivance is unseemly and, frankly, disgusting.  But -- I have come to expect just this sort of behavior from the democrats.

At the risk of being called a woman hater by leftists, I have to tell you ladies that you ARE being used and it is not pleasant to look upon.  In fact, it is revolting.

Recall, if you will, that the original disagreement was between the Catholic Church and some of the more conservative protestant denominations in America with Obama's forcing the churches to go against their religious beliefs and make birth control available to their employees.  It was a "church and state" issue.  It was a question of whether the 1st Amendment was being violated by the Obama Administration.  It had NOTHING to do about "hating women" or denying women their rights.  It was a religious freedom argument and the democrats were losing the argument.  So, they did what they do best, they turned the disagreement upside down and made it about something else, entirely.  Wallah!  It became women's health issues -- with a bumper sticker slogan:  "War on Women."     

Yes, there is definitely some bitterness toward women as a result of all the feminist slander of men in the past 40 years or so.  It would be less than truthful to say otherwise.  But there was a price exacted (as there always is) and I believe a part of that price is the vulgar, gross, and crass society we have today.  Respect for women has dropped precipitously since the feminist movement blasted to center stage with their demands.

Nothing is free.  Somebody ALWAYS pays.  In this case American society paid a price that indelibly stained American respect for women -- quite possibly -- forever.

But, I digress.   

As I watch and listen to the shrill voices from the political left of America screaming about the war on women, it embarrasses me to see how easily American women have fallen victim to a bunch of smooth talking snake oil salesmen of the left.   

This whole leftist movement is not about women and it sure as heck is not about whether the government pays for women's birth control.  It IS about reelecting Obama for four more years as President of the US.  To that end --American women ARE BEING USED.

It is troubling to watch as the women of America are being sold this bald-faced lie.  The democrats obviously think American women are dumb enough to buy their pack of lies.  That should tell you everything you need to know concerning the manner in which the Democratic Party views women.

Rest assured, as the months wear on in this campaign, we can expect to look back on this as one of the "tamer" scams the Democratic Party will run on the American electorate.

You know, maybe it is a generational thing. I never thought I'd live to see women, or men for that matter, openly discussing sex, condoms, abortion, erectile dysfunction, etc, in the broadcast media of this country.  Call me a Puritan, if you will, but I would not allow the advertisement of ladies sanitary products or condoms on the airwaves of the stations for which I was responsible.  I'm not trying to shine my halo here.  It was, and remains, distasteful to me. 

Feeling shame comes naturally to the human being.  But, as we evolved (or in this case – devolved) we have managed to smother that part of our conscience  – guilt -- that reminds us that we KNOW what we are doing, or saying, is wrong.  It is then evidenced by shame at the self-knowledge that we have committed and act, which is unacceptable in polite and lawful society.  I can’t put my finger on exactly WHEN that happened, but it was at that point that we began our journey toward becoming a nation of psychopaths. 

I am convinced that giving up our privacy is directly connected to giving up our ability to feel shame.

Oh, well.  Time marches on. We cannot unring that bell. .  Somehow, descent folk will have to manage the gorge in their throats every time they hear the democrats braying about the war on women.  Trust me.  It could get a whole lot worse ... and probably will.

Enough, Already, With The Debates

I am not a debater… never have been.  Although I have been speaking publicly since the age of nine, I hate debates.

You may have noticed that I DO tend to favor commentaries.  In a commentary I am allowed to express my views completely, without interruption, and then sit back and wait for the fur to fly. 

I have no interest in arguing my positions or opinions.  Once stated -- that’s it!   I don’t argue.  Its not worth the time and effort necessary to sway someone else’s opinion my way.  I simply don’t care if you disagree with me.   Once my personal deliberations are complete and I make my opinions known, I am finished.  (I know the shrinks would have a field day with this!) 

All this leads me to the so-called debates between the GOP candidates seeking the Republican Party nomination for President of the United States.  Only a child would confuse the debates with a press conference … for that is all they are … press conferences.  They are “gotcha” sessions.  Little is learned from them though they make for grand spectacle.

We Americans have a strange way of choosing whom we send to Washington to represent us on The Hill and in the Oval Office.  It is more than “passing strange.”

One quality we Americans demand from a candidate that I see nowhere else in the free world is… “purity.”  We conservatives absolutely demand purity in our conservative belief.   We never really get it – but we continue to demand it anyway. 

Election cycle after election cycle we swear we will never “settle” – never choose the lesser of two evils – then we go right ahead and do it anyway.

The debates are really just theatre.  Most conservatives already know whom they want as the nominee long before the first debate.  But we watch and we listen and we wince when the candidates stumble and fumble and make ridiculous mistakes while under the tremendous pressure of millions of viewers – not to mention well-versed questioners (with notes from weeks of research) making every effort possible to trip them up or, in a myriad of ways, make them look foolish. 

Then there is this:  Why are there so many candidates on the stage, anyway?  It is ridiculous.  We all know there are maybe two or three candidates who have even a prayer of a chance at the nomination.  Why not have only those two or three candidates and allow for a more relaxed atmosphere and more time for the candidates to formulate answers in their minds before responding to a question.  It would certainly give the viewers and listeners a bit more insight into the way a candidate thinks.

As a former broadcaster, I have to tell you, in my view; the debates are more for the broadcasters and press than for the electorate.  Its sort of like the Oscars -- Hollywood stars salivating and honoring themselves while preening before the cameras assuring us all of their deep concern for their fellowman.  Malarkey! Hogwash! 

Never, ever, believe the Mainstream Media doesn’t do the very same thing.  They are “stars” in their own right.  If you don’t believe it – ask them! 

I’ve done pressers and news conferences.  I have been the guy with the pad and pencil furiously taking notes as the center of attention babbles on.  I’ve been the guy trying desperately to shove his microphone into the face of some politician, or other, in hopes of catching some rare pearls of wisdom dripping from those esteemed lips. I have been there.   I know a little about how news folks work.  I also know what a bit of public adulation can do to the egos of a few very insecure news personalities. 

The whole debate thing really ought to be dumped.  Rather, a roundtable discussion between the candidates and a few members of the electorate would be far more informative to the public. 

The debates, as they are staged today, are more about entertainment and the star quality of the press corp than they are about genuinely informing the American electorate.

It is a shame, really.  Much COULD be learned -- important stuff, too.  But so long as we stick with the current format of the “debates” the electorate will have to glean their information elsewhere.

And then – there is this:  The GOP debates are the best weapon Obama and the Democratic Party have … at the moment.  There are no Democratic Party debates because Obama has no democratic challenger.  So all the screw-ups, all the mistakes, all the brain freezes, all the “space-outs” are happening to the republican candidates.  It makes them look weak, confused, even a little, well, dumb.  The Mainstream Media, which is in the tank for Obama and the Democratic Party, will play all the screw-ups and glitches of the Republicans to the hilt in order to make their extraordinarily weak President look better. Obama is SOOO bad, it doesn’t take much to make him look better.

In light of all this -- even more debates are in the offing. Wouldn’t it make more sense to STOP DEBATING?  But, hey, this is politics.  Who said it is supposed to make sense?

For a President seeking a second term, Obama continues to act as though he really intends to be a one-term President. He is the most “tone-deaf” of any president in recent memory when it comes to hearing what the people of America are shouting at the top of their lungs.

We are all familiar with the expression about Social Security being the “third-rail of politics.” One touch and you are dead. There is truth to that. But – there is another “untouchable” for a President of the US – and Obama just grabbed it with both hands. The right of the people to own and bear arms. There is nothing more American than owning and carrying a firearm… nothing.

The USA was carved out of a wilderness with guns. Civilization was imposed upon this continent with guns. The country was rescued from a British despot with guns. The seas were made safe for American commerce with guns. A so-called “Civil-War” was fought by Americans against Americans with guns. The western portion of the US was won, settled, and civilized with guns. Europe was Made Safe for Democracy by Americans and their guns. Again, Europe and much of the Pacific was freed and made safe by Americans with their guns. For forty years, Americans fought, with their guns, brushfire wars, and out and out full-blown wars, in diverse places around the globe, and stood their ground with firearms in hand and foiled the communist agenda to take-over the world by conquest of war.

Today, American is the global cop patrolling the sea-lanes of the planet guaranteeing the safe usage of the seas by all countries involved in peaceful commerce. We do it with force of arms… in other words … with American firearms/GUNS.

Since the British military, under the command of King George, America has not been invaded by a foreign power. There is a very good reason for that. Americans are armed to the teeth.

Americans are a free people. Since we won or freedom from Great Britain, we have never had a dictator, and we continue to enjoy a constitutional representative republic. There is a very good reason for that, as well. Americans are armed to the teeth.

It is the Second Amendment of the US Constitution that guarantees the rights granted by the First Amendment.

Above, I noted that America has never had a dictator. We have never had a king, either. But, I will add that America is as close as she has ever been to having a self-proclaimed king, “Obama the First.”

The problem with narcissists is they give absolutely no credence to the wants and desires and even the opinions of anyone other than themselves. That describes Mr. Obama to a “T.” He doesn’t hear the American citizen telling him, loud and clear: “Hands off our guns!”

Over the weekend, Obama wrote an op-ed piece for the Arizona Daily Star. In the article he said: “I know that every time we try to talk about guns, it can reinforce stark divides. People shout at one another, which makes it impossible to listen. We mire ourselves in stalemate, which makes it impossible to get to where we need to go as a country.” (SOURCE)
That paragraph, right there, tells you all you need to know about Obama. Take note of: “ … which makes it impossible to get to where we need to go as a country.”

Question: WHO, exactly, other than Obama, decides WHERE the country needs to go?

Hey, I am only a poor, old, country boy, down here in the swamps of the southeast, but I was sorta under the impression that WE THE PEOPLE DECIDE WHERE AMERICA NEEDS TO GO. Obama, obviously, believes HE decides, issues the command, and we are expected to follow. That’s what kings do. Not Presidents of the United States.

Obama continues: “That's why our focus right now should be on sound and effective steps that will actually keep those irresponsible, law-breaking few from getting their hands on a gun in the first place.” (SOURCE)

Of course, THAT’S IMPOSSIBLE to accomplish in America. Guns can be self-manufactured in a home workshop. Back in my wild and wooly days as a teenager, I did it. It is that simple.

The leftist gun-grabbers are SO naive it is extremely difficult to understand how they cannot know this. The nonsense they spew about keeping guns out of the hands of criminals and the mentally unbalanced is so far out of touch with the facts on the ground that it is just impossible to believe that it is anything other than a smokescreen to hide their intention of stripping every American of his or her gun.

We knew Obama would eventually get to gun control. He has arrived.

So, what does it mean? It means he will lose this battle and he will take down a slew of democrats in the next election should they be stupid enough to support his efforts at infringement of the Second Amendment.

If this is a battle the democrats REALLY want to fight, then bring it on. The result is a foregone conclusion. Supporters of Obama’s efforts at gun control will lose the battle and, most likely, their seats in the US Congress. THAT would be a GOOD thing.

I am beginning to believe that we OUGHT to shut the government down for as long as it takes to determine who, exactly, are the government workers essential to running the government. Then, fire all non-essential workers. And don’t re-open until we cut the heck out of the expense of running the government, itself, AND get a handle on congressional and executive branch spending.

Ok. Let’s cut to some of the basics here. First do not buy into the notion that the government actually shuts down when there is a government shutdown. OH, no! That is exactly what the political left wants you to believe. (By the way. For those of you new to my scribblings – understand that when I say “the political left” – I include the mainstream media in that nomenclatura.)

Surely you do not think government bureaucrats and federal employees do not have their backsides covered in the event of the dreaded “government shut-down?” Oh, to be sure, they DO. Yes, assuredly, they DO!

All the scare tactics used by the political left to scare the living daylights out of Americans who, as a rule, have not an inkling as to how their government actually works, are very effective when disseminated by a state controlled press – otherwise known as the Mainstream Media.

NO. Planes will not be grounded, the border will continued to be patrolled, hospitals will continue to treat patients, the military will continue to fight, federal prisoners in federal pens would still be guarded, The tax people (IRS) will keep right on aggravating the dickens out of Americans and, well, just about all the important stuff will continue as if nothing is going on.

What does happen is -- the non-essential government workers will get to stay home and be paid retroactively AFTER the government starts back up again. Most Americans would not notice a government shut down were it not for the press screaming it from every headline, microphone, and TV set in the nation.

Seems to me, shutting down the government would be a good thing. Heck, lets shut it down, and get rid of the non-essential government worker as we recommended above. That, alone, ought to save a whopping amount of money for the treasury.

Certainly, you know that a government shut down does not include sending Congress home. Oh, how I wish it did! The only time I feel safe, anymore, is when Congress is in recess.

See – this whole government shut down thing is a last ditch democrat dirty trick hatched up just in case they DID lose control of the government last November. They continued to push back approving a budget until it fell into the lap of a republican House of Representatives … just as it was planned. Now, the dems believe, they can make hay from the “don’t care” stigma smeared on the Republican Party by themselves and the mainstream media, which, as you know by now, THEY control.

But wait! Something is wrong. Something is not working as it was supposed to work.

Oh, drats! Turns out the American people actually DO want the government’s reckless spending cut back… even if it entails a shutdown of the government itself! Why, that tosses a mean spanner into the cogs, what?

Oh, joy! It turns out those DUMB Tea Partiers are not as dumb as the Mainstream Media and the democrats thought. Those people actually DO know how the government works. They DO know their constitution; and they DO know how to thwart the machinations of the liberal-socialists in the government. As a result, blow back from the electorate has splashed all over the democrats and they are beginning to question the wisdom of forcing a government shutdown.

Now the ball is in Obama’s court. He is the one person in the US government all eyes will be gazing upon if there is a shutdown.

In my opinion, all American voters should be standing in their chairs, yelling at the top of their lungs, demanding a shutdown of the US government until we can get spending under control.

A government shutdown is a GOOD thing, a useful thing, and an essential tool to help us save this country.

So bring it on. Let’s learn whose jobs are essential and whose are not -- and get rid of the non-essential workers as the first order of business.

Now that I have had my fun, allow me to say that I don’t believe either side, dems or repubs have what it takes to get our national budget in order. I am convinced that the US economy WILL crash as a result of the lack of courage of the men and women who are running it into the ground.

When the economy goes so will the government. Only God, Himself, knows what kind of government we will have when the smoke clears. But I WILL venture an educated guess: a communist government. (Notice: I didn’t say “a socialist government!”)

The last two generations of Americans have been prepared in the public schools for this eventuality. They KNOW that socialism/communism is a far better form of government that a representative constitutional republic. They know that because they have been taught that.

It certainly seems that only the American people are interested in saving America. It is obvious America’s government is not.

It gives me no small amount of pleasure to watch the Democratic Party inflict harm upon itself with those “demonstrations” in Wisconsin -- and those just beginning in other states, as well.

“Oh,” but you say, “Those are UNIONS demonstrating in Wisconsin!” To which, I would respond, “That’s what I said – DEMOCRATS!”

Come on, folks! The UNIONS are the democrats and the democrats ARE the UNIONS! This is a political fact I have known since I was a child.

I have told reader’s before that my uncle was a big wig in one of the most powerful unions of its day. I don’t know what position he held, but it was important enough that when he died, the United States Secretary of Labor attended his funeral.

I watched my uncle visually check his automobile for bombs, underneath the car and under the hood and dashboard and seat in the mornings before his drive to the airport. I grew up with those images forever burned into my memory.

Americans have very little sympathy for people WITH JOBS these days not reporting to work -- and taking that time to raise hell in the streets. Many of those people protesting have jobs with salaries from the public trough… meaning they are paid with taxpayer money. Do they not understand how that makes the taxpayer feel?

I must tell you, what is happening in Wisconsin is turning more and more Americans against labor unions and if nothing else good comes from all that sound and fury THAT, alone, in my opinion, would be a good thing for America.

It is also extremely “telling” when the democrats flee the state. It speaks to the veracity of all the claims the GOP and conservatives have made over the years -- that when the going gets tough, the democrats flee. Now, all of America has seen it.

We have often told you that democrats strike us as child-like. They seem to be ruled by emotion. Good solid reasoning seems to be just outside their grasp. This, too, is on display in Wisconsin.

We’d like to express our appreciation to the Democratic Party for making our job so much easier. See – we can claim all this stuff about them, but until Americans see it for themselves it means nothing to them. Now, however, the Democratic Party has been kind enough to put their emotional answer to a question that calls for deep reasoning right out there in public view where the American electorate can see the unvarnished truth. And for that, again I am truly grateful to the democrats.

We conservatives would also like to express our appreciation to the unions for burning all that cash money on the Wisconsin demonstrations. That is a great help to the conservative cause and will most certainly aid us in a achieving our goal of stopping Obama from securing a second term in the White House. The less money the unions have, the less money they can contribute to Obama’s campaign -- and that, too, is good – very good!

We have warned so many times, dear reader, about the Democratic Party’s lack of feeling for the “common man.” Oh, they would argue otherwise having seized the mantle of “the people’s party” for themselves. Only, it is not true. Hopefully, Americans viewing the so-called “demonstrations” in Wisconsin will discern for themselves that just exactly who the Democratic Party actually represents.

Look. We knew way back when, that at some point this was going to happen. We knew the labor unions would suck our state treasuries dry. They have done it.

Public employees should never have been allowed to unionize in America. Those who opposed it predicted then that this time would come. And here we are. Remember what I said above about emotion versus reasoning?

The situation in all our states calls for cold, hard, reasoning and some extremely difficult decisions. Nobody is going to be happy with what must be done for the states to survive. Most people, however, know this and they will act like grown-ups and not take to the streets like spoiled brats on a rampage.

When the choice is between busting a union, and busting a state, I’ll come down on the side of union-busting every time.

In the early 20th century, Argentina was one of the richest countries in the world.

While Great Britain's maritime power and its far-flung empire had propelled it to a dominant position among the world's industrialized nations, only the United States challenged Argentina
for the position of the world's second-most powerful economy.

It was blessed with abundant agriculture, vast swaths of rich farmland laced with navigable rivers and an accessible port system. Its level of industrialization was higher than many European countries: railroads, automobiles and telephones were commonplace.

In 1916, a new president was elected. Hipólito Irigoyen had formed a party called The Radicals
under the banner of "fundamental change" with an appeal to the middle class.

Among Irigoyen's changes: mandatory pension insurance, mandatory health insurance,
and support for low-income housing construction to stimulate the economy.

Put simply, the state assumed economic control of a vast swath of the country's operations
and began assessing new payroll taxes to fund its efforts.

With an increasing flow of funds into these entitlement programs, the government's payouts soon became overly generous. Before long its outlays surpassed the value of the taxpayers' contributions.

Put simply, it quickly became under-funded, much like the United States' Social Security and Medicare programs.

The death knell for the Argentine economy, however, came with the election of Juan Perón.

Perón had a fascist and corporatist upbringing; he and his charismatic wife aimed their populist rhetoric at the nation's rich.

This targeted group "swiftly expanded to cover most of the propertied middle classes,
who became an enemy to be defeated and humiliated."

Under Perón, the size of government bureaucracies exploded through massive programs
of social spending and by encouraging the growth of labor unions.

High taxes and economic mismanagement took their inevitable toll even after Perón had
been driven from office. But his populist rhetoric and "contempt for economic realities"
lived on. Argentina's federal government continued to spend far beyond its means.

Hyperinflation exploded in 1989, the final stage of a process characterized by "industrial protectionism, redistribution of income based on increased wages, and growing state intervention in the economy..."

The Argentinean government's practice of printing money to pay off its public debts had crushed the economy. Inflation hit 3000%, reminiscent of the Weimar Republic. Food riots were rampant; stores were looted; the country descended into chaos.

And by 1994, Argentina's public pensions -- the equivalent of Social Security -- had imploded.

The payroll tax had increased from 5% to 26%, but it wasn't enough. In addition, Argentina had implemented a value-added tax (VAT), new income taxes, a personal tax on wealth, and additional revenues based upon the sale of public enterprises. These crushed the private sector, further damaging the economy.

A government-controlled "privatization" effort to rescue seniors' pensions was attempted.
But, by 2001, those funds had also been raided by the government, the monies replaced by Argentina's defaulted government bonds.

By 2002, "...government fiscal irresponsibility... induced a national economic crisis as severe as America's Great Depression."

In 1902 Argentina was one of the world's richest countries. Little more than a hundred years later, it is poverty-stricken, struggling to meet its debt obligations amidst a drought.

We've seen this movie before.

The Democrats' populist plans can't possibly work, because government bankrupts everything it touches.

History teaches us that ObamaCare and unfunded entitlement programs will be utter, complete disasters.Today's Democrats are guilty of more than stupidity; they are enslaving future generations to poverty and misery. And they will be long gone when it all implodes. They will be as cold and dead as Juan Perón when the piper must ultimately be paid.

Rumor has it that the GOP is looking to cut spending in Washington, DC. In fact, House Appropriations Committee Chairman Hal Rogers, R-Ky., released a partial list of 70 spending cuts earlier this week. These particular cuts were included as part of the GOP's budget proposal for funding the government through the end of the fiscal year. (SOURCE)

It is troubling because the cuts to the EPA are entirely too small. The proposal calls for cutting EPA funding by only 1.6 billion dollars. That is not nearly enough to shut that agency down. In fact, that is chicken feed! Save some money and close their shop … for good.

Yes. I DID say shut the EPA down. In fact, I would be happy to see a bill introduced that would completely abolish the EPA and rid this country of its tyrannical tentacles. It has become a monster agency, a “star-chamber” sort of lawmaking body with a host of apparatchiks wielding their power like a battalion of schoolyard bullies. It is long past time for the EPA to be shut down and its headquarters padlocked.

The EPA is an agency gone wild. Like a rabid dog, it needs to be put down.

The same goes for the Department of Education. It is a shame.

Since the Department of Education was signed into law in October of 1979 by the legendary “dufus” President Jimmy Carter and began doing whatever the heck it does in May of 1980, education in the United States has shown no improvement. In fact, if anything at all, education has gotten worse.

Education should be left to the states. It should never have been placed in the hands of the federal government and the unions.

Americans have gone from being one of the best-educated countries in the world to one of the worse educated countries in the world under the Department of Education. That alone should qualify it for the dustbin of history.

Abolishing the Department of Education would save billions in wasted dollars. Get rid of it, pronto.

Then, there is the National Endowment for the Arts. Have you seen some of the “stuff” they underwrite with our taxpayer dollars? Forget it!

The proposed cut is only 2 million dollars. That is pathetic. We don’t need a National Endowment for the Arts. If a private organization wishes to fund artists, then fine. But spending taxpayer dollars on the pathos that passes for art these days is nigh onto criminal. The National Endowment for the Arts ought to be shuttered… immediately. Again, millions could be saved.

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting should not get a single dime of taxpayer money. If the political left wants to have their broadcasting voice continue its operations, then they should fund it from their own pockets and not from the US treasury.

Don’t get me started on Amtrak. Amtrak has been sucking up taxpayer dollars from the public trough for far to long. A 224 million dollar cut from Amtrak is peanuts! Cut ALL funding to Amtrak. Sell it or trash it … but be done with it.

Americans drive and ride in cars. We take a train only when we have to, or are forced to do so. Otherwise, we stay the heck off them.

We are NOT a homogeneous people, like our Asian friends (and enemies). Americans are uncomfortable on trains, no matter how fast they travel. The President ought to know this and stop proposing “investment” in those super fast, high speed, trains. It will only be more taxpayer money wasted because Americans are STILL NOT GOING TO RIDE THE DARNED THINGS!

Get rid of the Department of Homeland Security. Even its name sounds like some 1930’s Nazi organization. The American people hate it.

There is no reason why the job the Department of Homeland Security is supposed to do could not be handled by the FBI and the CIA. Get rid of it. Billions could be saved.

As I looked over some of the proposed cuts, it struck me that the GOP is using a scalpel to make these cuts when they ought to be using a meat cleaver!

Look, we sent the new House of Representatives to DC to be a bludgeon! This pussyfooting around with insignificant cuts just isn’t going to get it done.

If this sort of limp-wristed action by the GOP continues, they should prepare for a very short stay in DC. In fact, they’d be ill advised to sign any sort of long-term lease on an apartment. The paint will barely be dry before they are packing for the trip back home.

America is flooded with red ink and instead of using a sump pump the GOP is using a drinking straw.

Desperate times require desperate measures. America’s economy is desperate. NOW is the time to act -- and act boldly.

More lies from the Obama Regime are surfacing. Just as the putrid corpse of a drowning victim will rise after a short period, the stench of the sub-surface lies of ObamaCare are coming to the surface -- one at a time.

Remember US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s statement that the Congress would have to pass the ObamaCare law for the citizens of the US to learn what is in it? Of course, you do! That’s why she will be the “FORMER” Speaker of the House is a few days!

Well, they passed it – and now we are learning, just as Pelosi said, what is in it. The majority of Americans STILL hate it! The more we learn about it, the more we learn what is in it, the more we hate it.

Obama is a fast learner. He has learned, since November 2nd, that he must hide his machinations from the new republican led House of Representatives. He is going to rely on his Czars and his regulatory agencies to pass into law the control over US citizens necessary to “fundamentally transform” (Obama’s words) America into the socialist utopia he dreams about. Conservative commentators and pundits warned Obama would do this… why… because he is an ideologue. He eats, sleeps, and breathes socialist ideology! He can’t help himself. He absolutely MUST bring down America’s constitutional republic.

Remember the “Death Panels” we were warned about by Sarah Palin and other conservatives. It was the so-called end-of-life plan written into the original ObamaCare Plan. When the public learned about it, all heck broke loose and the democrats were forced to drop it from the ObamaCare plan.

But never fear. Obama is doing an end run around the national legislature, the Congress, and forcing it on the American people, anyway! ObamaCare supporters refer to it as a “quiet victory.”

The Obama Regime, and his cohorts in the Democratic Party, were hoping to keep this quiet for they knew that once the public learned of it, they would immediately pressure their new Republican led House of Representatives to either force Medicare to abandon the regulation or cut off funding to effectively starve the regulation to death.

NOW – do you see why so many of us were concerned that Obama would use his regulatory agencies to force the full brunt of the ORIGINAL ObamaCare plan on America??? I am more convinced than ever that THAT is THE PLAN!

Czars, executive orders, and regulations have already begun pouring from the faucet of “Big Brother SOCIALIST” government. Watch for the stream to become a flood in very short order.
This, dear reader, is how you lose your freedom, your liberty, and your country.

But how could this possibly happen in AMERICA – to AMERICANS? The answer is simple, really: Ignorance and Apathy.

The public education system in America, the “government schools,” are turning out some of the least educated graduates on earth. The democrats run the schools. Ok, labor unions, then. But what’s the difference? They are symbiotic. They feed off each other.

Americans have no clue, anymore, about whom they are, where they come from, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, freedom, liberty, what it costs to obtain freedom and, even more important, what it costs to remain free. That is ignorance of the “deadly” kind.

The second deadly killer of freedom and liberty is not caring enough. Freedom and liberty must be cared about and CARED FOR.

Americans MUST get involved in the life of their nation. Why? The election of 2006 and 2008 ought to tell you everything you need to know. We placed our country into the hands of liberal-socialists, called democrats, and they, in turn, have taken America so far down the road of ultimate destruction that our actual survival as a free people is in serious question. The results of both those elections hinged on ignorance and apathy.

The ignorance and apathy of Americans also gave us ObamaCare – and -- Obama’s “Death Panels”, government officials deciding who lives and who dies, who receives approved treatment as they approach the end of their lives – and who doesn’t.

And this is just the beginning. It WILL get worse. Trust me.

America has surely entered a time of great tribulation. The handwriting is glaring at us from the wall. America cannot continue to survive on the path she chose in the 1960’s and continues on today.

The path to survival is narrow. It is hard, difficult, and certainly not pleasant. The path we are on, the path to destruction, is broad. It is wide and easy – not difficult at all. But at the end lies destruction.

America’s new Congress is going to need all the help it can get from the citizens of this country – even when Congress doesn’t want it.
I intend to aggravate the living daylights out of my congressman, who happens to be a conservative democrat. (I know that is difficult to believe.) The same goes for my Senators -- one democrat and one republican. Why… because it is my job as a citizen… and as a father and grandfather.

America can be saved. She is worthy of being saved. But we cannot save her by sitting back and waiting on the next fellow to do it.

It is time to fight back -- to fight for our freedom. Freedom, once lost, is almost never recovered. Doing nothing will certainly allow evil to triumph!

Bipartisanship has no place in the next Congress. Getting along with Democrats should not even be a consideration. We conservatives did not send representatives to the US House of Representatives and the US Senate to “get along” with Democrats OR the Obama Administration. We sent them there to bring the current goings on to a “screeching halt” and to turn the country around and take it back to its conservative roots as a constitutional republic and not the socialist “People’s Republic” the liberal-socialists of the Democratic Party have striven so hard to make it into.

Our country is bearly recognizable today as a constitutional republic. The democratic controlled congress made clear they did not give a rip what the people wanted and they set about to “fundamentally change” America into a socialist dung heap. The many government regulatory agencies under the command of the Obama Regime have taken on so much power they resemble more the Nazi Gestapo than they do agencies of the US government… a government supposedly controlled by the people of the country. They, too, must be stopped, even if that means closing them down -- forever. The Environmental Protection Agency, the Federal Communications Commission, the Department of Homeland Security, the Education Department, the Energy Department, the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission, the Office of Elementary and Secondary Education, all top the list of government agencies that must be stopped.

Speaking of US government regulatory agencies – have you ever taken the time to discover just how many government agencies there are? Well, now you can. Go (HERE) for a complete list of all US government agencies. It is an “A” to “Z” list – and you will be astounded! These represent only those agencies made public. We have no idea, who, what, or how many others exist without the knowledge of the citizens of the country.

Prepare for the liberal-socialist democrats to begin, very shortly, to complain that the US government is “broken.” See, it is NOT broken as long as they get their way. Only when the American people get THEIR way is the US government broken to the Democrats!

If the politicians we sent to Washington, as a result of the November elections, do as we want and have instructed them to do, there will be a knock-down-drag-out brawl within the US House of Representatives and the US Senate over the next two years.

We don’t want compromise. We don’t want bipartisanship. We did not send them to Washington for either. We sent them to Washington to rescue our country -- before it is lost forever.

For instance: We want ObamaCare repealed. We want it COMPLETELY repealed! That, alone, will be a monstrous job. The so-called “Dream Act,” which is only another rendition of Amnesty for illegal aliens must be stopped as well.

There will be weeping, and wailing and gnashing of teeth among the democrats at any effort to repeal ObamaCare, especially. Its repeal will mean the government losses control of one-sixth of the US economy. You’d better believe they will fight tooth and nail for control of the lives of every American citizen. They will weep on the floor of their respective chambers. They will tell America that ObamaCare is for the children, for the oppressed minorities, for anything and everything they can think of that might tug at America’s heartstrings. They have won so many battles before by playing on the voter’s emotions that they will not care how ridiculous they look with the crocodile tears streaming down their façade covered faces. It will be a ridiculous comedy played out before the eyes of the world.

We conservatives must be prepared for the onslaught of vile propaganda unleashed on their efforts to rescue America. The Mainstream Media, which is totally immersed in the agenda of the liberal-socialist democrats, will ride to the rescue of Obama and his socialist agenda. It has already begun. They currently sing his praises as the “come-back-kid” after his mediocre successes in the lame duck session of Congress.

Over the next two years, conservatives will need to take careful notice of the remaining “RINO’s” in Congress and prepare a plan of attack to remove them from office in the elections of November 2012.

And we must discover a conservative republican candidate for president who actually has a chance to win. Frankly, I see no possible winner among the host of names being floated about for consideration as possible candidates for the republican nomination today. We may need to go outside the usual herd to find a new face, a new name, with hard rock conservative values to carry our banner into the Oval Office.

The next two years will be two of the most difficult years in the conservative movement in the United States. We must be unrelenting as we push forward the conservative agenda.

Someone once said: “A nation of sheep, breeds a government of wolves.” It is time for conservative Americans to re-assert themselves as neither sheep nor wolves – but as lion-hearted Americans.

Ours is a rescue mission. If we do not press home our advantage over the next two years our mission will become a “recovery” mission.

Well, the dems are at it again. You simply have to give them an “A” for effort.

I recall a TV game show where the booth announcer would enthusiastically shout: “Come on DOWN” to those chosen as contestants on the show. The chosen contestants would rush to the stage expecting instant riches to await them there.

It seems to me there is something similar going on at the southern border of the US. I visualize democrats standing along the border gesturing to the would be illegal immigrants on the Mexican side to: “Come on OVER!” And, boy, they are coming – in DROVES. The illegals climb the fence, go under the fence in tunnels, around the fence, and, quite often, through the fence, all the while, expecting great riches awaiting them on the American side including free healthcare, free education, welfare payment checks each month and a guarantee of citizenship -- if their numbers become great enough to swing the elections in the democrats favor -- all of this as a result of breaking the US laws and becoming criminals.

Do not be fooled by all the denials from the democrats. Amnesty for illegal aliens is all about power for the liberal-socialist democrats in the US government. They, rightfully, see the gigantic influx of illegal aliens as a power source that will, if they can pull it off, guarantee victory at the polls, election cycle after election cycle, effective smothering their opposition and, eventually, securing them an uncontested lock on the US government forever.

So, if you liked the way the democrats have ruled under the democrat liberal-socialist control of the Congress and the socialist Obama Regime, then you are going to absolutely LOVE the socialist state the Hispanic vote will allow them to force on the American people. Very soon America will resemble nothing more than a banana republic with a socialist dictator in the mold of Hugo Chavez of Venezuela – or -- the Castro brothers of Cuba.

I hope that is a sobering thought for Americans. Here is another one. We are losing our country and the passage of The Dream Act will be the last nail in the coffin of a constitutional republic in the United States.

I have lost count of the many times the democrats have endeavored to pass bills for amnesty for illegal aliens in the past few years. It seems that every session of Congress they try again and again to ram it through. They change the name, add a few more freebies, and twist arms of reluctant senators and congresspersons and generally increase the pressure on those hapless lawmakers to a near unbearable level. Still, somehow, we have managed to hold them off… until the next time.

Now the Obama Regime is claiming immigration reform is an emergency and the Congress must act to pass The Dream Act during the ongoing lame duck session of Congress which has a little less than 18 days to finish their work before it disbands and heads home until the first of January.

Many of the current supporters of Immigration Reform (another title for Amnesty for illegal aliens) will not return in January having been unceremoniously thrown out of office by voters angry at their efforts to “fundamentally change America” into their version of a socialist utopia.

Amnesty for illegal aliens is not the least of the actions of the defeated democrats to anger Americans who DO understand we are losing our constitutional representative government and being yoked with oppression from a socialist elite who are working maniacally to turn off the lights of that fabled “Shining City on a Hill" and replace the hill, upon which it sat, with a dung heap.

The Dream Act must be stopped in its tracks -- and it must be stopped NOW! It will be nothing short of a disaster for America if it passes.

I simply do not think something this important to the very existence of America should be brought to the floor of the Congress during a lame duck session. As we said above, many of the democrats who will be supporting the bill have already been relieved of their office come the first of January. They have nothing to lose and they certainly do not have to fear a backlash from their constituents back home. Some might even feel a little revenge is in order for their having been dumped by their constituents in the Mid-Term Election back in November.

I repeat: The Dream Act, though artfully camouflaged, is nothing more than amnesty for illegal aliens and should NEVER come up for a vote in the Congress.

We all would do well to write, phone, e-mail, fax, send a telegram, or in some way not included here, contact our Senators and Congresspersons and tell them to vote NO on AMNESTY for ILLEGAL Aliens, otherwise known: “The Dream Act. We need to do it right NOW!

My friend (and fellow blogger) Alan Caruba has authored a piece posted at his personal site, “Facts not Fantasy”, entitled: “Are Liberals Just Nuts?. You really should read it in its entirety. You will find it HERE.

We have expressed our own opinion on the Democrats still not getting it, on the Republicans still not getting it, and on Obama’s completely missing the point of what the American electorate said in their rejection of Obama’s liberal-socialist agenda November 2nd.

For me to express my opinion on this topic required two or three commentaries.

I am a veteran of the spoken word, as a broadcaster, while Alan, on the other hand, is a veteran of the printed word, as a newspaperman.

I am in awe of Alan’s ability to cut through the clutter and get to the core of a topic, any topic, and present his opinion in a clear, concise, and scholarly manner. Alan does not disappoint in his commentary “Are Liberals Just Nuts?”

In the article Alan says: “Anyone who has tried to discuss, debate, or argue political issues with a liberal eventually concludes they are dealing with someone too deranged to be influenced by facts. The midterm election defeat of Democrats in the House and the narrowed margin of control of the Senate mean nothing to liberals whose explanations ignore reality.”

Referring to the calamitous outcome of the Mid-Term Election for the Democratic Party Alan says: “What have liberals learned from this? Nothing! The swift decline of confidence in Obama is attributed to his skin color. The economic stagnation is the fault of Wall Street. The rise in healthcare premiums will be blamed on insurance companies, not Obamacare. The anger of the electorate is blamed on angry, white-wing conservatives even though Tea Party candidates did not all get automatically elected to office.”

Alan sums up by saying: “Obama got elected on a message of hope and change, but voters did not like the change and are running out of any hope that he understands what happened on Election Day. That’s what happens when liberals are given power and that is why the next two years will be continued resistance to the changes voters want. Expecting them to rationally interpret the elections is a waste of time.”

If you have been observing the House Speaker’s campaign for the office of the Democrat’s House Minority Leader post, it is overly easy to see why the American electorate correctly believed the democrats were totally cut off from the American public. When asked about Pelosi’s quest for the new post, one TV commentator asked the obvious question: “How lucky can one political party (The GOP) be?”

It is clear to everyone, you would think, that Pelosi, along with Harry Reid, and Obama, were, and remain, the best thing to ever happen to the Republican Party. That triumvirate led the Democrat’s Kamikaze Congress to its flaming crash into the subbasement of political popularity.

Is it any wonder that republicans desperately want Pelosi to win her run for the post of House Minority Leader? I suspect the GOP would happily campaign for her! If she wins, she will be a constant reminder of the democrat’s thirst for power as the all-powerful rulers of an American socialist state.

The democrats give every indication they, as a political party, are delusional. It is a delusion that will lead them into even more trouble with the American electorate, which the democrats believe is simply too dumb to understand that socialism is good for freedom loving Americans.

Republicans are hoping against hope the democrats will continue to cling to that belief, and continue their attempts to force feed socialism to Americans. If they do, it will certainly backfire and result in the GOP taking charge of the US Senate and the Office of the Presidency in the election of November 2012. That will be a dream come true for the GOP.

Americans are an impatient people. There’s a reason why every manner of labor-saving device was invented here and why we are in love with every kind of device that lets us instantly communicate with one another.

In an earlier era, it might have taken longer for a majority of Americans to realize just how awful President Obama’s legislative and other policy initiatives were for the nation, but a plethora of punditry on countless Internet websites and blogs alerted them even while the mainstream media was trying to deceive them as they had with their support for candidate Obama.

As an aside, media prognosticators are predicting that daily newspapers are essentially all dinosaurs and many, if not most, will be gone in a decade or so. The general rule is that new technology, the Internet, drives out old technology, dead-tree newspapers.

The other factor is that most daily newspapers with their liberal outlook have simply been abandoned by subscribers who have tired of seeking real news amidst the propaganda. Prediction: none of the news weeklies will be around in five years or less. When even the National Enquirer and Star Magazine are filling for bankruptcy protection, you know the times they are changing. Survivors, however, may be the nation’s many weekly newspapers because, like politics, all news is local.

Impatience with a Congress that was so clearly out of touch with most constituents has resulted in a historic turnover of power to the Republican Party and it is a far more humble party than its heyday during George W. Bush’s two terms, the latter of which saw Americans return Democrats to power.

Americans had already grown weary of the war in Iraq that had begun in 2003 and had little enthusiasm for the nation’s military involvement in Afghanistan since 2001. Throughout history, great empires have fallen because they got over-extended in such conflicts.

Making matters worse for any administration is the growing perception that the Middle East is psychotic; a place where reason takes a backseat to a seventh century religion that dominates its politics and social life. Watching Muslims blow up mosques filled with other Muslims is sufficient to convince many Americans that no amount of military power or billions in foreign aid will change anything.

Only one nation in the Middle East poses any kind of military threat and that is Iran. The minute it actually acquires nuclear weapons will be the hour in which Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and various Gulf States sit down at the table with Israel to discuss and plan ridding itself of this threat. The Iranian leadership—not its people—are certifiably crazy.

Americans will be looking to a Republican controlled House to rid the nation of Obamacare and begin to address over-spending, joblessness, and other issues, but the next two years will be spent in triage, trying to stop the bleeding until the patient can make it to the operating room and that will require the election of a new president and a Republican Senate.

So Americans are going to have to strive to be patient while the many Republican governors redistrict their states to aid a victory in 2012. They will have to content themselves with legislative maneuvers to defund Obamacare or remove many of its more noxious mandates. Also on the To-Do list will be to put the Environmental Protection Agency in manacles before it utterly destroys the economy with crazed greenhouse gas emissions regulations.

There is little that can be done to turn around the decades-old disastrous energy policies that have stalled the construction of the many new coal-fired and nuclear plants needed to provide the electricity that is the very breath of life to the nation. The Obama administration will also continue to thwart any oil exploration and drilling, and how much of a priority this will be in the new Congress is unknown.

Meanwhile the White House has announced that, upon his return from India, President Obama will sit down with the Republican leadership of the House along with their Democrat counterparts including the noxious Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi. It is likely to be little more than a photo-op because this president is deaf to partisanship or the reversal of his plans to destroy the nation.

This means that that a less frightening two years is ahead with the hope of real change in 2012. The economy is barely improving and is likely to remain stagnant, even with the extension of the Bush tax cuts. A Mount Everest of federal regulations will have to be eliminated to get the economy moving again.

And then there are the unknown and unpredictable “events” that will occur. 9/11 was one such event in 2001.

On September 18, 2008, there was a little reported electronic run on U.S. banks that withdrew $550 billion before the Federal Reserve stepped in to stop it. It blew away the charade of the nation’s housing market that involved Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Privatizing both should be a GOP priority. Americans have yet to have been told who withdrew those billions.

Other events over which there is no control such as hurricanes, earthquakes and volcanoes could play a role. We’ve seen how the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico undermined confidence in the Obama administration.Two years isn’t really that long a time, but a lot can happen and it will call for patience and perseverance.

In 2008, Barack Obama would not have been elected to the presidency if white voters had not reached a point since the days of the 1960s Civil Rights movement to think a black man could and should have a shot at the job. If race played a role in the election, it was usually Obama that made reference to it, lightly touching on the subject to acknowledge and diminish it.

The only Americans permitted to discuss black/white relations these days are its media-designated spokespersons like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. When the NAACP spoke up recently, it was to condemn Tea Party members as racists. Rather than advance the condition of blacks in America, Obama has done almost nothing. Indeed, one of his administration’s first acts was to defund charter schools in Washington, D.C. where, like most major urban centers, the schools that young blacks attend are universally dismal.

It is, of course, impossible to look at the handsome, young black President without seeing a handsome, young black President. Understandably, he has the support of the vast majority of America’s black population; approximately 9.9 million according to the last census. They are a minority among minorities. There are now more Hispanics than blacks.

It is, however, Obama’s policies, not his skin color, that have created resistance. In a recent statement, Earl G. Graves Sr., chairman and publisher of Black Enterprise, said, “The distress is real and legitimate. First, people of all races and economic backgrounds are continuing to suffer as the result of an economy that continues to struggle.” Graves, however, gave Obama a pass with the now familiar assertion that Obama “inherited this mess”, but the fact is that Obama sought the presidency and all presidents inherit whatever issues preceded their term in office or occur on their watch. It is the manner in which they address those issues by which we judge their competency. Graves lamented that, despite Obama’s election as the nation’s first black president, “there are still people who just cannot get past the issue of race. They still can’t bring themselves to respect a black man, even if he is the President of the United States, regardless of his policies and actions.”

To which I say “hogwash.” The forthcoming midterm elections are all about the Obama administration policies; the profligate borrowing and spending, the bailouts, the takeover of the nation’s healthcare sector, the shutdown of offshore oil drilling, the insults to foreign allies, and the timidity toward foreign enemies.

Having lived in the south at a time when segregation was the norm, I can attest to how far white America has come in rejecting those restrictions, but I would argue that their hopes for America’s black community have fallen well short of expectations.

White Americans are hugely disappointed. Much had to be ignored when some of them voted for Obama. At one point in the campaign he had to disavow Rev. Jeremiah Wright and the twenty years he attended a church devoted to black liberation theology; a church where Rev. Wright could stand in the pulpit and say, “God damn America.”

Much within America’s black community remains dysfunctional. A recent Wall Street Journal commentary about the NAACP, noted that “Blacks are 13% of the population but comprise 38% of prison or jail inmates in the U.S., and black-on-black violent crime is the norm. Blacks commit 52% of all murders and make up 49% of all murder victims—90% of them are killed by other blacks.”

In cities, many of which that have had black mayors, the schools are among the worst. More than 70% of black children are born to single women and, as The Wall Street Journal commentary noted “are more likely to live in poverty, perform poorly in school, to commit crimes and abuse drugs.” This is a failure of the progress many white Americans had wished for. Obama is no flag-waving black American. He has noticeably been unwilling to salute during the playing of the national anthem. He is demonstrably a socialist in a capitalist nation.

When he selected Van Jones, a black member of the Communist Party, to be his “green jobs czar”, Jones resigned when his communist affiliation was revealed. When Obama lived with his grandparents in Hawaii, a teenage mentor was Frank Marshall Davis, a black newspaper journalist and poet who was widely known in the 1950s to be a communist. His memoirs speak of his affinity with Marxist students and faculty members.

He was elected despite this. It has taken less than two years in office for the backlash to occur.

It may be unfair, but whites hold black politicians to a higher standard of behavior simply because they have risen to positions of power, often as the result of heavily black constituencies.

Charles Rangel (D-NY) is facing ethics charges along with Maxine Waters (D-CA). It was revealed that Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-TX) steered college scholarships to members of her own family. In 2006 Rep. William Jefferson was found to have $90,000 in bribe money in his home freezer and subsequently went to jail. In 1994, Rep. Mel Reynolds was found guilty of having had sex with an underage 16-year-old campaign worker.

When it comes to the Department of Justice, issues of voting rights are front and center. The double standards of DOJ under the leadership of a black Attorney General, Eric Holder, are a cause for concern in the white community. While on a recent campaign stop in Rhode Island Obama repeated his mantra that the nation’s economic problems are all due to Republicans despite the obvious fact that Democrats have been in control of Congress since 2006. Prior to the 1994 midterm elections, Democrats had controlled Congress for forty years.

At one point Obama said, “We can’t have special interests sitting shotgun. We gotta have middle class families up in front. We don’t mind the Republicans joining us. They can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in back.” The ill-conceived and unfortunate back-of-the-bus remark comes from the early days of the Civil Rights struggle for equality when, throughout the South, blacks were required to sit in the back of the bus. Applying it to Republicans was especially offensive. In a recent radio interview he told Hispanic listeners that they must “punish our enemies.”

Like an old time Southern Democrat politician Obama has played the race and ethnicity card reflecting his party’s dependency, not just on blacks, but a hoped-for Hispanic support as well. The rest of his base has shrunk to unions and the nation’s youth. The midterm elections are expected to make a dramatic change in Congress and, when the dust settles, it will not be because America is led by a black president, but because America is led by an incompetent president, a socialist whose policies will have been soundly rejected.

Judge’s Ruling Mirrors America’s Decadence and Decline

America’s moral decline has been obvious for decades to those Americans who actually make an attempt to maintain civility and morality not just in their religious lives, but in their “workaday” lives as well.

Now we get rulings from the courts, which demand that some of us accept those things our religion teaches us are abominations -- the worse kinds of sin.

Are we so stupid that we have to wonder why America is in such trouble?

Could America’s trouble stem from it’s forsaking the deity that had extended the arm of protection and guaranteed the prosperity and progress of a nation I am personally convinced was founded as the last hope for a deteriorating world?

America has deteriorated from a nation held up as a shining example of what a God-fearing nation ought to be to a nation so mired in decadence that we have become the sort of nation to which WE USED TO SEND MISSIONARIES!

Look, we murder our babies and refer to it as “The Right To Choose.” We accept homosexuality and refer to it as “Tolerance.”

Many of our mainline religious denominations have gone over to the enemy. “Under the same management since 33 AD” no longer applies. Having found that following the dictates of God and the Scriptures is uncomfortable and inconvenient they have forsaken their mission on this earth and become no more than social clubs espousing leftists political philosophy from their pulpits such as environmentalism, liberalism, political correctness, (which is rooted in Marxism), and moral relativism. It would seem the modern mainline denomination churches now stand for everything -- but the Christian faith.

I have heard it said that if God does not destroy America, then he owes an apology to Sodom and Gomorrah.

What leads me to reverse my collar and climb into the pulpit with this tome? Another judge legislating from the bench. A judge’s ruling that Americans MUST accept a life-style many of the Judeo-Christian faith believe -- and their faith teaches -- is one of the worse sins a human being can commit is, or, at least, OUGHT to be, an affront to every American who subscribes to the Christian faith. Unfortunately, subscribing to the Christian faith and living the Christian faith are two different things in today’s America.

Yes, I understand the judge’s ruling applied to the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy of the US military. But do not be so naive that you kid yourself. This ruling will, most certainly, come to apply to all civilian endeavors as well.

This ruling will destroy our military just as it will bring dissension, discord, and eventually, dissolution to any civilian organization to which it is applied. For evidence, all one has to do is consider the mainline religious denominations which have accepted homosexual leaders and now permit the ordination of practicing homosexuals as pastors. They are crumbling from within while those religious denominations that insist upon remaining true to the scriptures are thriving and growing in vast numbers. After having tossed the scripture, upon which their churches were founded, out the window, they wallow in self-denial as they struggle just to have enough attendance at services to fill the choir, let alone the pews. They are, as the scriptures tell us: reaping what they have sown.

I left my denomination when it went over to the enemy. If I were an active member of the US military today, as soon as my current enlistment was up, I would leave the military, as well.

The US military is at war. They are fighting and dying every day. This is certainly NOT the time to force them to implement a new social policy on the fighting forces, which everyone (but the left) knows is going to cost the USA military additional lives on the battlefield.

The political left has never understood the sacrifice the people of our military make to insure the continued existence of the left’s unhappy lives. They have extreme difficulty understanding how anyone would willingly give their life for their country. They give lip service to terms such as “respect” and “honor” but I suspect they have never made the connection between those words and their application and practice, as they pertain to the US military.

If this judge’s ruling is allowed to stand, and I see no reason to suspect otherwise, as any appeal will be before the 9th Circuit Court, the most liberal court in the land, then we suggest the Commander-in-Chief order a 45 day period in which any US service member, not wishing to serve alongside homosexuals, be allowed to request and receive an honorable discharge and leave the services forthwith.

Of course, that will not happen.

If I were a recruiting officer today, I would request reassignment to some other duty. But recruiting won’t be a problem for long. The draft will have to be reinstituted in a few short years.
