Is The Obama Administration Evil?

Back in the 1970's, a novel was written by "Thomas Luke," a nom de plume (by the way) for Graham Masterton.  The title of the book was/is "The Hell Candidate."

The premise of the story is that a candidate for President of the United States makes a pact with Satan to secure the presidency.  The reader follows "the hell candidate" through the campaign, which, of course, he wins.

OK.  Before you ask -- yes, I did read the novel, back when it was published in the seventies.  No pun intended -- that cussed book made a heck of an impression.   It was right up my alley -- politics and religion, er, possibly NON-religion?  Whatever.

So why am i making reference to Mr. Masterton's book?  Because America is in the midst of a presidential campaign and I am beginning to feel as if there is another Hunter Peal in the running.  (Hunter Peal was the hell candidate in the book of the same name.)

Look.  I've been around for a rather long time and this presidential campaign isn’t my first rodeo.  Even before I could vote I was helping at my local Board of Elections on election nights.  I was HOOKED!  I still am -- sorry to say.

Where am I going with this?  Here -- Obamacare is a piece of legislation drafted in Hell and, if NOT signed by Satan himself, then it certainly has his seal of approval stamped (in glowing red letters) diagonally across the signature page.

Under Obamacare I am going to have to pay for abortions that my faith tells me are flat-out wrong.  I stand with the Catholic Church in their opposition to Obamacare's forcing them to violate their religious faith and commit a sin. 

Now we learn, that under Obamacare, voluntary sterilization of young women (and young men) will be offered free for women -- girls-- as young as fifteen years of age!

Just so I am clear on this -- in my opinion -- this is pure evil.

It violates the Free Exercise of Religion clause in the 1st Amendment to the Constitution.  It will force millions of the Judeo-Christian faith to violate their religion -- to commit sin.  To force millions of people to endanger their very souls is nothing short of demonic.  Obamacare absolutely has Satan's endorsement.

The man behind this mass abomination is Barack Hussein Obama, President of the United States -- and -- current candidate for a second four-year term.

The scriptures tell us plainly a man cannot serve two masters.   So, it seems to me, that folks of the Judeo-Christian faith have to make a decision, no matter their political party preference, this November.  The choice is plain.  We people of faith must decide whether we stand with our God, or with Obama.  As a Christian myself, the choice is very clear and very stark.  It is a choice between good and evil.

The progressives, the socialists, the secularists in the Obama Administration and in the Democratic Party are fueling this drive toward population control (For that's what it really is.) in the US. 

How long, we must ask, before the voluntary sterilization becomes mandatory?  It is a fair question considering how the left uses incrementalism to advance their agenda. 

The "environuts" seem to feel there are simply too many people on the planet and to save the earth it is absolutely essential to get rid of as many human beings as possible.  Better yet, stop them from ever being born

Yes, there really is a war on Christianity in America and it is leading toward religious persecution for Christians and Jews in America.  The Obama Administration is the prime mover, Satan's generals, if you please.

It is past time for America to wake up and see the Obama Administration for what it really is -- evil.

It is clear that America is already on the road to a godless society -- and -- a totalitarian society.  The Obama Administration is shredding our constitutional rights.  Obama has, himself, made clear that he chafes under the constraints of the Constitution and especially the Bill of Rights.

Do not count on the Supreme Court overturning Obamacare.  If I were a betting man, I'd bet that they will not do so.  The ONLY way this nation will be rid of that abomination from hell is to repeal it outright.

I, along with a few million of my fellow Christians, am going to the polls in November to vote against evil.  As we have been warned for a very long time, all that is necessary for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing.

There is the story told of the mother of a boxer at ringside watching her boxer son being beaten to a pulp in the ring.  She notices that beside her is a priest.  So, in desperation she turns and says, "Oh, father, won't you please pray for my son.  You see the beating he is taking."  The priest replies, "Sure, I'll pray for him -- but it would really help if your son would fight."

There's a lesson for folks of the Judeo-Christian faith in this story.  Praying is good, but it would be a great help if we got up off out backsides and put up a real fight.

“How many divisions does the Pope of Rome have?”  That question was asked by Joseph Stalin and addressed to Winston Churchill.

“In 1944, at a time when the Soviet Union bore the brunt of the struggle against Nazi Germany, it was important to convince Stalin that the Western democracies accepted him as an equal. “‘In the world of the future, for which our soldiers have shed their blood on countless fronts”, the British Prime Minister said in his bombastic style, “our three great democracies will demonstrate to all mankind that they, both in wartime and in peacetime, will remain true to the high principles of freedom, dignity, and happiness of the people. That is why I attach such paramount importance to good neighbourly relations between a restored Poland and the Soviet Union. It was for the freedom and independence of Poland that Britain went into this war. The British feel a sense of moral responsibility to the Polish people, to their spiritual values. It is also important that Poland is a Catholic country. We cannot allow internal developments there to complicate our relations with the Vatican…”

Churchill stopped short. He had not expected such a question. After all, he was speaking about the moral influence of the Pope, not only in Poland, but, also, throughout the world. Sixty-eight years later, President Obama seems to be dismissing the Pope’s divisions just as Stalin did.

Now, in the spirit of full disclosure, allow to me state clearly that I am not a Catholic.  In fact, I am a Lutheran … an “old” Lutheran.  By that, I mean that I am of the conservative side of the Lutheran faith.  I have no truck with the liberal side of the denomination.  Just so we are clear.

Dismissing the Pope’s divisions is just plain stupid.  Strong word, you think?  I don’t think so.  If the President has to tick someone off … why the Catholics? 

“About 24 percent of Americans call themselves Catholics today, but about 30 percent of Americans would have been brought up in the Catholic faith. The percentage of Americans who call themselves Catholics has remained steady at about 25 percent for over 50 years, but that is because those born Catholic here who leave the church are replaced by Catholic immigrants and by converts to Catholicism. About half of former Catholics join some form of Protestant faith community, usually evangelical; the other half are mostly unaffiliated with any religion, often calling themselves spiritual but not religious.”  (SOURCE)

I would draw your attention to this sentence from the excerpt above: “About half of former Catholics join some form of Protestant faith community, usually evangelical;” (SOURCE)

Notice the word “EVANGELICAL.”  Now, tell me, was my choice of the word “stupid” too strong, huh?

Obama is making the same mistake secularists have made for centuries and, as we can plainly see, continue to make today. A politician with an nth degree of situational awareness never, I repeat, NEVER, dismisses the Catholic Church. And yet, Obama chose to do so. 

Look, I really don’t care what your position on abortion is.  My position is very straightforward and very clear.  I believe that abortion is wrong … except … when the mother’s life is in danger.

We conservative commentators warned America of the dangers of ObamaCare.  We told Americans it would be personally intrusive to a degree Americans have never known before.  Now that the evidence is laid bare, it is utterly astounding at how many Americans STILL cannot grasp how their freedom has been eroded by the legislation from hell we call ObamaCare.

It is well past time to question the judgment of the man asking for a second term as President of the United States.

The 2012 national elections will be held on November 6 and I naturally want to get out ahead of all the other pundits and their predictions about its outcome. I cannot tell you who the Republican winner will be, but I can tell you that Barack Hussein Obama will be known as a former President.

He has most certainly turned out to be the biggest loser—a turkey—to hold the office of president. I can look back over my writings in 2008 and say “I told you so!” to anyone who voted for Obama.

It was surreal to watch how the mainstream media went out of its way to ignore the fact that there were virtually NO FACTS to cite regarding Obama-the-candidate. Any candidate who had gone to the extent of hiding the ordinary “paper trail” that all of us leave when we attend school, college, serve in the military, acquire a Social Security card, travel, or simply acquire friends and acquaintances, surely had something to hide.

To this day, no one seems to recall being in college with Obama, though he attended Occidental, Columbia, and Harvard. Surely you would think someone would pen a word or two of their memories of him. No student in the classes he taught on the Constitution at the University of Chicago has shared those days. If he dated anyone prior to Michelle, they remain incognito.

Like the fictional Shadow, Obama seemed to be able to “cloud men’s minds” when it came to any recall or inquiry about him.

The appalling performance of the mainstream media to get Obama elected was captured by Howard Kurtz, a columnist for The Washington Post who, on November 17, 2008, reported that NBC News was coming out with a DVD titled “Yes We Can: The Barack Obama Story” and that ABC and USA Today were following suit to rush out a book about the election.

“We seem to have crossed a cultural line into mythmaking,” said Kurtz. “Whew! Are journalists fostering the notion that Obama is invincible, the leader of what the New York Times dubbed ‘Generation O’?” Kurtz asked, “aren’t media people supposed to resist this kind of hyperventilating?”

The confidence I have in my prediction that he will be unemployed as of the afternoon of January 20, 2013 lies in the fact that he has spent the last three years being rebuffed on one policy or another, not the least of which was the Affordable Health Act, otherwise known as Obamacare.

Rejected by 26 States that brought suit against it, Obamacare’s constitutionality will be addressed by none less than the U.S. Supreme Court; a decision that may come in the spring of 2012. Given the court’s long record of precedents on comparable decision, it’s toast. Recently, in the electoral battleground State of Ohio, voters resoundingly rejected its mandate requiring everyone to buy health insurance under penalty of a fine.


2009 Inaugural Trash

In March 2010 an estimated one million people representing the Tea Party movement marched on Washington, D.C. to protest against passage Obamacare. They were a sharp contrast to the revelers that showed up for Obama’s inauguration and literally left tons of trash in their wake. We have seen this repeated by the Occupy movement participants.

There’s a term in boxing when a boxer has been hit hard enough to make him groggy, “stepping in post holes”, as he staggers around the ring. It seems an apt term for Obama who is finding fewer supporters and defenders beyond the hard core of liberal Democrats.

From promises to close Gitmo to efforts to try Islamic terrorists held there in civil courts, Obama was rebuffed.

Obama’s promises regarding jobs to be created by his “Stimulus” have proved baseless and costly.

On the numbers alone, Obama has been a disaster for America. Obama has presided over the first downgrade in the nation’s credit rating in its history. Federal spending has been the highest (25% of GDP) since World War II. Federal debt (67% if GDP) has been the highest since World War II.

Long-term unemployment (45.9%) is the highest since the 1930s. Those dependent on the government, receiving federal benefits (47%) is the highest in American history.

Obama’s aggressive anti-energy policies are costing jobs from the Gulf of Mexico to the now delayed Keystone XL pipeline and all points in between. Scandals involving the bankrupt Solyndra, a solar panel company and other “green energy” investments and loans are costing him support. This is true as well wherever coal is mined and where they drill for natural gas and oil.

Americans grew tired of his non-stop speeches and gaffs, with or without the Tele-Prompters that became a national joke. Now they must endure a year of his constant campaigning and his non-stop lies about Republicans and everything else.

His penchant for never accepting blame manifested itself in another punchline, “It’s George Bush’s fault.”

In 2010, voters returned power in the House of Representatives to the Republican Party. Does anyone at this point seriously think that these and other factors point to an Obama victory in 2012?

He will be defeated and by a margin that will astound everyone.

The Lawyers Rule

If one looks back over the history of the members of Congress, the occupation that dominates is lawyers. It is reasonable to assume that those in charge of making laws would attract those who practice it to public office.

I got to thinking about this while considering the current 112th Congress, one that has imposed Obamacare on an unwilling majority of the population with former Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, telling us that Congress had to pass this abomination in order to find out what was in it.

President Obama is a former lawyer with zero experience in the world of business and commerce. His current obsession is with “millionaires and billionaires.”

According to data from the Congressional Research Service, the dominant profession of Senators is law, followed by politics—also called “public service.” In the House, most members come from business, followed by public service, then law.

In the Senate, 49 had previous service in the House. In the House and Senate, 81 members were educators. There are two medical doctors in the Senate while the House has 15, plus two dentists, one veterinarian, one ophthalmologist, and one psychiatrist.

In the entire Congress, there is only one physicist, one chemist, six engineers, and one microbiologist.

Given the appalling financial condition of the nation, there are only seven accountants in the House and two in the Senate.

There are only five current members of Congress who served in the military Reserves, three in the House and two in the Senate. Four are current members in the National Guard; three in the House and one in the Senate. Four Representatives and one Senator are graduates of the U.S. Military Academy. Two Senators and one Representative are graduates of the U.S. Naval Academy.

In the 112th Congress, the Senate has a former comedian.

The 112th Congress has tossed aside its primary function to address the financial stability of the nation by authorizing a “super committee”, equally divided between Republicans and Democrats despite the fact that Republicans control the House where the authorization of all funding is a Constitutional mandate and the Democrats control the Senate by a bare majority of one vote.

There is extreme partisanship in both houses of Congress because the nation is sharply divided along liberal and conservative political preferences regarding its proper governance.

The 2010 elections moved the House in the direction of conservatism. For forty years Democrats controlled the Congress until the 1994 elections gave power to Republicans. It has seesawed back and forth since then, but both parties did little to address the issue of “entitlements”, Social Security and Medicare, or the looming housing mortgage crisis that imploded in 2008.

The 2008 election gave the nation its first president who, despite flowing rhetoric about bringing together the opposing factions in Congress, has not served from a center-left position, but has plunged totally into a far Left takeover of large portions of the nation’s economy from health to auto manufacturing to financial services.

For those who despair of the present and future, it is worth noting that the Founding Fathers created a Constitution that was designed to deliberately slow down the process of legislation with checks and balances that included presidential veto powers and a Supreme Court to determine issues of constitutionality.

The last time the nation was this divided, it fought a Civil War over the issues of slavery and states rights. This time, Americans are patiently waiting for the 2012 national elections to vote in a new president and rearrange the seating charts in Congress to favor conservative legislators. Who says so? All the polls.

The Tea Party movement was the direct result of the rejection of Obamacare which has been repealed in the House and is headed to the Supreme Court. The uncertainty surrounding it continues to have a profound and negative affect on the economy.

Like moths to a candle, the power vested in Congress has drawn lawyers as the group most interested in holding high office. That remains the case today and raises the question of how a group of men and women trained to lie on behalf of their clients can be trusted to make informed and intelligent decisions about the conduct of the nation’s affairs.

“It has been said that Democracy is the worst form of government except all the others that have been tried”, said Winston Churchill. In a private moment, he is quoted as having said, “Americans can always be relied upon to do the right thing — after they have exhausted all other remedies.”

We have been exhausted by the socialism of past Congresses and the remedies that President Obama has tried to impose on an unwilling nation. It is time to do the right thing.

If one has been in the habit of reading history then the events of the past and of the present inform each other. For this reason, it occurred to me that the world is once again having a nervous breakdown.

It’s not just about money, though surely the nations of Europe along with the U.S. have spent themselves into the poorhouse in ways that defy the imagination. If it weren’t so serious, it would be comical to see the desperation that has led our Federal Reserve to print money backed by nothing and to watch the central bankers of Europe move gobs of euros around between the new mother church, Germany, and the banks of Greece, Spain, Ireland, and Italy so that they can pay their bills.

They’re all broke. We have individual States that have a higher GDP than Greece that have balanced their budgets. Those are usually the States whose constitutions require they balance their budget. The rest are run by governors torn between taking the federal largess intended to deprive them of more sovereignty and hoping that the next natural disaster hits the State above or below them instead.

Few arrive at a nervous breakdown overnight. It takes time and a variety of bad decisions or bad luck or both. After blaming George W. Bush and Republicans for his problems, Obama has taken to blaming bad luck. Does he even know that people have concluded the economy is now officially and completely his fault?

When he proposed Obamacare, a million Americans

Obama cannot explain away having increased government spending by 50% between 2008 and 2010 while calling for higher taxes on everyone at the same time there are an estimated 14 million Americans out of work, stopped looking for work, or can’t get a job because Obamacare has so screwed up the near future that businesses are reluctant to hire anyone.

The 2008 financial crisis was 100% a government creation dating back to the establishment of Fannie Mae in 1938 to purchase mortgages from banks in order to encourage more lending, more home building, more home ownership. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but it ignored the timeless role of greed in banking.

Rule Number One: Almost everything the government touches, it ruins in some fashion. At the very least, it increases its cost of operation.

Rule Number Two: The government’s primary function is the defense of the nation against attack. As Ronald Reagan said, “Nobody ever started a war with us because we were too strong.”

Rule Number Three: Government exists due to its ability to tax and spend other people’s money. Spending always needs to be restrained.

Rule Number Four. Government will always produce more laws and regulations than are needed. It should be restrained. (See the U.S. Constitution).

Globally, we are just emerging from a bout of total insanity called “global warming.” This was a theory that said that something that represented 0.038% of the Earth’s atmosphere was trapping all the heat and would kill us unless massively reduced. That “something” is carbon dioxide, a gas on which—along with oxygen—all life depends. It is plant food; the less carbon dioxide, the less vegetation. Herbivores eat vegetation and carnivores eat herbivores. Humans, being omnivores, eat both.

The other craziness afflicting the planet is “radical” Islam. The truth is that it has been just plain old Islam for about 1400 years. There are a billion Muslims, most located in the Middle East, Africa, India, and Indonesia. Wherever they are, their non-Muslim neighbors cordially hate them because Islam teaches that all other religions are false and that those who believe them—infidels—can be killed for not being Muslims. The strange part of this is, depending on whether you’re a Shiite or Sunni, it is perfectly okay to kill other Muslims, too. Christianity went through this during the Reformation, 1517 to 1648.

When I was a child, the world went crazy and held a great big war. It involved Germany, Japan, and Italy as the “Axis” powers and just about everyone else did their best to destroy their military in every way possible. The Axis was defeated first and then, still holding out, the Empire of Japan had not one, but two, atomic bombs dropped on them before they quit. showed up in Washington, D.C. to tell them not to do it. He should have listened to them. Now we call them the Tea Party.

World War Two was the direct result of Europe’s World War One. The surrender terms were so awful the Germans embraced a lunatic called Hitler and the Italians fell in love with Mussolini.

The Soviet Union came out of World War One when the Germans permitted Vladimir Lenin, a Communist, into Russia. He started a revolution and the Russians swapped a czar for a new dictator. Stalin took over from Lenin, but because communism has never worked anywhere it was tried, the Soviet Union eventually fell apart in 1991. Now a republic, the new dictator is named Vladimir Putin.

As the French say, “Plus les choses changent, ils plus elles restent les memes.” The more things change, they more they stay the same.

The world is having a nervous breakdown because institutions, religions, and political ideologies are having difficulty adjusting to the migration and growth of populations. Modern communications technologies are playing a role as well.

The chimera haunting everyone is the military capacity to inflict massive devastation and death has increased beyond the confidence of governments and people that it can be controlled without having to kill a lot of people, i.e., Iranians, in the process..

Capitalism, despite an abundance of communism still around, has triumphed, but like any system, has been subjected to a great deal of abuse, rocking the economies of the U.S., Europe, and making most other nations nervous, too.

And, finally, there are six-going-on-seven billion people on a planet that is probably not intended to have that many. It puts intense strain on everything from water to food to the sources of energy that fuel modern and developing nations.

So everyone’s on edge. Nations and continents are on edge. The world is having a nervous breakdown.

Remember when everyone was calling George W. Bush stupid? I do. Since then, his published memoir of his years in the White House has been on the bestseller lists following two years of Barack Obama unrelenting blunders and lies.

From the beginning of the Obama administration, there were all manner of evidence that a group of hapless, moronic ideologues had been handed the reins of power. Early nominees for key posts were jettisoned or withdrew from consideration for a variety of reasons. This was followed by a huge overlay of “czars” for everything, with undefined power over and above the Cabinet Secretaries in charge of various departments.

Two years later, the candidate who campaigned against the Iraq war decisions and implementation, against Guantanamo, and deemed Afghanistan to be the “real war” is pursuing the same Bush programs. The general credited with victory in Iraq has been put in charge of Afghanistan and not been heard from since.

When the Iranians protested in the streets of Tehran last year, Obama missed a major opportunity to throw U.S. support behind them. Instead he said he did not want to “meddle” in Iran’s internal affairs! Fast forward to Egypt and President Stupid was declaring on worldwide television that President Mubarak had to go “now.” Well, he’s gone and, thank God, the military is still in charge.

Surrounded by imbeciles and ideologues, President Stupid’s national security director declared that the MUSLIM Brotherhood was a “secular” organization. His science advisor thinks all the ice at the North Pole is melting. His EPA Director thinks that carbon dioxide, a gas vital to all life on earth, is a “pollutant” and is asserting the authority to regulate it.

In both the first and second State of the Union speeches, President Stupid rambled on about green jobs, solar and wind energy, and now the need to spend billions on a “high speed” rail system in a nation where Amtrak has been losing money from the day it opened for business. In a time of severe deficits and national debt, how dumb do you have to be to want to throw billions at an unneeded new rail system?

President Stupid’s decisions have frequently left people gasping in disbelief. He appointed “a wise Latina”, Sonia Sotomayor, to the Supreme Court even though she had never been a judge.

Obamacare is the pinnacle of President Stupid’s “achievements” thus far. It has been declared unconstitutional by two lower courts and is likely to be declared null and void by the Supreme Court before he leaves office. The House Budget Committee just released a report that estimates the loss of 800,000 jobs if it becomes law. You have to be stupid to keep handing out “waivers” to Obamacare in all directions as an admission of its failure to apply only to those who do not have friends in the White House.

You have to be stupid to keep defending “global warming” or “climate change” when this huge, global hoax was exposed in 2009 as a fraud. Meanwhile, a natural cooling cycle is caused freezing weather that just wiped out 80-100% of Mexico’s crops.

You have to be stupid to openly declare that you want to drive the coal industry out of business when it provides half of all the electricity the nation uses every day, but that is precisely what President Stupid’s administration is doing.

You have to be stupid to declare a moratorium on drilling for oil in the Gulf of Mexico after courts have twice told you to remove it.

You have to be stupid to lecture the U.S. Chamber of Commerce on how to create jobs when your economic policies have been killing them for two years. And then tell them they have to redistribute their profits to their workers. They already do that. It’s called wages!

You have to be stupid to have spent the first two years of Sundays playing golf and then expect people to believe you are deeply religious.

You have to be stupid to keep bowing to foreign leaders of nations from Saudi Arabia to Japan to China when the President of the United States must never bow to anyone. We don’t even lower our flag in the presence of foreign leaders.

You have to be stupid to believe you can get away with telling lies when even an adoring press is finding it increasingly difficult to cover up or defend this behavior.

Watch now as the press begins the run-up to the 2012 elections by emphasizing how brilliant President Stupid really is.

Already the talk is about a surefire reelection if the unemployment rates gets down to eight percent when its average over the pre-Obama years has usually been around five percent and actual unemployment is twice the official figure of 9.6 percent.

You have to be stupid to think Americans will be fooled again.

More lies from the Obama Regime are surfacing. Just as the putrid corpse of a drowning victim will rise after a short period, the stench of the sub-surface lies of ObamaCare are coming to the surface -- one at a time.

Remember US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s statement that the Congress would have to pass the ObamaCare law for the citizens of the US to learn what is in it? Of course, you do! That’s why she will be the “FORMER” Speaker of the House is a few days!

Well, they passed it – and now we are learning, just as Pelosi said, what is in it. The majority of Americans STILL hate it! The more we learn about it, the more we learn what is in it, the more we hate it.

Obama is a fast learner. He has learned, since November 2nd, that he must hide his machinations from the new republican led House of Representatives. He is going to rely on his Czars and his regulatory agencies to pass into law the control over US citizens necessary to “fundamentally transform” (Obama’s words) America into the socialist utopia he dreams about. Conservative commentators and pundits warned Obama would do this… why… because he is an ideologue. He eats, sleeps, and breathes socialist ideology! He can’t help himself. He absolutely MUST bring down America’s constitutional republic.

Remember the “Death Panels” we were warned about by Sarah Palin and other conservatives. It was the so-called end-of-life plan written into the original ObamaCare Plan. When the public learned about it, all heck broke loose and the democrats were forced to drop it from the ObamaCare plan.

But never fear. Obama is doing an end run around the national legislature, the Congress, and forcing it on the American people, anyway! ObamaCare supporters refer to it as a “quiet victory.”
See what I mean?

The Obama Regime, and his cohorts in the Democratic Party, were hoping to keep this quiet for they knew that once the public learned of it, they would immediately pressure their new Republican led House of Representatives to either force Medicare to abandon the regulation or cut off funding to effectively starve the regulation to death.

NOW – do you see why so many of us were concerned that Obama would use his regulatory agencies to force the full brunt of the ORIGINAL ObamaCare plan on America??? I am more convinced than ever that THAT is THE PLAN!

Czars, executive orders, and regulations have already begun pouring from the faucet of “Big Brother SOCIALIST” government. Watch for the stream to become a flood in very short order.
This, dear reader, is how you lose your freedom, your liberty, and your country.

But how could this possibly happen in AMERICA – to AMERICANS? The answer is simple, really: Ignorance and Apathy.

The public education system in America, the “government schools,” are turning out some of the least educated graduates on earth. The democrats run the schools. Ok, labor unions, then. But what’s the difference? They are symbiotic. They feed off each other.

Americans have no clue, anymore, about whom they are, where they come from, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, freedom, liberty, what it costs to obtain freedom and, even more important, what it costs to remain free. That is ignorance of the “deadly” kind.

The second deadly killer of freedom and liberty is not caring enough. Freedom and liberty must be cared about and CARED FOR.

Americans MUST get involved in the life of their nation. Why? The election of 2006 and 2008 ought to tell you everything you need to know. We placed our country into the hands of liberal-socialists, called democrats, and they, in turn, have taken America so far down the road of ultimate destruction that our actual survival as a free people is in serious question. The results of both those elections hinged on ignorance and apathy.

The ignorance and apathy of Americans also gave us ObamaCare – and -- Obama’s “Death Panels”, government officials deciding who lives and who dies, who receives approved treatment as they approach the end of their lives – and who doesn’t.

And this is just the beginning. It WILL get worse. Trust me.

America has surely entered a time of great tribulation. The handwriting is glaring at us from the wall. America cannot continue to survive on the path she chose in the 1960’s and continues on today.

The path to survival is narrow. It is hard, difficult, and certainly not pleasant. The path we are on, the path to destruction, is broad. It is wide and easy – not difficult at all. But at the end lies destruction.

America’s new Congress is going to need all the help it can get from the citizens of this country – even when Congress doesn’t want it.
I intend to aggravate the living daylights out of my congressman, who happens to be a conservative democrat. (I know that is difficult to believe.) The same goes for my Senators -- one democrat and one republican. Why… because it is my job as a citizen… and as a father and grandfather.

America can be saved. She is worthy of being saved. But we cannot save her by sitting back and waiting on the next fellow to do it.

It is time to fight back -- to fight for our freedom. Freedom, once lost, is almost never recovered. Doing nothing will certainly allow evil to triumph!

Every Awful Thing You Need to Know About Obamacare

By Alan CarubaOctober 14, 2010, Politico.com – “A federal judge in Florida will allow parts of a multi-state lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of the health care overhaul to proceed -- including a challenge to the controversial requirement that nearly all Americans buy insurance.”

Some good news at last.

There’s something faintly obscene in the term “Obamacare” because this is legislation that demonstrates how little Barack Obama really cares about Americans who reach the age where they can qualify for Medicare or Medicaid. In so many ways, it destroys Medicare and, indeed, health care in America.

Recently The Heartland Institute, a non-profit, non-partisan research organization headquartered in Chicago, published a guide, aptly titled “The Obamacare Disaster” by Peter Ferrara. You can download it for free and it will not require that you spend a lot of time reading it.

Ferrara has been involved in health care and entitlement issues for three decades. He was a staff member in the White House Office of Policy Development under President Ronald Reagan and was an associate deputy attorney general under President George H.W. Bush. He’s been an associate professor of law at George Mason University School of law and received an undergraduate degree in economics magna cum laude from Harvard College and a J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School.

Because we live busy lives, here’s a brief synopsis.

1. Obamacare is a government takeover of health care in the nation. It creates more than 150 new bureaucracies, agencies, boards, commissions, and programs that will authorize bureaucrats to tell doctors and hospitals what is quality care and what is not. It mandates exactly what health insurance workers and employers must buy, what benefits they will get, and imposes a fine on anyway if they do not comply. It is the antithesis of freedom.

2. It will cause health care costs, not just to rise, but to soar. This is why more than a hundred U.S. companies that already offer low cost health care insurance to their employees have already requested waivers. If Obamacare’s intent was to destroy the health care insurance business—and it is—it has succeeded.

3. In an effort to anticipate and prevent rising health care costs, it institute a system of rationing. It does this in part by cutting $3 trillion in Medicare cuts over the first 20 years. In practical terms, this will kill people forced to wait for services.

4. Obamacare discourages private investment in the development of medical technologies and drugs. This is the very reason U.S. health care is the envy of the world and why it will be effectively undermined.

5. Obamacare imposes new taxes and increase tax rates starting in 2011, adding up to $500 billion over the first ten years. This, of course, contradicts Obama’s promise not to raise taxes on anyone earning less than $250,000.

6. Medicare and Medicaid are already famous for the billions in fraud in these two programs. Obamacare sharply expands Medicaid. The Congressional Budget Office reports the Act will increase federal spending by almost $1 trillion over the first ten years. With full implementation, starting in 2014, it will increase spending by $2.4 trillion, making it the most expensive legislation ever approved by Congress and signed by a president.

7. Obamacare will ensure higher deficits as far as the eye can see, adding $2-to-$3 trillion over the next twenty years.

8. Obamacare inflicts lower quality health care on Americans, particularly for the most vulnerable such as premature babies and the elderly, and those suffering from cancer and heart disease.

9. It will negatively impact jobs, wages, and economic growth. It effectively punishes creating new jobs or paying higher wages. It will double that marginal tax rates in the income tax code for low, moderate, and middle-income workers.

10. At a meeting of the National Association of Counties on March 9, 2010, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said, “We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it.” This is the same person who thinks that Food Stamps are good for the economy.

And now you know why Peter Ferrara calls it a disaster.

Michael Barone has a piece at the Washington Examiner which is a “must Read” for those of you who felt I was overly critical of the Obama Regime in my article entitled: “ Groomed for a Socialist Dictatorship” (HERE). If you will read Mr. Barone’s piece, I expect you will see more evidence that what I was trying to say was, in fact, not strong enough.

Barone’s article is entitled: “Gangster government stifles criticism of Obamacare” and you will find it (HERE).

In his article, Barone says: “The threat to use government regulation to destroy or harm someone's business because they disagree with government officials is thuggery. Like the Obama administration's transfer of money from Chrysler bondholders to its political allies in the United Auto Workers, it is a form of gangster government.”

Barone quotes from a letter by Secretary Kathleen Sebelius of the Department of Health and Human Services to Karen Ignagni, president of America's Health Insurance Plans -- the chief lobbyist for private health insurance companies.

In the letter, Sebelius says the following: “"There will be zero tolerance for this type of misinformation and unjustified rate increases." Secretary Sebelius, you see, is unhappy with insurance companies that have found it already necessary to raise their rates as a result of the added expense (costs) to them as a direct result of ObamaCare.

Sebelius also issues a threat. In the letter she states: "We will also keep track of insurers with a record of unjustified rate increases: Those plans may be excluded from health insurance Exchanges in 2014."

That threat lends even more credence to our claims that Obama Care intends to destroy the private healthcare insurance companies in America and eventually install a single-payer type healthcare system, which will be government run and government controlled.

Sebelius’ threat, simply put, is to put those insurance companies out of business if they dare disclose to the public that their rate increases are a direct result of the added costs to them of ObamaCare.

The Obama regime is flat out telling the Insurance companies to shut up and do as they are told or they (The Obama Regime) will sic their thugs on them (the insurance companies.)
All of this comes at a time when the American people are genuinely ticked-off at the Obama Regime and the liberal-socialist controlled Congress.

A recent Gallup poll shows just how “put out” the American people are with a government they feel, and rightly so, is out of control. Americans know in their guts that an out of control Congress in a constitutional republic is the worst sort of threat to their freedom.

In their poll, Gallup asked about the national health care bill, the stimulus, the bailout of auto companies, the bailout of major banks and financial institutions, and the financial regulatory reform bill. Liberal-socialists believe these things to be the major accomplishments of the current administration and Congress. The American people, however, see them as launching pads for a socialist government in America.

Gallup found “… majority opposition to all those measures, with the exception of financial reform. The numbers: Bank bailouts, 61 percent disapprove versus 37 percent approve; national health care, 56 percent disapprove versus 39 percent approve; auto bailouts, 56 percent disapprove versus 43 percent approve; stimulus, 52 percent disapprove versus 43 percent approve.”

Gallup found that “only financial reform, with 61 percent approve versus 37 percent disapprove, is a winner for the representatives and senators.” (In the spirit of complete disclosure, I must tell you -- this scribe is flat-out against the Obama Financial Reform bill.) This may come as a surprise to our neighbors on this planet we call earth, but we Americans do no like this President. We do not like what he, with the help of his cohorts in Congress (which is now dominated by liberal-socialists), have done to a formerly free America and we are determined to change it back to a free constitutional republic beginning in November.

The American electorate is “leaning forward” in anticipation of going to the polls in November determined to purge as many liberal-socialists and progressives (of both parties) as we possibly can.

Contrary to what the world has been told by the Obama Regime, America is not “just another country” we are, indeed, different. Never allow yourself to believe that Americans will go to war to insure another country’s freedom but we will not go to war to insure our own. The American “War Between the States” should disabuse you of any such misconception. Armed conflict between Americans is always a last resort, but believe me when I tell you -- IT IS NEVER OFF THE TABLE. It is woven into the fabric of who we are as a people. Indeed, America was formed in the crucible of war. It has been through war that we have preserved our freedom from the dangers presented by our enemies -- both foreign AND domestic.

At this moment in American history anger -- at a government out of control -- is roiling in America. There is no animal on earth more dangerous than a PO’ed American. That is not to be taken as a boast, it is a simply statement of fact. Conservative Americans are the most dangerous simply because they are more willing to fight, both rhetorically and physically, to preserve the freedom granted them by the constitution. Their passion for living free is the very thing that forged their conservatism and fuels their readiness to fight to preserve it.

The American tolerance for government thuggery is OVER, used-up, kaput! I, like millions of Americans across this great country we call America, can’t wait to get to the polls, in November, to clean house in Washington.

Allow me to relate to you a story of an American citizen’s experience with the 2010 Census:

When the census began earlier this year, he did not receive the form. Then, if you recall, the government said there would be a second mailing. He did not receive the form in the second mailing. Soon afterwards he saw a notice in his regional newspaper that informed those having still not received their census forms to call a certain telephone number and request a form be sent to them. So, as a dutiful citizen, he called the number and made his request. In a couple of days, or so, he received the form. Within 48 hours he sat down and took the 5 to 6 minutes required to fill out the form and he mailed it back to the US Census Bureau.

It was finally done, he thought. . Thinking that all was well with the US Census, and himself he put the matter out of mind.

A few days ago, his wife found a notice stuck in their front door. It was a notice that a census taker had tried to contact them and was unable to do so and it gave a number to call. This time he decided to wait until the first day of the coming workweek. Since it was already Saturday, there did not seem to be a rush.

The very next day, which happened to be a Sunday, a knock came at his front door. When he opened it, there stood what he instantly recognized as a census taker dressed in shorts and a tank top and carrying a clipboard.

He explained that he had been missed by both mailings, had called, received a census form, had filled it out, and returned it. The census taker was polite but asked if he would mind answering the questions for him anyway.

As it was a Sunday, and this particular American citizen is, at heart, a peaceable fellow (especially on a Sunday morning) he agreed. They sat down and the census taker asked the very same questions this American citizen had already answered and sent to Washington. They shook hands and parted company.

Soon after hearing this story, I began to think, which, as regular readers already know, can be dangerous. I thought: This is THE CENSUS! It only takes place every TEN YEARS. Then why the dickens was it so confounded screwed-up? I mean, its not like it was done “off the cuff.” There is a good ten years between the taking of the censuses to iron out the problems, and be reasonably certain it will go off with a minimal amount of glitches. In the case cited above it resembled more of, what we used to call (in the military) a “cluster****!”

But, then again, there is the old expression that seems apropos to this situation: “Close enough for government work.”

This whole experience is worrisome for me on two fronts. One: unless some one in DC catches the error, this American citizen’s state will wind up with at least two more citizens on its rolls than it should have. Depending upon how many times this has happened nationwide, the Lord, Himself, will only know how many American citizens there actually are. Remember these numbers are often used to determine the letting of government funds and services to the several states, and cities, etc. A REASOANABLY accurate counting is extremely necessary.

Then on front number two: Horrors of horrors, I thought, this is the same government to which we now, by law, must entrust our health, indeed, our LIVES!

It is one thing to have a screw-up while gathering and adding numbers for a census. It is quite another thing to entrust our lives to the same government’s doctors in a hospital or clinic run by (or controlled by) that very same government. This is a hellish nightmare!

Remember, too, this is the same government that could not run a postal service when private companies all around them were running circles around them delivering packages on time, at a reasonable rate, and making huge profits for their businesses.

You are only kidding yourself if you actually believe that ObamaCare will be anywhere near as efficient -- or the quality of care will come anywhere near that which we enjoy today.

Rationing is a given. Healthcare will cost we Americans far, far, more than we are paying now -- and for what? Less healthcare, rationing of healthcare, fewer doctors and hospitals resulting in longer waits just for the privilege of seeing a doctor who is, for all intents and purposes, a government employee. As I said, it is going be a hellish nightmare.

The ONLY alternative we have, until we can gain indisputable control of a veto proof Congress, is to defund and make every effort to repeal ObamaCare.

If you harbor the suspicion that a lot of voters are not bright enough to understand the issues, the candidates, or anything about those who hold public office, you are right.

Considering the critical issues affecting the security, economy, and the future of the nation, it is clear that we are being ruled by a cabal in Congress who vote the Democrat Party line without regard for anything other than political self-interest.

They got there, however, because of a solid core of voters who consistently demonstrate what dim bulbs they are.

Assuming some of these morons read the newspaper or got their news from the Internet sites of what is called the mainstream media, a 2004 Pew Research Center poll found that five times more journalists described themselves as politically “liberal” than those who said they were conservative.

That same year, a poll by the University of Connecticut found that journalists backed John Kerry over George W. Bush by a margin of two-to-one. Not much has changed since, except that daily newspapers keep going out of business; more than 120 dailies shut down in 2009.

Journalists keep asking themselves why???

Perhaps slobbering over Barack Obama and getting him elected might have contributed to a general sense of dissatisfaction among people whose I.Q. is higher than room temperature.

For many years there has been an annual Battleground Poll conducted by a bipartisan polling organization known for its rigorous methodology. It seeks to determine how Americans self-identify themselves politically. One of its questions asks, “When thinking about politics and government, do you consider yourself to be…” Then the respondent can choose from “very conservative, somewhat conservative, moderate, somewhat liberal, very liberal, or unsure/refused.”

The April 2010 poll results revealed that Americans overwhelmingly describe themselves as conservative. Over the years the percentage has never been less than 58% and, over the course of the years, 60.2% on average call themselves conservative.

This raises the question, of course, why the Congress is filled with so many “progressives” or “liberals”, depending what they call themselves or why Ronald Reagan’s two terms and George H.W. Bush’s single term was followed by William Jefferson Clinton? He, in turn, was followed by George Walker Bush. Voters then turned to a completely unknown candidate with no experience beyond having been a “community organizer”, Barack Hussein Obama.
Nothing resembling logic explains this, but there is a factor that stands out in poll after poll and that is raging stupidity.

A casual look at poll results in just the past month gives evidence of this. For example, despite the greatest man-made disaster of recent times, the BP oil spill, Rasmussen Reports revealed that 25% of adults nationwide had a favorable opinion of BP. Indeed, 6% had a “very favorable” opinion of BP.Rasmussen polls asking for opinions of Janet Napolitano, the Secretary of Homeland Security, revealed that 32% had a “somewhat favorable” opinion of this pinhead and 21% had no opinion regarding her performance in office.

Asked about Attorney General Eric Holder, one in four voters (26%) “still don’t know enough about Holder to venture any kind of opinion about him” and 35% professed to hold a favorable view. This is the AG who criticized the Arizona illegal immigration statute without having read it.

Ignorant of U.S. history and our Constitution, 28% of those polled said that civilian control of the military is bad for the U.S. The Founding Fathers, including James Madison, the chief author of the U.S. Constitution, advocated civilian control to ensure a stable democracy.

Finally, for my purposes, there are the polling results regarding whether the nation is on the right or wrong track these days. As recently as late June 28% of likely voters said that the country is heading in the right direction!

We have a Congress voting on bills, often in excess of two thousand pages, without knowing what they entail or the changes they will impose.

We have a President who has taken barely a year and a half to double the national debt, crisscrossed the world to apologize for protecting huge portions of it from despotism, has nationalized one sixth of the economy with a hated healthcare act and is pushing for a Cap-and-Trade bill that will impose crushing taxes on all energy use. He also intends to raise our income taxes in the midst of a raging Recession.

You don’t have to be a statistician to figure out that somewhere between 25% and 30% of the voters are stupid beyond redemption, oblivious to events and trends that show a nation in deep trouble.

I suggest this is the core constituency of the Democrat Party that has been pandered to from the days of Franklin D. Roosevelt. The remainder, the 60.2% who identify themselves as conservatives had better get to the polls in November to save this nation from utter ruin

Some weeks ago we warned there was an avalanche of taxes headed our way. Now comes a breakdown of what American families will be facing on January 1st, of 2011 courtesy of Americans for Tax Reform at http://www.atr.org//.

The article is tiled: “Six Months to Go Until The Largest Tax Hikes in History.” You will find it (HERE.).

The article by Ryan Ellis explains that the massive tax increase will strike more as a tsunami – in waves. Mr. Ellis says: “In just six months, the largest tax hikes in the history of America will take effect. They will hit families and small businesses in three great waves on January 1, 2011.”The first great wave will be: Expiration of 2001 and 2003 Tax Relief. The second great wave will be: Obamacare, and the third great wave will be: The Alternative Minimum Tax and Employer Tax Hikes.

Mr. Ellis goes on to say, in his excellent article, the following: “In 2001 and 2003, the GOP Congress enacted several tax cuts for investors, small business owners, and families. These will all expire on January 1, 2011.

So what will happen? Mr. Ellis explains: “Personal income tax rates will rise. The top income tax rate will rise from 35 to 39.6 percent (this is also the rate at which two-thirds of small business profits are taxed). The lowest rate will rise from 10 to 15 percent. All the rates in between will also rise. Itemized deductions and personal exemptions will again phase out, which has the same mathematical effect as higher marginal tax rates. The full list of marginal rate hikes is below:- The 10% bracket rises to an expanded 15%- The 25% bracket rises to 28%- The 28% bracket rises to 31%- The 33% bracket rises to 36%- The 35% bracket rises to 39.6%

According to Mr. Ellis article married Americans and American families will not escape, either. He explains there will be higher taxes on marriage and American families. He states: “The “marriage penalty” (narrower tax brackets for married couples) will return from the first dollar of income. The child tax credit will be cut in half from $1000 to $500 per child. The standard deduction will no longer be doubled for married couples relative to the single level. The dependent care and adoption tax credits will be cut.”

And guess what – the DEATH TAX will return! Mr. Ellis explains; “This year, there is no death tax. For those dying on or after January 1, 2011, there is a 55 percent top death tax rate on estates over $1 million. A person leaving behind two homes and a retirement account could easily pass along a death tax bill to their loved ones.

If you have made an effort to be frugal and save, you are in trouble from the tax man, as well: Ellis says there will be: “Higher tax rates on savers and investors. The capital gains tax will rise from 15 percent this year to 20 percent in 2011. The dividends tax will rise from 15 percent this year to 39.6 percent in 2011. These rates will rise another 3.8 percent in 2013.

Then comes the second wave. It will come as no surprise to those of us who tried to warn our fellow Americans that socialized medicine in America would cost the living daylights out of Americans. So here it comes. We now know, thanks to Mr. Ellis’ article there are over twenty new or higher taxes in Obamacare.

Several of these taxes will first go into effect on January 1, 2011. They include: “The “Medicine Cabinet Tax,” “The “Special Needs Kids Tax,” and “The HSA Withdrawal Tax Hike.”
(You REALLY need to read Mr. Ellis’ article (HERE.) for the startling details of these taxes.

Then comes the Third wave of taxes: “The Alternative Minimum Tax and Employer Tax Hikes.” Mr. Ellis explains: “When Americans prepare to file their tax returns in January of 2011, they’ll be in for a nasty surprise—the AMT won’t be held harmless, and many tax relief provisions will have expired. The major items include:”

The AMT will ensnare over 28 million families, up from 4 million last year.

Small business expensing will be slashed and 50% expensing will disappear.

Taxes will be raised on all types of businesses.

Tax Benefits for Education and Teaching Reduced.

Charitable Contributions from IRAs no longer allowed.

With the US economy literally teetering on the edge of collapse – what do you suppose will happen when this shake down of American citizens begins next year and they find they must face the fact that what many conservative commentators told them was going to happen has happened, and, too, they find themselves facing financial ruin. Desperation time will certainly be upon us. The reaction of a P.O’ed American citizenry will make the reaction of the people of Greece look like a Sunday school picnic!

America, we are in dangerous times. Desperate people are completely unpredictable. There is yet a short time to prepare for the coming anarchy in America.

First, we must get to the polls, in droves; this coming November and try to break the grasp the socialist/democrats have on our national and state governments. Even if we are successful -- we can still only hope to blunt the effects of the on rushing tsunami of governmental demands for your money to fuel an ever growing, entirely too powerful, central government that is sucking the life out of America.

What if you went to school for 6 to 8 years to earn your medical degree? Suppose you had HUGE student loans to pay off as well as set up a practice and purchase the necessary equipment you need as a doctor to treat your patients properly -- and suppose you had to submit to more training practically every year of your career to stay abreast of new treatments, new equipment, and new federal and state laws pertaining to your practice of medicine.

Just suppose you did all of the above and then wake up one morning to find that you were no longer a private physician, no longer a small business owner, no longer your own boss, but a government beaurocrat taking orders on how to practice medicine, how and with which government approved treatment plan you are allowed to treat your trusting patients. What would YOU do? Huh? I THOUGHT SO! You’d quit, right?

Well, according to a recent survey, 46 percent of the Primary Care doctors practicing medicine in America today say they WILL quit when ObamaCare becomes the law of the land… and I do not blame them one bit! The New England Journal of Medicine reported in its March-April 2010 issue that 46.3% of Primary Care Physicians will likely leave the practice of medicine if ObamaCare was passed into law..(SOURCE).

With a large shortage in Primary Care doctors causing problems in America today and half of the remaining P. C. doctors vowing to quit – do you still believe the myth, no, let’s call it what it is, the LIE, the Obama Regime fed to gullible Americans that there would be no healthcare rationing in America. It was BS all along… and Obama and his minions knew it then -- and they know it now!

Face it people, you have been had – again! Obama LIED to you. The socialist (sometimes referred to as democrats -- but more often these days the more accurate term – socialists) lied to you!

The whole ObamaCare package is a lie from start to finish! It is the biggest swindle ever perpetrated on a nation anywhere, anytime. America has been SCREWED!

You know, we have come to expect politicians to lie, but for goodness sakes, dear reader, the Obama Regime has become a nest of pathological liars, as has the Pelosi Posse in the US House of Representatives!


Look, America blundered, big time, back in 2008 when they elected Obama as President. The folks across the pond may just LOVE him, but here in America, he is fast becoming one of the least respected Presidents ever -- worse, even, than Jimmy Carter OR Bill Clinton (Clinton was Impeached!) I am convinced he is a socialist. I mean: If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and flocks with other socialist, then it is most likely, a duck/socialist.


ObamaCare is destined to ruin the American healthcare system. With the current HUGE shortage in doctors, especially General Practioners, plus the 46%, or so, of currently practicing doctors about to quit – where will the doctors come from to work in the ObamaCare system as government apparatchiks? How many scholars, who had been considering medicine as a career, will look elsewhere for a profession not yet tainted by the mailed fist of the federal government thereby maintaining the doctor shortage?


We must ask if the US government is considering bringing in doctors from abroad, docs who may, or may not have been trained up to the standards required of doctors practicing medicine in the US? Will he activate military reserve medics and doctors and place them in civilian hospitals and government clinics? Hey, the doctors have to come form somewhere?


We already expect to find, manning the front lines in doctor’s offices, Physician’s Assistants and Nurse Practioners. My state is even considering allowing Nurse Practioners to use the title of “Doctor.” Oh, did I mention NC has a Democrat dominated State Legislature. That said, we Tar Heels just KNOW they will look out for the people of the Old North State rather than Obama – right? Yeah, RIGHT!


America is in serious trouble. The depth of that trouble is, as yet, unfathomable.

Reflections on a National Disaster ... Alan Caruba

Dear US Reader:

Repealing ObamaCare will be a HUGE task for Americans. Can we do it now that so much damage has been done to our country?

There is no doubt that the Obama Regime has so damaged the US that it will take generations to repair those damages and recover. Some of the damages are permanent.

I remain of the opinion that the US will not survive another two decades as a single fifty state entity. The differences are much too great for Americans to continue to live together in harmony as we have in the past. The wounds are too great and much too deep.

Mr. Obama has delivered on his promise to “fundamentally change America.” In his short time in office he has managed to drive a wedge between us that can never, in my opinion, be removed.

I now accept that Obama is a “transformational president.” The physical evidence is such that I can no longer deny it. All one has to do is look about. American went from a constitutional republic to a socialist state in just a few months under Mr. Obama’s Marxist rule.

Next time you have access to a dictionary, please look up the word “socialism.” The definition you see there will match what Obama has done to America to a “tee.” I checked several dictionaries before I used the word in the first article I wrote about the changeover in America to socialism.

Reflections on a National Disaster

There is no question in my mind that I have lived long enough to see everything the nation once stood for in our own eyes and in the eyes of the world begin to disintegrate and fail.

John Adams, for those who slept through history class, was America’s second president, and one of the Founders who participated in the writing of our Constitution. If you worry about deals made behind closed doors, you are herewith reminded that the Constitution was written behind closed doors. Though the room in Philadelphia had its share of lawyers, the man who presided over the process was a soldier and farmer called George Washington. Others included farmers, physicians, and even clergymen.

Along with Thomas Jefferson and James Madison, the sharpest mind among them was that of John Adams. After the ratification of the Constitution, he warned that “a Constitution of government once changed from freedom can never be restored. Liberty, once lost, is lost forever.”

The healthcare bill is freedom lost forever. I hope I am wrong, but I now doubt it will be repealed, nullified by the states, or reversed by the Supreme Court. While it is true that most constitutional scholars believe it is unconstitutional, taking and twisting the Commerce clause beyond recognition, I believe the damage has been done.

I freely admit that, before the vote, I remained hopeful that, even if enacted and signed, it could be overturned, but I am now less confident of that. In retrospect, the entitlement society that began in the depths of 1930s Great Depression and has been expanded ever since has proven to be the slow poison that will undo our constitutional system of government.

Conservatives have long warned against the excesses and delusions of liberals, but we have also seen self-identified conservatives like former President George W. Bush preside over the expansion of Medicare with a prescription program that defied any manner of funding at a time when Medicare and Social Security was known to be going broke.

In 2005, Bush did try to mend the system for the vast redistribution of wealth by campaigning to allow workers to divert some of their Social Security into private accounts as a hedge against old age and illness. When Nancy Pelosi said this was a plan to unravel public pensions, the voters decided they didn’t like that idea.

I confess I have tried in my mind to dismiss the Speaker of the House as just some lunatic, fringe advocate for liberalism run amuck, but like a lot of Republicans today, it is clear that she was underestimated (along with the Senate’s Harry Reid) for her political skills.

She engineered a political victory that has not only restored President Obama’s reputation as a leader on the domestic front, but has set in motion the destruction of America’s frail financial foundations.

Few believe that the U.S. can continue to borrow the billions necessary to maintain Social Security and Medicare. The alternative, of course, is to tax all Americans to such an extent that it destroys the middle class and drives more corporations offshore.

Speaker Pelosi eat, drank, and breathed Democrat politics from birth. Her father, Thomas D’Alesandro was a congressman and mayor of Baltimore. Her brother was also a mayor of Baltimore. She made her first public speech at age seven at her father’s swearing in ceremony.

I opened with a quote by John Adams and will close with one by Thomas Jefferson:“I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.”

Americans, however, have long since abandoned the principles of the Constitution, a small and limited central government, for a behemoth that now controls our very lives through a bill that vastly expands the federal government and gives it the power to intervene between our physicians and ourselves.

We have been betrayed by an insurance industry that will be happy to rid itself the high risk and costly need to provide health insurance while continuing to prosper from life, property, and other forms. We have been betrayed by the pharmaceutical companies now salivating at the prospect of future profits funded by the taxpayers. The American Medical Association supported healthcare reform; a betrayal.

Even the States, many of which now want to protect themselves from even greater unfunded mandates, have long since abandoned their sovereignty by allowing the federal government to control education, highways, environment, and a myriad of other local responsibilities.

None of the institutions of government, not the executive, not the Congress, and probably not the courts will uphold a Constitution now distorted beyond recognition. Despite the usual talk of a new revolution, of midterm elections to return power to the Republican Party, the People are essentially defenseless.

Tell me I am wrong. Then tell me why.
