As we see today, Teddy was absolutely right.  We have become the very thing he warned we would become if we did not drop the hyphen – both mentally and physically.  Indeed, we have “become a tangle of squabbling nationalities.”

Even President Woodrow Wilson regarded "hyphenated Americans" with suspicion, saying, "Any man who carries a hyphen about with him carries a dagger that he is ready to plunge into the vitals of this Republic whenever he gets ready.” (SOURCE)

At no time is it more obvious than during an election cycle when the politicians begin their pathetic pandering to every hyphenated group of so-called Americans in the country… both legal and illegal.

Since Teddy made his remarks we have embraced the hyphen ad infinitum.  Now we have:  African American, Arab American, Asian American, European American, Latino American, Native American, Chinese American, English American, Filipino American, Greek American, German American, Irish American, Indian American, Italian American, Japanese American, Jewish American, Korean American, Mexican American, Norwegian American, Azerbaijani American, Polish American, Russian American, Spanish American, Swedish American, Ukrainian American, Vietnamese American, and the list just continues to grow.

America is more divided today that she was during The War Between the States.  We each seem to have our own little tribe to which we belong.  The once famed “American culture” no longer exists.  We have submerged it in a sea of multiculturalism and it has become the victim of something called “diversity.”  Both Multiculturalism and Diversity were begat by Political Correctness, which has its roots in Marxism.  Yes, I am saying America is becoming a Marxist country.  The evidence is overwhelming.  For exhibit number one, look no farther than the current occupant of the Oval Office of the President of the United States.

We are drowning in a sea of hyphens!

Whatever happened to plain ole Americans?  Only a cursory investigation will reveal that they have been relegated to the dusty corners of our society where they can speak of such things as loyalty to one’s nation, honor, patriotism, and worse, GOD! … and not offend the purveyors of political correctness -- the practitioners of Marxism.

The past few generations of Americans have been indoctrinated in our government schools so that they believe that multiculturalism and diversity are GOOD.  These are the same government schools that replaced prayer with policeman, psychologists, chain link fences, and metal detectors. 

What did we expect?

America is in such hopeless shape that we cannot manage to convince anyone capable of leadership to even stand for election.  Instead, we republicans have this gaggle of second and third stringers who have done nothing but embarrass half of the GOP while the other half is praying to God that he provide a miracle and produce a leader (quickly) we can have, at least, SOME confidence in.

America has lost its identity.  We no longer know who we are. This is the result of hyphens, multiculturalism, and diversity.  Until we can reclaim our real identify -- and coalesce around that identity as one people -- we cannot hope to heal our nation.

The US used to be described as a “melting pot.” Today, that melting pot has transformed into a “Boiling Pot” heated by the rage of LEGAL American citizens born and raised in this country and by naturalized American citizens who went to the trouble to enter this country – LEGALLY-- out of respect for the laws of their newly adopted country.

Millions of so-called “immigrants” have chosen to break and enter the United States by crossing our clearly marked borders illegally. Those who do so are called “illegal aliens,” “illegal immigrants,” and a number of other terms less printable than these two.

The reason we call them ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS is because they are in this country illegally.

So – they find it “offensive?” Say WHAT? It reminds me of an old joke from the 1940’s and 1950’s with the punch line: “Don’t you call me what I is!” But, of course, that old joke IS offensive today… as is so much of our language and, well, darn near everything that gave us color and spice, and yes, even spirit as Americans. We have gelded ourselves as a robust, boisterous, flamboyant people. We have become lifeless, pale, bland, and dull. Political Correctness did it all.

Now comes more politically correct pabulum from a journalist’s organization. It seems they find the term “Illegal Immigrant” offensive and even unconstitutional!

In an article By Eric Scheiner entitled: “Society Of Professional Journalists Says 'Illegal Immigrant' Is An 'Offensive' Term” CNSNews reports the following:

"The Diversity Committee of the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) is undertaking an educational campaign against the term “illegal immigrant” seeking to inform reporters that the term “illegal immigrant” is “offensive” to Latinos.

In the latest issue of SPJ’s magazine ‘Quill’, SPJ’s Diversity Committee member Leo Laurence writes about the campaign referencing the National Association of Hispanic Journalists’ recommendation to use “undocumented immigrant” or “undocumented worker” and to “Avoid using ‘illegal(s)’ as a noun.”

"SPJ’s Diversity Committee met during the 2010 convention in Las Vegas and decided to engage in a yearlong educational campaign designed to inform and sensitize journalists as to the best language to use when writing and reporting on undocumented immigrants," wrote Laurence.

In his article, Laurence also made a constitutional argument against the term 'illegal immigrant', “One of the most basic of our constitutional rights is that everyone (including non-citizens) is innocent of any crime until proven guilty in a court of law," wrote Laurence. "That’s guaranteed under the Fifth, Sixth and 14th Amendments of the Constitution.”

Am I mistaken in my belief that the US Constitution is for “AMERICANS?”I mean -- legal citizens of the United States? I know our government seems bent on extended rights intended for American citizens to terrorists and to Illegal Aliens, but wait a cussed minute! Doesn’t it cheapen those rights? Doesn’t that make a joke of all the efforts our forefathers made to protect and defend those rights?

Look: Attempting to change the way we refer to illegal aliens is not entirely politically correct. It is propagandizing of the highest order.

It seems to me, as a former member of the press, that the job of a reporter, a member of the press, and/or a journalist, is to report the news. They have no business trying to influence the way you and I think about the news. But that appears to be exactly what this campaign is all about.

I find the very fact that illegal aliens are in this country illegally – “OFFENSIVE!” I find the fact that my government will not do its duty – and STOP IT! – OFFENSIVE as all get-out! The moment they set foot on US soil, without the proper, documentation, they have broken US laws and the laws of many of our states.

Here is the bottom line, as I see it: This campaign is all about One-World Governance, a One World Government, or Global Government. A globe with no borders and a single government – likely, the United Nations or some equally pathetic bunch of yahoos we never met -- let alone elected.

To those in the Mainstream Media: This is why your newspapers are failing. This is why your magazines are failing. This is why your broadcast “talk shows” fail. This is why your news networks run second, at best, to Fox News. The American people know YOU CANNOT BE TRUSTED, anymore!

Don’t talk to me about “Undocumented Workers.” Don’t talk to me about “Undocumented Immigrants.” They are, in fact, Illegal Aliens, Illegal Immigrants, or even “Undocumented Democrats,” or in most cases, “Undocumented Mexicans.”

Of course, all this effort is intended to assist the democrats in gaining AMNESTY for those millions of Illegal Aliens already in this country sucking the life out of the economy of a number of our states. But HEY, if given citizenship, they’re going to vote democratic! See where all this is going?

Yes, the melting pot is boiling over -- and with good reason. We are suffering the greatest land invasion in history while our government looks the other way and tries, desperately, to distract its citizens from observing the madness, the mischief, the malign intent of a shadow government controlled by a cabal of uber-wealthy miscreants with Napoleonic complexes and a lust to rule the world!

What’s next in the quest for security at US airports? Cavity searches? Seems to me, that’s about the only thing NOT searched these days.

The US is fatalistically politically correct. We refuse to make a point of searching the very people we already know are the most likely, of all the people boarding aircraft in the US, to be carrying explosive materials, or weapons. Instead, our government is forcing EVERYONE to suffer the indignity of full body scans or “pat downs.”

The US Constitution used to protect American citizens from unreasonable searches. But the US government has made it clear in the past few days that unless the Supreme Court steps in and forces them to abide by the constitution they intend to continue violating the rights of American citizens.

Profiling is the answer to all this humiliation at US airports. We know the profile of a person, more likely than anyone else in the general public, to be carrying a device, or materials, forbidden on aircraft. THOSE are the people the government should be patting down and body scanning – not grandmothers, 3-year old children, or even nuns.

So how would the airport screeners know to scan and or pat down? Well, let’s take a look at history for a clue:

1968 Bobby Kennedy was shot and killed by a Muslim male extremist between the ages of 17 and 402.

In 1972 at the Munich Olympics, athletes were kidnapped and massacred by Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 403.

In 1979, the US embassy in Iran was taken over by Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40.

During the 1980's a number of Americans were kidnapped inLebanon by Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40.

In 1983, the US Marine barracks in Beirut was blown up by Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40.

In 1985 the cruise ship Achille Lauro was hijacked and a 70 yearold American passenger was murdered and thrown overboard inhis wheelchair by Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40.

In 1985 TWA flight 847 was hijacked at Athens , and a US Navydiver trying to rescue passengers was murdered by Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40

In 1988, Pan Am Flight 103 was bombed by Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40.

In 1993 the World Trade Center was bombed the first time by Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40.

In 1998, the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania were bombedby Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40.

In 9/11/01, four airliners were hijacked; two were used asmissiles to take out the World Trade Centers and of the remaining two, one crashed into the US Pentagon and the other was diverted and crashed by the passengers. Thousands of people were killed by Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40.

In 2002 the United States fought a war in Afghanistan against Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40.

In 2002 reporter Daniel Pearl was kidnapped and murdered by Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40.

And now we can add: In 2009, 31 people wounded and 13 AmericanSoldiers murdered on base at Fort Hoodby a Major that was known as a:You guessed it - A Muslim male extremist between the age of 17 and 40.

Profiling could include the country of one’s origin, one’s behavior, one’s religion, one’s gender, and yes, even the color of one’s skin.

Profiling would make air travel in America much safer than it is today. To continue to lie to ourselves, as we do under the current politically correct non-profiling system, does not make us safer. In my opinion, it only makes us more vulnerable to would-be terrorists while denying Americans their constitutional rights.

I have to tell you, I view the government’s behavior at US airports as just another example of the Obama Regime’s lack of respect for the rights of US citizens under the constitution. Once more, they demonstrate their distaste for the limits the constitution places on government.

Americans are indisputably losing another of our cherished freedoms. That is the ability to move about as we please. Since the birth of the country we have had the ability to go anywhere, within the states, when we please, anyway we pleased. No longer. Our cherished mobility has been curtailed.

If we are to regain control of our government, we have to continue purging the government of the liberal-socialists remaining in the election of November 2012. Then, and only then, can we have a chance at regaining our lost freedom.
