No Constitutional Right to Vote!

As a citizen of the US, you have NO Constitutional Right To Vote for a Presidential Candidate… period. The right to vote has been left to the states by the founders of the country and the framers of the Constitution. It is a “states rights” issue and it should remain that way.

The three ring circus, on display in the Congress yesterday, (1-06-05) was just another attempt by those who lost, (because the American people rejected their socialistic agenda) to bring doubt and raise questions in the minds of those who look to their leaders in Washington for “original” thinking. Denial is a powerful influence and it clouds the mind. The smoke screen, they created yesterday, only serves to bolster the Republican influence on the American voter. Voters heard the message of both parties and rejected the Democrat message in favor of the Republican message.

What we saw yesterday was an attempt by the Democrat National Leadership to stir-up their base and create more hate, distrust, and spite in their ranks. They have yet to understand that what they were doing yesterday is exactly the reason they were rejected in November. If the election was stolen from them it was they who stole it. Their disgusting display of “Sour Grapes” yesterday was reminiscent of a child, in the throes of a temper tantrum, stamping his feet and bawling, “It ain’t fair!” They choose to forget that the United States is NOT A DEMOCRACY. IT IS A REPRESENTATIVE REPUBLIC. There is a huge difference.

The most troubling thing about the immature display in the House, and the Senate, yesterday, in contesting the Electoral College vote of Ohio, was the fact that the Democratic National Leadership is going after voting rights which are, in fact, state’s rights. Now, if you want to get a Southerner mad (not angry… MAD!) that is exactly the tactic you want to take. I refer you to the “Recent Unpleasantness” of 1861 thru 1865. Regardless of what you were taught in the Public School System, (Government Schools), that war was fought over States Rights! Deep scars linger… and will for generations well into the future.

Those instigating the fracas in the Congress today seem to be hell-bent on taking us down that road again.

We don’t want the elections in this country federalized. No good can come of it. The Federal Government has entirely too much power now.

Thank God that most of the members of Congress had the good sense to see what a volatile issue it is. The “rabble rousers” I saw on the floor of the US House yesterday would very much like to see a scenario much like what just happened in Ukraine. The problem for them, even though they refuse to see it, is in the event of a “do over election”… the outcome would be the same. Then what?

I remain,

Your Obedient Servant,

“Longstreet
