Hillary from the Right

Well, Hillary is following the program.

For months now, Conservatives have been proclaiming that Hillary will run and she will run from the “right”. That is exactly what she is doing. Like her husband, before her, she will run from the right and govern, (God preserve us!) from the left! The “thinking” Democrats know they cannot win if their candidates run from the “left”. No matter how you slice it, this country is, by far, a conservative country. That goes double for the people of the South.

So, the Democrat base is already on board then? Not by a long shot. Howard Dean has that crowd. Hillary is hoping to draw the conservative Democrats back into the fold with her pronouncements of conservative views. Then, when the primaries arrive, the Conservative Democrats will bulldoze the Dean crowd and, having no one else to vote for, the Democrat “lefties” will throw their support behind Hillary. That’s the strategy. It should work.

Then reality will set in. The American people are not easily fooled. Harry Truman said: “Given a choice between a fake Republican and a real Republican the American people will choose the real Republican every time”. Somehow, the modern day Democrats have forgotten that.

Now, I’m not complaining, understand. We Republicans understood from the git-go that Hillary would take this tact. We were/are counting on it. But, then we conservatives are dumb, ignorant, simpletons… as we have been told so often by the Democrats who, to be so darned smart, manage to lose a heck of a lot.

I think we need another Bush to run in ’08. How about Jeb? Huh? If we’re going to create a dynasty here, then let’s go whole-hog and not hold back. Jeb Bush would make us a fine President.

We’d better be about the business of choosing our candidate quickly, ‘cause the Democrats already have theirs and the Media Wing of the Democratic Party will fill the airwaves with the “Hillary Chronicles” from now ‘til election day evening! That is another thing we can count on.

You know there is an old expression: “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over, and expecting a different outcome every time.” That phrase should be engraved on the first page of the Democratic playbook.

But, then what do I know? I’m just a dumb ole Conservative.

Your Obedient Servant,

“Longstreet”

  1. Barbara Boxer for President
She is the person our country needs. She has shown her willingness to stand up for elector integrity by being the only senator to vote for a discussion of the 2004 election. She drives a hybrid car, indicating she is cognizant of our coming shortage of oil, she opposed the appointment of both Rodriguez for Attorney General and Condolesa Rice for Secretary of State. Rodriguez for his memos saying torture of prisoners was OK, and Rice for her lack of vigilance over 9-11. She opposes Bolton's appointment as Ambassador to the UN on grounds that he has advocated that the US be the only permanent member of the Security Council and has said that the UN is no good to the US.
