Coming to America: "Death of a President".

Has the Political Left lost what little mind it had left??? It would certainly appear so!

A British made film titled: “Death of a President” portrays President Bush being gunned down, by a sniper, minutes after making a fictional speech in Chicago in 2007. Using computer wizardry, the filmmakers place President Bush’s head on the body of an actor and the scene looks amazingly real. Too real.

Americans are furious!

How could a country, declaring itself to be America’s ally, allow such a film to be made, let alone aired on British TV. This BRITISH film will be shown, for the first time, at the Toronto Film Festival later this month. (September 2006)

Americans are asking if this is the manifestation of a deep-seated desire of "the dark side", the Political Left? Others ask if this film is an open invitation for some "nut" to imitate the movie? You know, “Life Imitating Art”, and all that elitist garbage.

Look, I can still tell you exactly where I was and what I was doing the day President Kennedy was shot and killed in Dallas, Texas. I wept with the remainder of the country… and I didn’t even like the guy! But, he was MY President!

I held my breath when President Reagan was shot... and I prayed. Him, I DID like.

There is no single tragedy as personal to the people of a country, as an attempt upon the life of their leader. Yes, it IS personal. An attack upon the American President is an attack upon every American, for like it or not, he represents EVERY American.

We have federal laws in this country, which may prevent the film from being shown within the borders of the country. There are reports that the rights to show the film in the USA have been bought for one million dollars. But there are laws in this country, which make it a federal crime to threaten the life of the President… and there should be. We are hoping those laws will apply to the distribution and screening of this despicable movie within the United States.

The "Lunacy of the Left" has reached a definite degree of MADNESS.

On the bright side, this film will be the best political advertising the Conservative Right could possibly hope for in the run up to the November elections. It will serve as a reminder of who we (Conservatives) are dealing with and the degree to which they will stoop to regain power.

This film will make it even more difficult for despondent voters, on the Right, to stay home… and will, indeed, propel many more to the ballot box in November to ensure the Left is kept away for the reins of power in the US government.

It has been said that… out of power the Political Left is Hilarious. In power they are Dangerous! It would appear they are now dangerous… even out of power. Their flailing about, within the government apparatus, does great damage to the country and their equally frustrated flailing, outside of government, is demonstrated so vividly by this unfortunate film.

As November draws nigh, the Left ratchets up their childish manifestations of impotence with this film standing as stark evidence of their madness.

  1. Now YOU sound as upset as some people when they aired a ficticious movie (The road to 911) and called it a docudrama.... Please it's only a movie. I do not take it as a personal attack, I didn't vote for him and I don't view him as my president, just a place holder until we can have un-rigged elections again! Shoot I don't even view him as human, just a walking talking dung pile like his parents, grandfather who financed Hitler's military on wall street, great granfather "the merchant of death" as he was known, do the research to find out why, children, siblings grandchildren and all that come from his bloodline.

  3. I never said there weren't any evil Democrats...... His great Grandfather made a killing buying defective guns from the u.s., supposedly fixing them and selling them back, these guns would then "blow up" in the faces of American soldiers.... That is why the name "Merchant of Death"... Totally un-noble un-American family.

  4. I can understand the feelings of indignant offense felt by some americans at the making of this film, and I agree that it is crass and lacking somewhat in taste. However, it is made clear that it is fiction and i get the distinct impression that it will be the stock 'Assassination of president version 3' storyline and can safely be dismissed as the usual media schlock that we get fed.
I can't understand the fury over these obviously partisan dramas (Path and Death) Drama can say what it likes, always has done and always will, and what it says will hardly ever be the truth. I would be more inflamed at the fact that our media is partisan at all. News providers, from bloggers to big daily newspapers and rolling news channels, shouldn't be partisan at all. It is not the job of those reporting events to take sides, their job is to tell us the facts. We need a neutral media, its what freedom of the press is all about. That some people decided to tell stories that you didn't like is of far less consequence than the fact that our media is biased.

  5. Well said Mandrill, well said, any time you see a comercial during the news, you see who is paying for that news, and all the networks are owned by conservative corporations with conservative agenas, at least in this country. Now they want to allow mdia companies to own more stations and channels (raise the limits they can own) more consolidation, less independent news. What happened to competition being good for the consumer, and information being great for the preservation of a Democracy? Wait until they attack the Blogosphere, what happened to the "I want the government off my back" crowd?

  6. This is b******t.

I am a very proud member of that "left" you try to broad-brush, and I am appalled. Even the suggestion that something like this be done to the leadership undermines the institutions that prop up the society-and I assure you, I despise the Chimperor. Make no mistake. But I wish him a long and healthy retirement-the sooner, the better.

I wonder how up in arms you were when Ann Coulter was suggesting poison as a means of getting more of her kind on the SCOTUS? I suspect you had very little to say about it-after all, Ann's just a rabblerouser, free speech and all that...

  8. For the record, let me say that the "get the Government off my back" crowd lost the war and surrendered in April, 1865 at little Virginia town called Appromattox Courthouse. That day was the birthday of the BIG, Strong, Federal Government in the United States.

God bless my ancestors, they tried!!!
