GOP Loses ’08 Presidential Election to Democrats as Democrats solidify their hold on both Houses of Congress!

GOP Loses ’08 Presidential Election to Democrats as Democrats solidify their hold on both Houses of Congress! ____________________

That is the headline we will see in November of 2008!

Startling, isn’t it? I mean… to suddenly see it in print. Nevertheless, that is exactly where this election cycle is headed… at full speed!

The Republican Party has ceded the 08 elections. They have no one to run. The candidates they are putting forward are all sacrificial lambs. None of them can win. The irony in all this is… the GOP knows it!

Come on folks! Let’s face it! The GOP has collapsed. It is effectively without leadership on the national level. How else to explain the utterly disgraceful last few years of GOP control in the Houses of Congress and the office of the President?

Look, the President is not a conservative. He never was. Anytime one feels compelled to qualify one’s conservatism by placing the word “Compassionate” in front of it… then one’s conservatism is questionable! Need I say more?

There is absolutely no conservative leadership in the Congress. None, whatsoever. Conservatives do not act as the elected Representatives and Senators who sail beneath the GOP colors in Washington. Conservatives do not allow themselves to be steam-rolled by a bunch of limp-wristed Lefties. The GOP crowd currently occupying the Congress does! It’s pitiful to watch. My own Senators are poor excuses as representatives of the red state of North Carolina. I fully expect both to be brought home next election.

The GOP is in disarray. It is ineffectual as a political force. It offers no more obstruction to the Socialist efforts of the Democrat Party than a speed bump at the Daytona Raceway! Frankly, the GOP is just taking up room.

When the GOP turned it’s back on it’s Conservative base, it committed suicide. It’s actions turned most of us conservatives away… forever. Currently, I’m looking for a CONSERVATIVE political Party with which to affiliate. I’ve had it with the GOP’s platitudes and promises and their lack of spine when the chips are down.

The Democrat Party is going to win in 2008 and they’re going to win BIG! They have no opposition. You can’t seriously believe that the pitiful field of candidates the GOP is offering up for President has a remote possibility of success? Can you? If you do, you need professional help… soon!

The thing I cannot understand… there are millions of conservative American voters out here in the boonies. Why do we not have our own political party? So we DON”T have enough juice to win elections! Ok! But… we have enough to SWAY elections, that’s for darn sure! Seems to me, if we were organized under our own banner, the other two parties would be compelled to come to us for support. We could withhold support from that party which does not favor our political platform and give our support to the party that does. That would give us more power than we have now as part of a party that does not value us and continually ignores us.

I’m serious about this! As a life long Conservative Republican, I am more than a little tired of my vote being taken for granted. Well, I’m not going to be taken for granted again! I will not vote for any of the Republican candidates already announced. I will, if I must, write in the name of a Conservative. I urge all conservatives to do the same.

I ask you, fellow Conservatives, what have we got to lose? We put the Republicans in power and we have learned that are unwilling, or unable, to carry the ball. Plus, they do not want us! I don’t know about you… but I got the message!

I have already contacted my State Board of Elections to learn about becoming a registered Independent.

If you should know of efforts to organize a Conservative Political Party in this country, I’d be grateful if you would leave a comment concerning those efforts.

He is a right-wing totalitarian and you can't get anymore conservative than that.

He sure as hell ain't no liberal. I don't know how you qualify someone a conservative, but if thay are pro big business and anti the middle class that makes them Conservative ie. No Good in my book. He runs on a platform of restricting human and civil rights, personal freedoms on a fraudulant claim "of less intrusive government". Starts a war to help his biggest contributor, the oil companies, and if you disagree with his "war" he gets the nuts out to call good people unpatriotic.... If this sir is not a classic case of conservatism, I do not know what is.

  2. “……..If this sir is not a classic case of conservatism, I do not know what is.”

Well, Frank, you got that much right! You DON”T know what Conservatism is!

Look, Bush is a MODERATE! His father was/is a moderate. Moderates are dangerous. They have difficulties deciding where they are going to come down on political issues.

The reason we’re in the mess we are… is… that he is not a conservative! A conservative would have cleaned that rat’s nest, in Iraq, out in a few days and been outta there. A conservative would not open our borders to illegal immigrants, and terorrists, and dope smugglers, and who the hell knows who, or what, else is coming across. And the list goes on and on.

Son, you have fallen into the trap you Liberals so carefully manufacture. That is thinking that anyone not as liberal as you… is a conservative. Absolutely untrue. Between where you are, on the political spectrum, and where I am on the political spectrum, is the middle… and that is where the moderates are. The “middle of the roaders”. They can’t commit! They’re dangerous. They’re as likely to swing one way… as the other. Moderates continually keep the political spectrum off balance.

    Best regards!

No sir I haven't I just know that those who disagree with me are, well..... Wrong! Ha! I am against open borders, free trade, globalism, and had a declaration of war been made, had the masses in this nation been engaged with patriotic servitude after 9-11 instead of being told to "go shopping", if our news had the war on the front page, instead of Brittany Spears with a shaved head, had the nation been called to sacrifice, something, anything, gas rations, rubber drives, all the things that went on when we were at war, whatever for the war cause, I'd see us at war and I'd support us at war. When we're told just go on with your lives while we nation build and transfer tax dollars to Bushes buddies who then move corporate headquarters to Dubey (SP), a nation that supports our enemies, I have to say "Hell no, enough is enough!" I sir am for less government intrusion into our lives, but "small government" is not the same. Look at Walter Reed, they took the government employess out and handed the running of the Militaries Premire hospital over to a private firm, and see the mess we have now. Somethings can and need to be done by the Federal government, if we only had competant leaders, Bush just wants to show how bad our government can fail at things.

  4. Labels are pretty useless when it comes to determining who would best lead the country. We need to elect the person who can best manage the government.
With that in mind, Romney proved his worth in MA., while the best candidate on the left is Richardson.
Of course, neither will win, so the point is moot.

  6. Frank, you have a lot of T-Points with no real substance.

but if they are pro big business and anti the middle class that makes them Conservative

First of all, big business provides jobs and services for the middle class; Big business provides the economic growth needed to support the middle class... that's basic economics, man. I know your little phrases make you feel good about yourself... but get real.

Secondly, no one started a war for big oil... I mean if you're gonna parrot crap like that you should really just stick to the DU and Huffington Post.

And finally, Longstreet is right. you don't understand conservatism.

It is the fruit of the labors of the middle class that builds the mega corporations that inturn, cut wages and export jobs to 3rd world nations to use child and or cheap "slave" labor. If the American people could come together and agree on what they would, pay wise + other non wage compensation and refuse to work for less, and the government would stop it's global trade policies that cut the legs out from under organized employees, we would have a standard of living that climbs year after year. We should put this as our first priority and vote accordingly. But no we have to ensure extreme prosperity for a select few, keep working poor morons, duped by the elitist "leading class" of the nation tow the lines for them.

  8. Frank, if Opinionnation will forgive me for butting in... I know it is bad manners... but, not knowing when he'd get back to you... I thought I'd interject a thought: What you are advocating, Frank, is pure socialism. To date, the socilaism experiment has failed everytime it has been tried. Just wanted to get that on the table.

Hope yu guys are warming up up there. It'll be in the 70's down here today.

    Best regards!

  9. Call it what you want but we should demand top-dollar for our time away from our families to build the wealth of others..... I never said to do away with Democracy, I just said it's time we working fools learn to do what is best for us, we pay the taxes to keep the poor alive and shelter the rich from paying theirs, all the while CEO pay goes through the roof while our wages are stagnent.......

It'll be near 40 here... Woa! maybe I should run down there and hit the beach with you guys..... I'll bring the cooler of beer :) Best of regards to you too sir!
