Right vs. Left on the Blogosphere

I want to get something off my chest.

Since I began this blog and it began to get the exposure it needed to begin to register on the Blogoshere, I have been getting vicious, bitter, hate filled comments from readers, and 99.9% of it is from the Political Left in America.

It is as though they can hardly contain their hate for everything, and everybody, who does not share their socialist views of the US and the world. There is absolutely no room for discord, unbelief, or descent, among them. You must toe their party line, believe what they do or you are a fascist, a bigot, a racist, a homophobe, narrow-minded, close-minded, nazi, … and the list goes on (of bitter smears) they heap upon anyone who does not march in lock step with them.

If you dare point this out, as I do from time to time, an avalanche of hate mail is unleashed upon this lowly blog! I’m sure it’s the same way at other conservative sites.

Now, I’m no shrink, but I believe a shrink would say this bitterness and this lashing out, by the left, is a manifestation of his, or her, own self-hate and impotency.

Now, to the Political Right: You’re not vocal enough. Plainly and simply, you do not raise your voice often enough in defense of your beliefs and your right to be a conservative. You are, indeed, the "Silent Majority" President Nixon mentioned. And it is hurting the efforts of the Right in this country.

When you read a blog posting you happen to like, leave an encouraging comment. After all, the Right Wing bloggers are on the front lines of the battle with the Left. The left does not hesitate to excoriate the right wing bloggers, and those bloggers could certainly use your defense!

There is a war, in progress, in cyberspace, (especially in the blogosphere) between the political left and the political right. This is a war which will last well into the future. The Right wants to participate in the blogosphere, and the Left wants to control it.

The blogoshere is the new front lines. A new frontier, if you will, and whoever is there first, with the most, (Hat tip to General Nathan Bedford Forrest, CSA) will recognize the rewards it can offer.

More and more people, the world over, are turning to the blogoshere for their news and information.

The Political Right needs to gear up, organize, and go after its share of the blogoshere right now. With an election coming this year, and a Presidential Election coming in 2 years, we need to get ready, right now, to ward off the attacks of the Left, which are sure to come. My guess is they have already laid out a strategy and are fine-tuning it now.

It took the Right 40 years to get itself together in order to gain control of all three branches of the US government. If we wish to maintain that control, we have to turn our attention to the blogosphere… right now!

I found an interesting post on "Opinionnation Times" I’d like to recommend to you. Go here:

Enjoy!

  1. Here's a better idea:

Maintain power by doing good. The Right, as you say, controls the executive, legislative and judicial branches of govern, as well as a majority of large corporations. But I'm reminded of Patch Adams, when he told the hospital administrator "You suck at it!"

Well...the Right sucks at it...and they control everything. Not a good future there...unless they somehow get good.

Goodness is what is lacking in our world. Greed and corruption is the coin of the realm, as we find out more and more each day.

Winning is an empty victory, if you don't know what to do with it.

It seems most Rightish policies are self-serving and greed-based.
Become altruists for a change. People might like you better, and you might be able to hang on to power a little longer.

Now that wasn't so bad, was it?
    A leftist giving positive advice.
We are not bad people. You need to learn that.

    Long live the blogosphere!

    Peace
    Dave

    Oh, the delicious irony...

What's the matter, Longstreet? Depressed because your side is losing the will of the People? That's what happens when you throw your lot in with a criminal protection racket like the GOP. They rule through fear, election fraud, intimidation, graft and corruption. I just wonder when you will finally realize it...

  4. You complain about being called Nazis, I see posts from you saying things like socialist left, come on wake up, even the socialists as you call us reject eropean socialism. It never even caught on in the unions. You call the left moonbats and so on. Do you know what a facist is mr. Longstreet? A facist is someone who makes corporate power greater then that of the state. uh let me guess you do not see that hapening in this country. They put proerty rights over civil rights. They also try to legislate "family" and "religious" values, look at Hitler. Everything I read about happening in Germany I see happening here. Only difference we have guitmo and abugrade instead of German death camps. Longstreet I respect you I just can't believe some of the things this "president" of ours does and you seem okay with it. Puzzling. there is alot of "common ground" with regular Joes, just sad we can't come together on the real important issues.

  5. It is sad, Frankk.

Left and Right want the same thing.

We want a great country, a loving country, a country where our kids can grow up healthy and secure and where opportunity abounds for everyone... regardless of the color of his, or her, skin, a country where we both can worship, as we choose, and where our God given liberties are free from attack. And that just scrathces the surface.

The probkem comes in because... we are going about it in different ways. Somewhere along the line the debate degenerated into an argument and that has degenerated into a brawl.

Our greatest strength has become our greatest weakness. Democracy.

We have come to beleive we live in a democracy. We do not. We live in a representaive republic. Big difference.

I believe Winston Chuirchill was correct when he said that democracy was the worst form of government... except... for all the others.

We need to bring comman decency back into our debates with each other. Respect for each other's viewpoint is essential. It matters not that we disagree, it matters that we respect the person with whom we disagree.

We have loss that respect. Without it, we lose civility. Without civility, we become an anarchistic mob. We are very nearly there.

Somehow, we have to make a decision to change, in this country, or, I'm afraid we are lost.

  6. I'm a Republican, but a very centrist one. When I write things that liberals disagree with, I get angry comments from them, and vice-versa when I write things that right-wingers disagree with.

  7. Boy Adam you got it correct. I am more of a moderate Democrat.... center left. The best part is that we arn't so busy looking left or right that we can't see the truth right infront of us.
