THE TIN POT DICTATORS OF SOUTH AMERICA

The tin pot dictators of Central, and South America, are cursed with huge egos and very short memories! Mr. Chavez, and Mr. Morales, of Venezuela and Bolivia, respectively, come to mind instantly.

These two tough taking "pipsqueaks" are about to talk themselves in to a US Federal Prison.

Their predecessor, one Manuel Noriega, is still rotting away in a Federal Prison in Florida. He, too, made the same threats against the US, and US interests, and, well, we see where he is. Without checking, I’d say there is room for two more such men, full of themselves, and blind to reality.

Let's look at the "Maximum Leader" for a moment:

In 1988, Noriega told his deputy in the Panamanian Defense Forces: "I've got Bush (The First) by the balls".

"Well, What happened? Look at the, ahem, "mug shot" at the left and it is clear SOMETHING did happen!

Going back in time a bit: On December 15, 1989, Noriega sought and was given, by the Panamanian legislature, the title of chief executive officer of the government. And then, the Noriega-led assembly declared that a state of war with the United States existed. The very next day Noriega's soldiers killed an unarmed U.S. Marine officer dressed in civilian clothes.

George Bush, the First, didn't fool around. Two days later, he ordered US troops to Panama. In the predawn darkness of December the 2oth, 1989, US troops invaded Panama and attacked Noriega. The attack, itself, was aimed primarily at Noriega's headquarters. However, some civilian Panamanians became restless and began looting stores, etc, so 2, 000 addition US troops were ordered in and they restored order in Panama City. In the meantime, Noriega, himself, was in hiding, in the Vatican's Embassy. US troops surrounded the Embassy and blasted it, day and night, with loud Rock and Roll music, until on January 3rd, 1990, Noriega came out and surrendered. Heavy Metal Music undid the “Maximum Leader”!

The US Military is currently filled with well trained, hard core, "battle hardened" troops and they’d go through those two countries like a hot knife through butter. And... it may be, through the two doors of Venezuela, and Bolivia, that we enter the country of Cuba and rescue that island nation from their communist government and set them free, again. You see, the US is not unaware of Fidel's hand behind the loud talking Marxists, and their movement in South America.

If the Left is going to accuse the US of creating an "American Empire", then by George (No Pun Intended!), let's go out and create one! What better place to start than in our own backyard?

One thing, the next time we liberate Cuba we must keep it, as a US territory, rather than run the risk of our closest neighbor once again falling into the hands of a despot and/ or communist dictator.

In the meantime, Mr. Morales, and Mr. Chavez, would do well, to look back, at recent history, and understand that the US will only be pushed so far, especially by two countries in our own hemisphere and within our so-called "Sphere of Influence".

How refreshing! Unlike other conservative bloggers who still give lip service to such outdated concepts as "liberty", "democracy" and "the rule of law", you come right out and give a loving "sieg heil!" to the fascist Bush/Cheney regime.

Why shouldn't America knock over any ol' dictator that Cheney doesn't like? We did it with Saddam. The only problem for you Bush bootlickers is that Venezuala is the only on of those "fur'n" countries with oil, so that's the only one the Bush Regime would like to invade...

  2. Until you "Tree-Huggers", on the Left, wise up and let us go after our own oil, such as the oil in ANWR, we will continue to go after someone else's oil. The economy of this country depends on a supply of oil. We WILL get it ... SOMEWHERE... and make no apologies for it!
