The Pack of Rabid Hyenas Called the White House Press Corp.

Did you see the White House Press Corp yesterday?

Oh, my, how they were out for the Vice-president’s head. They came across as a pack of hyenas with rabies! All the snarling, snapping, and biting was a sight to behold. If I still had my press card, I’d burn it! What a damnable lot of pathetic excuses for journalists!

They only people in the US worked up over the accidental shooting of a fellow hunter by the Vice-president… is the Press… and, of course, the always present bunch of losers… the “Bush-haters”. We make allowances for them because of their tendency to be insane.

I’d like to see the President revoke the White House passes of the whole lot and tell the publications and broadcast networks if they wish to cover the white House they should send some people over with a little class and a less obvious bias in favor of the democrat party.

A Republican administration in the US is somewhat like a college athletic event in which the one team has to play against the opposition team and the officials! The Mainstream Media is simply an organ of the Democrat Party. They can be depended upon to fawn over a Democrat administration and try, tirelessly, to undermine a Republican administration.

Yesterday’s demonstration of bias was unforgivable. And the public now sees right through them. Look at their subscriptions. They are losing readers and viewers in droves. The consumer of news is fed up with the one sided, badly researched and badly written reports on what they think is news.

I’d like to feel sorry for them… but, I can’t. They got themselves into this mess and now they will have to pay the price.

  1. Bias? I am just curious, if that guy was injured seriously, or god forbid killed, how long would they have covered it up? I guess Cheney did break the law, didn't havethe correct stamps... I suppose similar to hunting without liscence. I say charge him with illegal use of a fire arm. Wait didn't this chicken little get 5 that's right FIVE deferments from Vietnam? Oh that's right quail do not shoot back. It really is no big deal though who knows how many people Bill Clinton shot in the face, but in his defense I bet none of them were wearing an orange cap and vest.

  2. All the Whitehouse reporters don't show the lack of class some of them do...they just get painted by the same brush, held by NBC's David Gregory. He needs to be ignored, at least until 2008.

  3. I'm not quite sure what you're objecting to, Longstreet. Do you expect the press to NOT ask questions about such an event?

I'm no fan of the MSM, but the reason they seemed to asking so many question is because the White House seemed to be reluctant to release ANY details of the event.

Tell me, would you be bashing the press so much if John Kerry had shot someone while hunting?

  4. A shooting accident, while hunting in Texas, is not illegal unless there is a fatality. His bird stamp was reportedly outdated but that's no big thing. He had the license.

    There was no cover-up. Period.

The MSM was just enraged because the story was released first to the small hometown paper, in Texas, rather than to them. How utterly childish!

YES! If the circumstances surrounding the "ACCIDENTAL" shooting were the same, you bet, I'd go after the press!

Look, I am far more concered over the threat presented to the country, today, by the MSM than I am about runaway government. The threat of runaway governement is always a looming threat no matter who inhabits the White House.

Somehow, somehow, the MsM has decided that it is the fourth branch of govermnment and is entitled to tear down American institutions and propagandise and shape the news just as they want.

I'm so very tired of the press mixing commentary and editorializing into their reporting that I will go after them. They are abusing the Right of Freedom of the Press. The implied "Responsibility" that goes along with every Right has been, and is being, totally ignored by the MsM and it's about time somebody holds a mirror up to their collective faces and shows them the green-faced monster thay have become!

I am convinced that this story would never have been handled , by the Press, as it is being handled, had it been Mr. Kerry who was involved in the accident. I am also convinved the MSM is jealous that the little lady at the small hometown newspaper in Texas was given the story before they were.

Look, I have been a reporter and I know the jealousy of that profession. It is monumental.

We'd better get a rein on the MSM, and soon, or we are going to have some REAL problems, not just in the printed media, and the broadcast media, but right here on the Internet. The Right they enjoy, is not JUST a Right, it is a priviledge and with a little amending of the constitution, that Right can be taken away. If such an amemndment made it's way thru the Congress today and went to the states for ratification, the 39 states required would ratify it in record time. That, sir, is representative of the esteem with which the press is held today.

  6. In a distant corner of a faraway land known as "Texas," a shotgun blast rang out and a man fell to the ground, wounded. Natives called the shooter by an obscure title: "Vice President of the United States of America." Surrounding him was a clan of primitive warriors, their buckskin belts weighed down by tribal trinkets they dubbed "cell phones," "walkie-talkies," "BlackBerrys," and "two-way pagers." On the roadside sat their humble transport, massive vehicles capable of little beyond serving as the command center for the most powerful nation in the world. So, no wonder that news of the shooting took a day to make it 60 long miles away to Corpus Christi, and from there, to the outside world.

Vice President Cheney shot a man in the head on Saturday, and 21 hours later you had to be looking at the Web page of the Corpus Christi Caller-Times to find out about it. (The victim has now suffered a heart attack as a result of being shot.) As White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan picked buckshot out of his own hide, he said "the vice president's office was working to make sure information got out. We learned additional information overnight—throughout the night. We were learning additional information here in Washington."

21 HOURS SOUNDS LIKE A COVER UP TO ME! we should Impeach every Republican and not allow anyone from that party to run for or hold office ever again!

  7. Thank you so much! This is exactly the kind of rubbish that ensures Republican control of thre government for a generation into the future. Republicans can't purchase this kind of assistance.

  8. Duck! It's Dick! he should run for President with that slogan..... He should practice gun control wich is shooting what you are aiming at. And if he was aiming at that guy then it is attempted murder! At least he only shot another republican, no real humans injured there.

  11. What "coverup"???

It was, what, 12 to 14 hours before the MSM got hold of the story? A Corpus Christi paper beat 'em to it, and their egos are badly bruised!

You want to talk about "delays"... how about when Vince Foster committted suicide and it was 30 hours before his suicide note was released to the press. More? How long was it from the time Ted's car entered the water until the authoritiues were told there was a girl's dead body in it?

    Come on people!

Cheney is not running for office again. Bush is not running for office again. The only people you are making look bad, in then eyes of the American voters, is yourselves!

  12. ... and these liberals want to lead America??? Don't make me laugh!

  13. 14 hours before he answerd questions from the police. Shoot first, answer questions later? I don't care that they are not running again. Just trying to show that all politicians are cut from the same cloth, be they Liberals or be they Conservatives. (no one holds a patton on dishonesty)

  14. The county Sheriff was on the scene, in less than an hour, and ruled it an a non-alcohol related hunting accident. Not to mention that the secret service ARE police officers AND they witnessed the incident.

  15. Secret Servicemen keep secrets all the time, shoot it's part of their title. You don't think there were servicemen in the room or right outside while Monica and Mr. Clinton we going at it?
