Iran Continues to Talk Itself into War with the US!

What’s the deal with the Middle Eastern nations who seem to really like beating their chests and getting into p**sing contest with the US? As soon as the first shots are fired they tend to drop to the ground and assume the fetal position. What’s up with that? Huh?

The whole world knows we could go through Iran like crap through a goose… and in about the same length of time!

Yet, they crowd microphones, and TV cameras, to get in our faces and scream of all the horrible things they are going to do to us… and to Israel. There’s something pathological about that.

For the past three weeks we have been treated to almost daily revelations of new super weapons with which the Iranian military is equipped. Most of them, it turns out, are “off the shelf items” from China, and Russia.

What in the world makes them think the US Navy will run from their new super underwater missile traveling at 200 plus miles per hour? We’re not going to run from that thing! We’re going to stop it… by blowing it out of the water. The US Navy doesn’t run!

Now, as to the talks between the US and Iran over their nuclear program, forget about it. It ain’t gonna happen. If I’m wrong, and the talks do occur, they will come to absolutely nothing.

While all the, uh, talking is going on, our friends in the Middle East, the Israelis, are going to slip their leash and blast the living daylights out of Iran’s nuclear facilities and be done with it.

I agree with Israel. The only thing accomplished by going to the UN, and all the blather there, is to allow Iran more time to actually accomplish something with their nuclear program and to prepare for a US Invasion, which isn’t going to come… by land, at least. It also allows Iran time to plan how; exactly, they plan to shut down the Straits of Hormuz. It is there, in those straits, where Iran can actually hurt us. And in so doing she will affect the rest of the world as well.

The US Navy has created a ring of steel around those straits, but no defense is fool proof.

There is no point in waiting on Europe, or the UN, to screw up enough courage to do anything about Iran. The Europeans have been scared witless of the Muslims since the Moors conquered much of Europe. They have never gotten over it. The funny thing is, if the Europeans ever take their heads out of the sand, long enough to look around, they will see the Muslims have already retaken much of Europe.

Don’t believe me? Ask the French.

I don’t think the Israelis will strike before Passover, but, hey, you never know…………………!

  1. IF Israel does dtrike, I hope we support them... Going to the UN is like talking to a wall... All the UN will do is reccommend 'sanctions'...

  2. Amen,gentlemen.
Anyone who thinks the UN or the EU
will lift a finger to help Israel
is a fool. The UN is probably the
    most anti-Semitic organization
this side of the Aryan Brotherhood.
We'd better start lobbying now to
ensure we stand with Israel. Our
State Department is full of Arabists.

  3. isn't "anti-Semitic" just a word for those who speak the truth, even if it doesn't agree with Isreal? That way they can just shut you up and dismiss any intellectual debate beyond that point.

  4. Anti-semitic is erroneously used nowadays. Semitic acually refers to a group of Middle Eastern languages. Among them are Hebrew and the Arabic languages.

The word semite has been tagged (Prefixed, if you will.)with "Anti" and given the new definition of hateing Jewish people. That is wrong, but it is probably too late to correct it.

I don't have a problem disagreeing with Israel when I feel she is wrong. It isn't very often, however. Disagreeing with Israel is certainly not being anti-semitic!

I had a best friend who happened to be a Jewsih Rabbi. He and I worked on a project to attempt to assist kids who were repeat offenders of the law, but the courts just didn't know what to do with them. We worked with those kids and tried to instill some self worth in them, and some pride in them, and counciled them as best we could.

I loved that Rabbi! Still do!

  5. Unfortunately, gentlemen, I WAS born and nearing the age of ten when the State of Israel was established on May 14th, ,1948. Within 24 hours (on May 15th, 1948) Israel was attacked by armies from Egypt, Transjordan (now Jordan), Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq as well as the Palestinians and other Arab guerrillas who had been fighting Jewish forces since November 1947.

The Six Day War, in 1967, again proved Israel's willingness to do whatever it took to survive.

I had the good fortune to interview an Israeli soldier shortly after that war and got a good first hand account of what happened.

When the smoke cleared from that war, Israel had captured the Gaza Strip, and the Sinai Peninsula from Egypt, East Jerusalem and the West Bank, which it captured from Jordan, the Golan Heights, which it captured from Syria.

This captured land increased the size of Israel by four times what it was when the armistace of 1949 was signed. The land Israel captured had roughly 1 and 1/2 million Arabs living on it at the time.

In October of 1973 Syria and Egypt atttacked Israel, again, in an attempt to take back the territory they'd lost in 1967. The war lasted approximately three weeks. Israel won with massive monetary and military assistance from the US.

This does not take into account the Palestinian guerillas fighting Israel almost from day one.

These are just the major engagements. They live in a perpetual state of war.

The point is... the UN never, never, came to Israel's assistance. I have come to believe, from the evidence, that the UN would be delighted with Israel's demise.

Given this brief, and VERY compacted, history of Israel's military history... since 1948, does anyone seriously believe Israel will not bomb the living daylights out of Iran???

  6. Longstreet,
    I wasn't quite 5yrs old when the
Six-Day War began. I do remember
    that my maternal grandfather and
my dad were very surprised at the
    speed in which Israel defeated
    Egypt,Syria,Jordan and Iraq.Mom's
younger brother served in the 6th
Fleet for many years. He met many
Israeli officers during his tours of
    duty in the Med.
He was quite impressed with the
    Israeli Defense Forces.

  7. I, too, have always been amazed at the speed, the sheer daring and bravery of the IDF in the face of insurmountable odds. They are past masters at the art of Preemptive Attack. They always fight with their backs to the wall. It is always a fight to the death.

Yeah, I have tremendous admiration for the IDF!

  8. Well, I certainly agree the IDF are ruthless. But I also try to understand things too. What if a foreign nation took South Carolina and made those people leave and gave it to... uh i don't know.... China or Japan because hey, they need the land. Do you not think that we as a nation would say "Hell No!"? Isreal for all intent and purposes is Occupied Palestine... The World Court ruled so. Ther has been war in that area since the beginning of time.... there will be war there until the end..... Armegedon is actually an old battlefield near Isreal. Maybe we should just let them all "have at it" and make peace with the survivors.... but let them do it on their own, with no help from us or the U.N.

  9. Actually,Frank
    The Scriptures foretell of the
battle to end all battles(Armageddon) will take place in the valley of Megiddo. Megiddo is
about 30 miles north of Jerusalem,
half way between Haifa and the Sea
    of Galilee.Remember, the League of
    Nations(Balfour Declaration) and
the UN established a Jewish homeland in Palestine. I have NO
    regard for the World Court.With
the amount of rampant hatred for
Jews and Israel in Europe for the
past 500yrs, why would I place any
hope in them(World Court) ruling in Israel's favor? There WILL be a
    Final Battle. According to St.John,
Israel wins with God's help. Kinda
trumps anything we mere mortals can
    do.
