Fairness Doctrine??? Not So Fast! We CAN Stop Them!

I’ve been ranting about the imminent re-imposition of the Fairness Doctrine for some time now. Not just “yours truly”, but many conservatives on the Internet have been doing the same thing. We have rattled cages in DC and it would appear we have gotten the attention of a few Congressman and Senators. So, we have the ball rolling now. We must stay behind it and not let up the pressure! We know we can do this. We learned that we have to create an avalanche of correspondence to our Senators and Congresspersons to get their attention. Why? Because it works! Remember, too, the entire US House of Representatives is up for re-election next year. They are as vulnerable, right now, as they will ever be to pressure from constituents.

As a 30-year (retired) veteran of the Broadcasting Business, I know the evils of the so-called-Fairness Doctrine. As a conservative Blogger, I am absolutely convinced that if the Left gets away with the re-imposition of the Fairness Doctrine on Broadcasters, it will only be a matter of time before they seek out ways to silence Conservative talk and communication on the Internet! Count on it.

The time to stop them is now… RIGHT NOW!

  1. it's sad that conservative bloggers like yourself resort to fear mongering to drive policy.

the fairness doctrine has nothing to do with silencing anyone; it has everything to do with giving a voice to others.

i would say that you should be ashamed, but from my experience conservatives have little shame.

  2. Lefty: Your left-wing arrogance doesn't work here! I have 30 years experience working under the restrictions of the so-called Fairness Doctrine. I KNOW of what I speak.

    Best regards!

  3. That's ok, if Fox was on national air waves instead of cable we all know it would put those idelogs out of business.... I wish congress would change the law back regarding foreigners to own media outlets, (OMISSION by ED.)

  4. But, Frank... Murdoch IS an American Citizen. I knew he was... butI lloked it up to be sure. On September 4, 1985, Murdoch became a naturalized citizen, to satisfy the legal requirement that only US citizens could own American television stations. If I am not mistaken, the same holds true for Radio Station in the US as well.

By the way, Murdoch contributes to Mrs. Bill Clinton. Did you know that? As a matter of fact... most corporations contribute to both political parties. Never know when they will need the assistance of one or the other.
