What is Treason?

According to US Law… What is treason, exactly?

There has been, and continues to be, a lot of “sound and fury” concerning the article the MSM published on the US government’s operation to follow the money trail of the Terrorists sworn to kill all of us.

If you are a frequent reader of this site then it will come as no surprise to you to learn that I have no qualms about doing what we have to do, as a country, to keep our fellow Americans safe in this war. For, make no mistake about it; America is neck deep in a war for her very life.

There has always been a certain element among us (Americans) who seem, for all the world, to hate their country, to hate anything their country does, and to take every opportunity to embarrass, or make the US appear to be the global bully. Now, it is bad enough that anyone would do this, but for Americans to do it is a stench in the nostrils of decent people. Still worse, for Americans to do it, while their country is at war, is the worst of the worst.

Some call it treason, some call it sedition, and we can’t repeat what others call it.

But… when one’s disagreement goes so far as to actually give aid and comfort to the enemies of America, then Federal Law, the US Code of Laws, has defined it for all of us. It has proscribed a punishment for that behavior.

There seems to be a distinct lack of knowledge about what is, and what is not, TREASON. So, for those of you who may be a little confused about what, exactly, Treason is, then here is the US law which tells us all exactly what it is, and, in terms even a child can understand:

18 USC Sec. 2381 01/26/98
TITLE 18 - CRIMES AND CRIMINAL PROCEDURE PART I - CRIMES CHAPTER 115 - TREASON, SEDITION, AND SUBVERSIVE ACTIVITIES
HEADING
Sec. 2381. Treason

STATUTE

Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.

Now, you know!

Now that you have this knowledge, it will be much easier to recognize it when you see it, hear it, or read it.

Our government officials continually remind us that we are a nation of laws. I have come to believe they are mistaken. We are, in my view, a nation of un-enforced laws!!! If the laws were enforced we wouldn’t have millions of illegal aliens running around in this country.

In the weeks and months which follow this most recent dust-up with the MSM, we will determine whether our government, and I mean Democrats and Republicans, are serious about enforcing the laws they write, or not. If they are not, then they have no business in the Legislative Body of our land... and should be relieved of their duties at the earliest possible moment… which just happens to be this coming November.

  1. The New York Times and other elite media will never admit when they are wrong. It is truly sad when "reporters" will put soldiers and the War on Terror effort in danger just because they don't like George Bush.

  2. Not to mention that the NY Times has consistently aided our enemies for unjustifiable reasons...
